Tim is the only kind, honest, and knowledgeable mechanic who didn't tell me to change my 2011 Countryman's engine. The dealer told me to sell my car or change the engine over 5 yrs ago. We brought the car to Tim and he made it come back to life, passing Smog tests without any problem. Both our 2005 Mercedes Benz and Countryman have been taken care of superbly. We are so lucky to find Tim at UndergroundAuto Werks.

Indefatigably knowlegable, efficient and genuinely friendly, Tim is our happy choice for ALL-TIME BEST WRENCH EVER.Moreover, Miss Vicky handles the front office with cheerful grace and takes a lot of the stress out of fixing whatever the hell I just broke.

My wife and I recently reached out to Tim after getting my car inspected at a local dealership. Thankfully, he was able to take our car in that day. He looked under the hood, confirmed the issues and actually showed us, kept the car overnight, got the work done, and got it back to us the next day. The issues under the hood were taken care of and it was running very smoothly. He was also very helpful in charging us less than the estimate from the dealership. In short, Tim is knowledgeable, clear, helpful, friendly, and an absolute professional.Bonus: Tim's assistant Vicky is awesome! Had some nice convos with her.Thank you Tim and Vicky!

After being ripped off and misdiagnosed by a backyard mechanic Tim at Autowerks diagnosed the true problem and expeditiously fixed my vehicle as he knew I had to get it home from San Diego where it broke down to Northern California and even called the next day to make sure so had gotten home safely! I found Underground Autowerks by Googling Mercedes shops. I know South Bay Autohaus is an authorized shop, but their prices aren't much better than the dealer! LolTim at Autowerks is great! He is very honest, and very fast! The only thing that is inconvenient is that there is never any parking available at the National City location.

My family and friends have been loyal customers to Tim (Owner) for more than 20 Years. His honesty, reliability, years of experience and excellent quality of work have always been very consistent over the years. When he diagnose our cars, he provides a detailed recommendations or advise you what needs immediate attention or which ones can be revisited. He explains to you the problem and walks you through every aspect of the repair. He knows that every transaction can be costly, (especially for the type of cars we own) so he gives you his very honest opinion. I'm always very comfortable with each process, always a great sense and value for my money, which is very rare nowadays. Your Safety is of outmost importance to him. Tim is the most highly skilled, hardworking professional and honest man you will ever meet. The owner of the shop, Tim, did not respond to my letter or email regarding problems I had with the work that was done. So, don't expect any thing good to come from dealing with him.

As a small business, it's important to rely on a really good mechanic. For one man van, it could be a nightmare on downtime. Tim the owner of Underground Autowerks makes sure to return the vehicle as soon as possible. Tim is very honest, humble, reliable guy and most importantly doesn't BS... I highly recommend Underground Autowerks to friends & family!

I had my car towed to this place after reading a few reviews it sounded like they were honest people and my car would be fixed correctly...well to my surprise I was charged 4000 for nothing because my car still has the check engine light on and it's not running correctly and nothing was done that he charged me for but only one thing and that's the headlights. After my husband. Picking up my car from underground he noticed that the car was doing the same thing. So I made an appointment at Mercedes in Kearney mesa, my car was towed to Mercedes and they checked my Mercedes' and diagnosed it that the car needed an alternator and new ignition coils, something that I specifically told underground to check. Instead they focused on my dam headlights. I had to pay Mercedes' 2800 and car drove find after that. It still needs ignition coils replaced, but I feel that underground should give me some of my money back for doing nothing to my Mercedes'....
