Rafa was very kind and gracious, he was willing to get me in spur of the moment to take a look at my truck transmission after I hauled my travel trailer from Colorado to San Diego for vacation. When it turned out to be an engine misfire issue, he was very honest and accommodating instead of charging me for unneeded work. I highly recommend getting his opinion on your transmission first, his integrity is rare and priceless.

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD.
So I just took my vehicle which was “serviced” by turbo transmissions. The mechanic said that If there was any work done, it was the absolute bare minimum, and it wasn’t even confident it wouldn’t last the month. Top of that they are associated with a dealership that went out of business after being sued for fraud and has had all their inventory confiscated.

So apparently the extended service warranty purchased. This is the only in network transmission shop mechanic that I can go to. I have taken my Vehicle in To have it transmission, Inspected for problems I have not been turned away twice with them telling me that this is all normal. I am posting these pictures four days after picking my vehicle up. This might be a different story if you’re paying customer, but the treatment I have received is damn near criminal.

I dont go out of my way to leave a review but i highly do not recommend this shop. I took my car here to get my synchros rebuilt and he damaged the front bumper.
Second… the seal on the transmission was poorly done… my transmission was missing some gaskets and there were 4 bolts missing… they argued that the bolts were never there to begin with… i dont understand why they just didnt put the bolts in… in addition to that, it was very sloppy and the seal was leaking transmission fluid.
I went to 2 shops and spoke with a nissan technician, looked at the tranny under a lift and they all advised turbos transmission needs to re seal the tranny… When i requested the seal to be redone, he unbolted some bolts and applied more silicone making it more sloppy and this didnt even stop the leak. These guys did not want to do the job correctly, and they absolutely did not want to drop the transmission again.
Its obvious these people dont care and value the condition of your car… awful experience.. awful service, highly unprofessional.. not to mention there was a homeless man in there or couldve been mentally ill just hanging out… Mightve been the one who damaged my front bumper…
They charged me 2800 bucks for all this stuff and the receipt they gave me wasnt even itemized… it didnt show me what the parts cost and what the labor was.. wouldnt recommend coming here…

I was charged $3200+ and the problem with the car remains unfixed.
Initially I was quoted ~$2500-$3200 which seemed comparable to other shops for a transmission repair. After about two weeks I was told the work was done. The mechanic told me the transmission, brakes and steering were "green, green, green" and that he wouldn't let a car out of his shop that wasn't in good repair.
I paid a few dollars less than the upper end of the quote and drove the car home.
Now, less than a week later I am experiencing the same problem I was before taking it to Turbo Transmission. Given I was also assured of the good repair of the brakes and other systems alongside the transmission I am now less confident in those as well. I do not believe the work was good, and, I cannot recommend these mechanics. My only question now is are these mechanics incompetent or dishonest. Go somewhere else that can do it right the first time.

I've dealt with Turbo Transmissions for many years with different vehicles starting back in the mid 90s. I've sent friends & family there as well. Everyone has driven away happy. Raphael and his crew are very up front & honest and they warranty their work. So much so, that I drove my vehicle across the country and a few small issues come up. The places in Michigan wanted to charge me thousands of . I drove it back home to San Diego & Raphael & crew took care of the issues with charges. Almost a year later!!! You simply can't beat their prices, their customer service or their warranty! They do care about their customers. Turbo's Transmission is the place to go! Thank you TT.

My father in law has done business with Rafa for the last 30 years so when my Mustangs transmission started slipping, I knew exactly where to take it. I’ve never left my car in someone else’s hands ever. But having known Rafa for years, I could trust that he would treat my Mustang with nothing but respect. He even made sure it was secured inside over the weekend when they are closed. He kept me updated on the rebuild with pictures. I dropped it off on a Thursday and it was ready to roll on Tuesday so all in all it only took 3 working days.Thanks again guys!

Victor put the mini on the computer. Initial warning ⚠️ light on the dash was for transmition. He showed me the codes on the the electrical was transmitting ended up it's an engine problem. Checked the oil. Great shop. ? The name for the shop Turbos like the movie. ?Service: Electrical

Quoted me $2000 to rebuild my transmission, took it to a different shop and they diagnosed it correctly and charged me $500. Do not trust them.
