I received my prenatal care here because it was right next to my job and it was convenient and close by. they would schedule appointments weeks -to months ahead it was perfect because it would give me time to ask for a day off or few hours off at work ahead of time to go to my appointments . There was times where I would check In via text and few minutes before my appointment someone from FHC would call to cancel my appointment and try to reschedule a week later from my scheduled appt. Not once but multiple times. When I had a question they wouldn’t reach out to me, I tried contacting their prenatal phone number “available 24hours” never head back from them. Multiple times that I called there was no Dr. Available or no case manager available at the location to help me. I tried scheduling appt and they wanted me to go to all the way to El Cajon city or to an emergency room. When I had questions about my pregnancy symptoms they said oh we don’t have availability until 2 weeks from now . Go to emergency room . I lost my mucus plug days after and headed to ER they let me go home and states to follow up no later than 24 hours with my OB/GYN. FHC was aware of that and they said sorry can’t get you in. A week went by and I delivered early to a premie baby whom admitted at the Nicu in Rady Children’s. Once gotten out of the hospital I went to get a maternity leave paperwork “EDD” at another FHC location not this one, they told me I could drop off the paper at any FHC my choice and that I would have to pick up the paper 7-10 days at the same location once paperwork was ready. I headed to this location and gave them my EDD form for Dr to fill out with the receptionist. I asked them if anything else needed to be written down and they stated everything looked good. That they would call in 7-10 days. 15 min go by and they called me stating there was no case manager or someone else who would fill this form out for me, to pick it up and take it to another FHC location. I told the lady I spoke to that why didn’t she tell me that at the clinic instead of waiting for me to go home and head back to pick up my form. The next day I headed to the FHC IN Chula Vista to drop off another EDD form. They never called me 3 weeks went by and I headed to the clinic to see if my form was ready and they said oh yes. It’s always bad customer service, they never agree on something. Always rescheduling and scheduling appointments for anything so they can say no show and charge your insurance . To top it off they told me that they would schedule a pediatrician appt for my baby once she left the Nicu because they were in contact with a social worker from Radys . My baby left the Nicu this Sunday and I needed to get her in to see a pediatrician 24/48hours after discharge since she is a “risky patient” this location stated they could see my baby as a walk in appt . I headed there @ 11:00am filled out paperwork they asked me for Dr soap notes and proof of vaccines. I finished paperwork and they told me to come back later around 1:15pm because they would be back from their lunch time . My mom and I waited in the parking lot . We got in and checked in around 1:16pm and a nurse walked out at 2:30 to tell me they won’t see my baby and I had to schedule an appt for Wednesday. I told them then why did they say they would see her and made me loose those hours when I could have been looking for another pediatrician. I got mad and left . 15 minutes late they called stating that they would see me to go back into the hospital. That if there was a no-show I would get seen but to get to the hospital ASAP. I asked the nurse what if everyone shows up ? Will they still see her? She said regardless if they show up or not you will get seen. I got to the clinic around 2:50pm they got me in the room @ 3:10 and Dr showed up at 5pm . It’s not DRs fault he answered all my questions and did amazing. The receptionist are just not well trained . They seem to rush things and not go over them with other co-workers or everyone being on the same page. Never going back to another FHC

Great experience here transferred to a new primary Dr. Who is very good. I moved from the El cajon office. The only improvement is the parking lot is small and there are no parking spots handy in adjacent lots

Poor service, very unprofessional Doctor LANUZA, Mark was making faces when I was trying to explain to him my my symptoms. Also, he spelled my last name, wrong when through a whole lot of calls with the referral department trying to get this referral for an ultrasound send so I can get my ultrasound scheduled, Instead of verifying, if my last name was correct, he went ahead and did a new chart for me. Because of he’s mistake I will have to wait even longer for my results!

Sometimes they get you in and out in a respectable manner. And the other times they treat you as if you don't matter. And at time they make you feel that race is the main factor of how long your going to be there. Perfect example I showed up right on time and I was the first person checking in out of the 3 or 4 ppl there. And I was the last person called. And yes everyone before me were Hispanic. Coincidence you think.. maybe and other times it's the other way. But only after I complained about it. All doctors appointments are long and most ppl don't go becuz of that main reason. But overall I've had some of the best Dr's. The receptionist could be upset becuz they figured out that if they would of taken more time to become CNAs,RNs or Dr's they would be happier. Better pay and don't have to deal with front desk drama. Maybe....

Horrible service please don’t go to this clinic they let you wait hours before they see you people who work in there has horrible attitude don’t use this clinic just go any where else.

....she explained how the staff was wrong and how my daughter couldn't give a physical, to call me back and leave a voicemail stating she actually can get the physical. This problem was not resolved whatsoever. This is extremely disappointing to have patient care brushed off in this matter. Do better.

I was able to get a same day appointment. I had a great experience with Dr. Andaya. I got the referrals I wanted, he also helped me clearly understand my lab results. Staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. .

Don’t recommend this place the receptionist that looks like a butch is really rude and when you ask a question they don’t know the answer can’t even find out, they definitely need more training. Also I felt judged by a Dr. here just by the dumbfounded look she gave me. I have three kids that I have brought here but definitely switching places.

This is a nice Family heath care center, I like this Staff and Dr's, I won't go to Chula Vista ever again, this place is more organized and the Staff is way friendlier...

I usually have great things to say about FHC, but not for the location in National City. I arrived to my appointment at 8:45 was one of three people in the waiting room. Before me, a man arrived that had his appointment at 9:50, he was just in front of me in line. He got called in about 20 minutes before me; I had my appointment at 9:15. I was not called in until 9:47. Not only that, but the waiting room got filled with people and the majority got called before me. I comprehend running late; however, a man had an appointment at 9:50, why would he be called before me? Regardless of that, why would people that came after me with later appointment times be called BEFORE me?

i love this center they check my foot and they check my blood pressure and my wight they are cool and they give my a referral for my foot i like this place 10/10
