Horrible service not to mention the post office is federal this is what my tax payer money is going to. If people don't want to do their job they should stay at home I've been in customer services for 10 plus years and a manager for 4 years and this people communication skills is equivalent to a toddler throwing a fit horrible came to pick up a package they couldn't deliver supposably... Had to take the day off of work stayed at home waiting for the mail carrier saw the mail carrier go to my mail box but didn't bother dropping off my package then I checked my mail box found a slip in the mail box and notification on my tracking status supposably attempted to deliver no safe place to put package and will attempt again ridiculous not mention seeing the mail carrier at my mail box what attempt... people now a days want easy money the minimum work they do now is equivalent to a days of hard work which I find ridiculous please make this post office great again and hire people willing to work and deliver packages thank you ..the post office in downtown is much better I wish my packages can show up there but unexpectedly no so Im stuck dealing whit this one....

The majority of personnel are great,but the Trancas street location does not have a safety issue.It has been an 24/7 open door location for over 20+ years & suddenly someone of authority who has never been at this location at night as I have many times has decided without any discussion with PO box customers to change that. Yes on rare occasions a homeless person may go in there just to get out of the rain & usually hide away from the main entrance as to not scare anyone. I've never nor have I seen a police report of anything actually happening there of any worry to close it either. So I think the post master of this location should please state exactly the incident that caused this or reopen it as a 24/7 location which is the only reason I chose to get a PO box here. I will pay another 3 mo while I transfer to another place (private) to pay instead. It sucks bc I'd rather pay the PO office my money bc it's important,but so is access. And they lost my package that was delivered to them and signed for too. Which they don't seem to want to admit even with delivery proof to them. It's a shame really.And no most homeless do not stay there for many reasons and if there on those rare occasions they keep away from people. So ignore a previous review from that other person. They obviously haven't been there regularly after 1 am as I've been for those 20+ years.

Terrible service. My hold mail was not delivered as scheduled for the second time. This time the delivery person tried to argue with me that I had scheduled it to end in two weeks. I have the email proving the date I selected!

This USPS post office is much better than the one in Fairfield. The one in Fairfield does NOT honor their walk-in hour like this place does for passports. The whole process took less than 10 minutes and the staff was very friendly and kind. Very pleased with this USPS office.

Guy behind the counter was rude and threatening. Will never come back. On my way out two locals rolled their eyes and said he’s always like that and that no one in the community liked him. Best that guy watch his back in this small close knit community.

I'm sorry to say I don't have a good review, and despite Thumper's mom's advice, I felt compelled to say something.In less than 10 minutes being inside, I witnessed and experienced the workers here being openly rude to one another and to customers. Trash-talking publicly to each other about routine annoyances, bickering, and being extremely short with and unhelpful to customers. The behavior was egregious, unprovoked, and blatantly unprofessional. It was really awful in there and I would not want to go back (from the sounds of it, they'd all hear that and launch into another raucous bit).

The lady from the post office contacted me and said she needed to talk to the carrier. The carrier put a handwritten note in my mailbox saying the package had been delivered. It was not though. Incompetent employee.
