Selbach was able to see my 2017 Audi SQ5 within a week for a possible oil leak identified by another mechanic who couldn’t fix due to lack of Audi-specific tools. Selbach spent the day with it and didn’t see any sign of leak, tested it, and had it back to me within the day - no charge. I’ll be back again next time for sure!

Took my car for inspection. They were unable to identify basic issues with my car. As far as I can tell this repair shop gives you a handshake takes your keys then waits a few hours to hand back to you, and charges a fee. I took my car to another auto shop, AJ's in town and within hours they gave me an extensive report of results from their inspection. Far more professional experience.

I’ve been taking my VW Passat here for years after it was recommended to me by a friend. It’s like taking my car to a friend who is also a mechanic - they care and provide the best solution for my needs. The service is friendly and excellent. I definitely recommend Selbach.

Love this place! I've found everyone there to be knowledgeable and friendly. Honest pricing for services provided. The last time I took my Audi to the dealer for servicing they told me the motor mounts on my car were broken and would cost in the thousands of dollars to repair. Immediately after, I had two service technician friends look at the mounts and both told me they were in working order. When I moved to Napa, I wanted to find a local mechanic so as to avoid taking my car to the dealership in Concord for servicing. After the dealership debacle, I wondered if the folks at Selbach were going to try to upsell me with unneeded services. It's been three years and not once have they tried to pressure me into doing any unnecessary work on my vehicle and, after each service, it has worked flawlessly. I've owned cars for almost 50 years now and I cannot recall a time when I could say I trusted my mechanic but, I do now with Dirk and the wonderful folks at Selbach European Service.

Super kind and professional staff! I took my Audi Q5 there they were quick and I’ve got a really good price. If you are in Napa and you have a german car don’t go anywhere else, highly recommended!

I've had older BMW'S, I like the older features. Things need fixing from time to time. I take it to Dirk SELBACH, the BEST, most HONEST, most KNOWLEDGEABLE, most KIND and CARING car mechanic I've ever known. He's like a wizard, can just hear or sense the problem when he takes it on atest drive. He always checks the fluids and will top off if needed. Cant tell you how many times I've dropped by to get oil, power steering, or radiator fluids checked and they never charge me. They go ABOVE AND BEYOND just like old fashioned service used to be, making sure my car is OK to drive. They tell me the priority what needs to be fixed and never pressure me at all about other things that I'll eventually get to, because I have a limited budget. They have worked with me many times over the years with payments, when life has its low points. I've been going to Selbach for @ 20years.. like I said, they go above and beyond being an honest and trustworthy, integrous mechanic, they treat you like family. Dirk and June make it easy to understand about repairs needed. I absolutely have loved all my old BMW'S and been able to keep driving them only because Dirk and June have made this possible.. Always doing little things to help me along when I've been down and out. Who does that anymore ? They truely care about me and all their clients. It's just who they are... they recently spent their evening, texting me with steps how to get my other car, 1999 Mercedes started, so i could move it to get my 2002 BMW out of the driveway. It was a stressful situation for me and they helped me thru it while they were out to dinner with their parents!!! Coaching me how to get it started, spending time texting me for several hours off and on with instructions. Who does that? ..( and yes we got it started, some sequencing thing that happens with that model Mercedes after charging a dead battery). Dirk knew it by heart,genius! And they were having dinner out with parents! Who does that? I'm so blessed to have them in my life. If you want service from folks who truely care and do excellent service, Selbach is the place to go

I've had older BMWs I tend to gravitate towards. I like the older features. Things need fixing from time to time. I take it to Dirk the BEST, most HONEST, most KNOWLEDGEABLE, most KIND and CARING car mechanic I've ever known. I really wanted to give Selbach more stars but can't. They were nice enough to see me last minute due to my engine light coming on and car making noises. Dirk quickly diagnosed the issue and I was given a quote for the parts/labor at $1500. I brought my car in a week later. I was told it would take a day or two to complete. Assuming it would take 2 days, I was not worried when I did not get any updates on the 1st day. By the afternoon on the 2nd day, I still hadn't heard anything and decided to call. I was told that my car would not be ready and will need another day due to the "delicacy" of the fix, a small part had to be ordered, and how busy they were/other cars that needed to be fixed as well. I was told my quote would not be much different as the part that had to be ordered was cheap. By day 3, I had a major health appt in the afternoon that I had to make and assumed by car would be ready since the office had told me the day before to make sure I pick up my car no later than 3 since they close. I called to check in the morning and was told that my car would not be ready that day either. Due to the emergency nature of my appt, I had to spend the entire afternoon locating a rental car. After all of this, when I actually got to pick up my car the cost was $2300! I was SHOCKED. Charging an additional $800 when no one informed me that the cost would be more- only that the new part ordered was cheap and wouldn't change the quote much. When I asked why it was so much more, I was told that it was time for labor. This increase in cost would have been great to be notified about earlier and/or when the initial quote was given to be a range instead of telling me "around $1500." I would have taken my car for POSRCHE service as they quoted me less than the $2300 and I could have had a loaner car.Service: Engine repair

So glad I was able to find this place to replace my battery! June was SO helpful, friendly, and professional. They took me in with no appointment and got my car all set to go within the same day. Dealing with car trouble is never fun but they made it a pleasant experience and were both so knowledgeable. My wife was alone down there from Oregon and the car went South on us. They took her in and helped her. They are very trustworthy. They are very knowledgeable. You cannot go wrong.

Mercedes dealership was going to charge me $5500 for fixes that were not significant and weren't necessary to run my car safely. Selbach has great service. Quick, super friendly and a sweet dog gracing their shop was an added bonus. Super happy I found a new place to take my car.
