I went in and asked for a pixie, stylist decided that a pixie wasn't feminine enough and cut my hair by my shoulders. I repeated I wanted a pixie cut and she asked her manager/owner what she should do... Owner said to give me what I wanted, I provided a picture it was a mushroom cut pixie with long bangs and a medium short back. She never used clippers just hacked at it with scissors, completely cut my bangs and left one side of my hair longer than the rest. I started crying and she went away and I still had to pay for that horrible job on my long hair. I also reached out to the owner on Instagram about what happened and she replied back about a month later with no apology or sense of empathy.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Kelly Pagenderm, the most amazing colorist and hair dresser I have ever had the pleasure to experience. Not only does my custom color look better than it has ever looked the cut is perfect! I cant stop flipping my hair, even after I slept on it, it was perfect! I have received so many compliments saying how young I look and how well she made the color match my skin tone. The cut is sassy, modern and bouncy, perfectly cut to match the shape of my face. I suggest going to Kelly and just letting her do what she thinks would work for you! I promise you will not be disappointed. She is not only crazy talented but she is an amazing human and conducts herself with the utmost integrity, character and work ethic!

Go and see Kelly at Play! She did an amazing updo for me on short notice and not only did my super fine, thin hair stay put all night, it actually looked beautiful the next day too when I took it down!

Kelly!! She's the Color Queen... I've gone light, rose gold, and today, dark with light highlights. Looks great!Only colorist I know of that also does Vivids... Beautiful work.

What an AWESOME find! I was fortunate to schedule a very last minute appointment this Saturday with Geri, the salon owner. Getting ready to head out of town for the week & realizing my grays were really bad, I called several salons who couldn't take me same day. I wasn't surprised, it was Sat at 11am, I figured that would happen. But Luck was on my side when I called Play Hair Studio, which had great reviews and was a Salon I had seen dozens of times in the Bel Aire plaza, by the old Orchard & next to World Market. Geri was super nice on the phone and she must have sensed my desperation bc while she didn't have any openings, she said she'd make it work for me and to come by in the afternoon! The place is really cute & has a great 'homey' feel, like the 'Cheers' of hair salons! Geri was super nice and made me feel at ease. She asked me what I wanted and gave me some ideas on 'punching' up my color and giving me a bit of 'pizzazz'! Trusting her immediately, I said 'Sure!' When it came time for the haircut, Geri really seemed to 'get' my hair and when I told her I wanted long bangs and 'some sexy movement', she knew exactly what to do. She really knows hair & more than that, in even the short time together, I feel like she knew me! For women, there's few things that can transform us immediately to make us feel 'whole' again. A good hairstyle & color can certainly do that. If even for just a little while, being able to look in the mirror and see yourself differently, better, is a gift that only a very talented stylist can deliver & Geri is certainly that! My hair looked amazing, which brought a huge smile to my face, which certainly brings a whole new outlook to things! I'm so glad that Geri made the time for me. She did more than just cut & color my hair! She gave me some of my confidence back! Thank you Geri! So obviously, yes! I absolutely recommend this place & I'm glad that I've finally found 'my salon'!

Well worth the trip from Petaluma. Kaitlin was referred to us and we're happy we got the referral. It's a beautiful shop with plenty of parking. My daughter had used boxed color to dye her hair black and we were really worried that any color correcting would damage her hair more. Kaitlin took the time to explain the process and was very friendly and knowledgeable. What a great experience.

Jenn is amazing! After almost two years of not getting my hair cut (bad experience with my last hair stylist) I was very nervous to go back into a salon. All my fear went away when I had Jenn cut my hair. She did an awesome job and brought my hair back to life! So glad I was recommended to her!

Great salon. My stylist, Tori, is fantastic; she takes time to listen to what I need from my hairstyle and then does her magic on it. My 8yo son sees Tasha who does a great job with his hair as well.
