I rented a car at Hertz. HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE. I was quoted a daily rate of $26.95, for a compact car (I have Hertz document support). Instead, Hertz charged my credit card a daily rate of $30.55. A CON JOB & DISHONEST PRACTICE. Then, Hertz gave me my rental car/remote key. They NEGLECTED to tell me the car was an EV (electronic vehicle). I NEVER DROVE an EV! I had NO CLUE how to start this car. It took 3 Hertz employees to start this EV. Like me, the first 2 employees DIDN'T know how to start this EV, either. 3rd employee FINALLY succeeded. But not many people know how to operate an EV. What if I planned to drive to Las Vegas? I definitely wouldn't want an EV to get me there. I would get stuck in the desert looking for a charging station. Then, I would have NO IDEA how an EV charging station works. The EV DASHBOARD was new/confusing. Hertz's practice of renting EVs to UNKNOWING drivers endangers lives on the road & can also result in major inconveniences to its customers' travels. Hertz MUST inform renters reserving cars that they are being reserved/getting an EV. Also, good luck contacting Hertz Napa office. They RARELY EVER answer their phone. Note, Hertz now has your credit card info on file. Hertz WILL charge you WHATEVER amount they DESIRE from you. Hertz is TOTALLY DISHONEST, DECEPTIVE, & HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE. I will NEVER rent at Hertz again.

Tried to rent a car for Uber/Lyft earlier this week. Before I came down in person I was told over the phone that I needed a $200 deposit & $260 to rent the car itself. When I came down with my mom I was then told I needed $500 deposit & $289 for the car... misinformation! Left with the car to get an inspection from jiffy lube for Uber/Lyft they couldn't approve me with an out of state license plates so I immediately took the car back & ask for a different car with California license plates with roadside assistance & insurance I was then denied & told it was because of the way i paid. Then asked for a refund was told the whole process would be voided. Long story now my mom's bank is involved because they refuse to properly refund the money back. Lawsuit! I wouldn't recommend this Hertz to anyone totally unprofessional!

My experience was great! I was nervous about having a reservation after reading most of the reviews so I arrived planning for the worst. But all went very well! My car was ready and I was on my way quickly. The gentleman that assisted me was personable and efficient! The car was clean and in good working order. Thanks Hertz!

I have had to rent a car multiple times and/or return one to the Napa location. Over the last few years Mark and Joe have always been kind, helpful, efficient with our time, understanding, and personable. I have nothing but great things to say about this location.

Wow, i cant say enuf about how well i was serviced by Mark at this Hertz location. Yesterday i returned a large rental car, needed for a large amount of luggage, to Avis and requested a smaller one for sight seeing. "We aint got any cars and dont know when we'll get any. Avis guy said that he had to turn away three renters yesterday that had reservations because he has no cars. I called local Hertz and Mark said nothing today but some cars tomorrow morning. Next morning he called me and sent a driver to my hotel who brought me to their location and put me in a shiney Malibu. Now, who really tries harder?

This location won’t ever answer the phone. Someone answered once, put me on hold, and then never came back. I called 6 times so going to use another rental car company instead.

This was singularly the worst attempt at vehicle rental I've had. Cars aren't available when promised. Management is so bad, I cannot imagine how corporate allows them to exist. L Only one customer service person seems to care about his job, or helping people in any way. And management just runs him around. I was here being treated like a 5 year old for 2 very patient hours, and never actually got the car I booked. I walked the 1/2 to enterprise and drove away from a very pleasant experience in under 10 minutes. You have options for car rentals in Napa. Don't waste your time at Hertz.

Rented a car for three days, that they ended up giving away. Called the day prior to reverify pickup credit card info. Upon arrival they had three cars left in the Gold lot. What's the point of making a reservation for a specific car if they won't update it? Was forced to take care available and then had to wait for them to change shifts, because they were not allowed to be on clock after hour. I ended up having to wait so they could shift change. Tried to call Hertz to discuss, won't answer phone. Website is terrible. Returned car and tried to talk to service desk. Said there was nothing they could do because I prepaid my reservation. This branch has it's head in the sand and doesn't care. Try to save money by going elsewhere, because they do not care about serving customers at all.

Came in this A.M. to pick up a rental. (reservation made on Expedia). When I arrived I was told there were no cars. That was just the beginning. Then I was made to feel like it was my fault that I came in when there were no cars available, because the phone number on the reservation was incorrect. When I asked the kid behind the desk to update my information in the computer all he did was write my phone number down in a piece of paper. I was never offered an apology. I was never given an ETA for my rental car arriving. The kid "Chas"(he probably gave me someone else's card) behind the counter just told me to call Expedia. It's been almost two hours and still no word from Hertz. If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a gross and dirty joke. Now I have to waste more time trying to get my money back from these guys.

We booked the car online a day in advance and I was so disappointed that when I took my family to pick up the car, they told me "they don't have a car for us to drive away". What's going on, what about my family and suitcases. I was so disappointed and speechless. I believe you will confirm that you are going to pick up the car, you don't want to have the same experience as me.

Honestly if I could give them zero stars.. I would. We booked a car with them during the week and they decided it was a good idea to cancel our reservation an HOUR before we had to pick up the car. Michael who was at the front desk told us he could have a car for us by the afternoon and then when we showed up he said he wouldn't have anything for the day? His manager then comes out and makes a snarky comment saying he didn't care about anyone who was canceled on. This place is super unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Terrible! Do not rent from this location. The women who runs this place provides terrible customer service. You cannot count on having a car, even if you have made reservations well in advance. And when you show up, asking for your car she isn't the least bit apologetic or helpful when she informs you she has no car for you. In fact she is rude. This has happened to us on more than one occasion. We are taking our business somewhere else.

Easy. That sums it up in one word.Also,....• Great fleet.• Cars in great condition.• Staff is friendly and helpfull.This is my choice for future rentals.
