We visited Hanlees Napa Subaru Friday night and were greeted with a smile and great attitude. Car shopping is not my first choice of family time on a Friday night. Cherry was genuinely determined to help us to find a car for our son. The team (Cherry, AJ, and the finance officer) were exceptional. They understood our needs, and parameters . At the end of the transaction, we got great car at a great value. The team was fair and no non-sense. Thank you Team Hanlees Napa Subaru for an exceptional buying experience. When I purchased my 2nd car from Hanlees, the finance person sold us a maintenance contract that was friom an outside provider. We were told it would cover all maintenance and services for 7 years or 100,000 miles. When I took my car in for the last service, I was told I had 1 more left. I explained to the service manager, who had been there 3 days, about my service contract. He said no such thing existed. I was then put in touch with the sales manager, also there just 3 days, who said no such thing existed. After digging up the paperwork, it turned out to be an extended warranty that I would have never purchased. It's my fault for not really paying attention to what I was signing. It was a bait and switch. A commission for the Finance guy, and I am screwed. The sales managers response was to take us to court. Of course, all those employees are gone. Buyer Beware.

10/10 love this place, and would recommend to anyone looking to buy a Subaru. The service team is extremely personable (they recognize me and I've only been in twice for service; and always call back day of if you leave a message)! I ordered a 2024 Subaru Outback from Cherry (I also highly recommend her; she was amazing to work with) and I absolutely LOVE my car.

They did not do the work correctly. The oil plug was not tightened appropriately and while I was driving on the freeway in Los Angeles it fell out on the highway. Saturday, when it happened, I called Hanlees Subaru for help finding a repair place and the salesman and woman I spoke to refused to help me. I told them we were stranded in LA, hundreds of miles away from our home and the dealership, with a young puppy and needed help right away to get home. The first salesman just passed me off to a saleswoman- neither of whom identified themselves. They refused to contact a manager or the owner- and told me to come in on Monday for help. The saleswoman said she couldn't help me at all when she asked who the car was purchased by in their system and I gave her my partner's name (male) as it was clearly not me (female) so I told her if she needed to speak with the owner she could because he was sitting with me in the car. She then said that she could talk to me but she still couldn't help me. I reiterated we were stranded hundreds of miles away from their office and my home and the saleswoman I spoke to said "well all I can do is sell you a Subaru" and when I asked her if she was joking she insisted she wasn't and that I should call back on Monday for help. I asked her if she could tell me if any Subaru dealers near me might be open because I had already called two and been told they were not on the weekend. She told me she didn't know and I should try calling around or wait until Monday. We just bought our Subaru a year and a half ago. That's it. Yet this dealership managed to screw up basic maintenance and instead of apologizing and offering to help the staff mistreated us. In the end, I had to have my car towed, and buy parts myself, and because the only place I found that would help us was closing within an hour of our arrival we had to get a hotel overnight for the repair to be made the next morning. A Firestone Oil Change place was willing to help us when Subaru was not and Firestone was able to get us back on the road before Subaru was even willing to look at our car. So much for dependable service. We had to pay hundreds of dollars for Hanlees Subaru's mistake and refusal to repair. We had to pay for the parts, the work, a hotel, and extra food to stay in another city since we were stranded due to Hanley Subaru's carelessness. We have been telling every person who helped us along the way about this terrible treatment and service and will continue to do so.

I can only speak to the initial conversation and bargaining process. I Ventured out of my immediate area to look for better deals on a 2023 Subaru Forester Wilderness. Ron Cooper reached out to me and immediately gave me an OTD without all of the games and tricks a "normal" dealer would try on you. Not only that, but it was a deal much lower than anyone I had reached out to. I didn't end up going with them as I was able to find a similar deal much closer to home (I live in Southern California), but if I weren't able to find a deal, you best bet I would fly up to Napa and drive that baby down myself.

Bought our car here, but I wish we hadn't. Sales guy who showed us the car and its features was nice, but the finance guy who actually sold us the car was just horrible. (Literally, the shit he put us through is THE reason why many people now prefer to buy a car online, the kind of person who gives car salesmen the reputation they have). After looking at the car, we waited for an hour to do the actual contract and once we were in the office, the finance guy put on this insulting show (lots of sighs of exasperation, lots of telling us that these are the extras he literally sold his own son, so why were would we refuse? Laying it on extremely thick, to the point of clear manipulative tactics). Was this because we were two women? I'll never know. Meanwhile, we were about to make a 29k decision and deserved a few minutes to talk in private about the service package we wanted or didn't want. Ultimately, I walked out of the dealership feeling extremely angry, which was the opposite of how I wanted to feel buying my first new car with my partner. Also, partly because of the horrible finance/final paperwork/sales guy, we declined all the extras. His information felt so dishonest that it was impossible to even accept any of the options. At the end, the "nice" initial salesman, who showed us the car, acted surprised when we said the finance guy had been really rough. His surprise felt insincere. The people who work at this dealership have to know that they're not treating customers well. Bottom line for buyers, especially women: go elsewhere. Bottom line for this dealership: maybe you should realign your values with basic human decency. You even might make more money that way. The end.

The lease on my car was over & time to get a new one. Contacted Hanlees and was put in contact with Ron Cooper. He made the process so easy. Picked the car I wanted, they were able to order it. When it arrived, pick up was smooth & effortless. Would highly recommend Hanlees & Ron Cooper. This is how car buying should be.

My car was making a very LOUD grinding noice in my back drivers side wheel...Thank God I knew not to drive on it!! Janice had the mechanic take a look!! It was the wheel bearing & it was really bad!! So bad that my tire could have fell off!! Janice wrote everything up quickly so as the mechanic could start on it right away(& they had the part there too!!) Janice kept me informed the whole time!!! I was out in no time & on the road again!!! Hanless Napa Subaru thank you for hiring GREAT people!!!

Ordered my 2019 3.6 Outback cabin and air filter.Receivdd it well packed and in the 3-5 day business windows I expected. Genuine Subi parts are great (except for the blue cheap oil filters) they are going to start using the black Toyo Japanese ones in October. I run Mobil 1 and use their oil filters as they are designed for synthetics but just found 3 of the old Black subi filters as my 2019 Legacy 3.6 used many of the same parts. I would use Hanlees to order parts again.

The easiest car purchase ever made. My son had been doing research and was in contact with this dealership upon finding a car he wanted to test drive. Dominique set up the appointment and was responsive and attentive to my son. Since we were coming out so late from the East Bay, Dominique confirmed that he was still going in for the test drive and made certain we were in good hands. We were introduced to Cherry when we arrived and she graciously assisted my son and answered all of his questions. The original car he came to test drive was not what he was looking for, however, Cherry found him what he was looking for on the lot. She listened to his needs and delivered. The process felt seamless as we were in and out with my son's dream car in no time. Through it all there was no pressure. Cherry and the gentleman who processed my son's loan app were kind, attentive, thorough, and most importantly trustworthy. If you're looking to buy a Subaru, Hanlees Subaru in Napa is the place to go! Thank you Cherry for making my son's first car purchase an easy and memorable experience!!

I had the absolute best car purchase experience of my life with this dealership. Dominique in sales and Carlos in finance at Hanlees Subaru in Napa were professional, not pushy at all, extremely helpful in answering questions, communicative, and made my overall buying experience a great one. Dominique went so far as to put the car on hold for me for a couple days, as I was coming from a couple hours away which allowed me to see it, test, drive it, and take my time making a decision on options and financing. Would definitely recommend sending anyone to this dealership the next time they're looking to buy a new or used car .

My advise to everyone - DO NOT EVER EVER BUY CARS at this SCAM DISHONEST DEALERSHIP!!! This review is a year old, but I finally got to it. Ron Cooper at Hanlees Napa Subaru sold me a 2016 Nissan Altima back in 2022. After a day or two of driving back to our bay area home, we noticed a strong bad odor inside the car. On some days when its hot because the car has been in the sun the odor is too strong to even step into the car. Despite multiple attempts to deodorize the upholstery and get rid of this horrible smell at very expensive professional auto cleaning shops, nobody is able to fix it. My guess is that this car had some very bad chemicals stored or dropped inside it by a previous owner and the smell is buried in the exhausts and too deep to get rid of. Shameless Hanlees Subaru knew this and never disclosed this to me. I didnt detect this issue as a permanent problem, until after a day by which time I had already signed the no return policy sales paperwork. They deliberately masked the odor by probably over-spraying air fresheners etc which temporarily hides it for only a couple of hours. My advise to everyone - DO NOT EVER EVER BUY CARS at this SCAM DISHONEST DEALERSHIP!!! Ron Cooper who is a smooth talking glib salesfake, is selling permanently damaged and irreparable cars to the public!!

Just got my daughter a Subaru from this great dealership. This has been the 2nd car I have bought from Hanlees and for a good reason. Every aspect of working with this business was stellar ,whether on the phone talking and texting or in person . Honest people doing good work. Love it!

Napa Valley Support Services needed a new vehicle and selected a Subaru Outback as the vehicle of choice. As a non-profit organization, we needed the best purchase price. We looked at both new and used vehicles and various area dealerships, but Hanlees Subaru offered the best value!Our sales person, Dominique was very responsive, willing to work within our budget and provided the best price. She is very personable with a no pressure sales approach!Our next vehicle need will be another purchase from Hanlees Subaru for sure!
