1705 1st St, Napa“Five stars for this location, four stars for RCU as a whole. This Napa branch generally delivers a positive experience - in case you do have to come to a physical location, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the line moves quickly. The main reason I'm not giving five stars is because RCU's new online banking aka "digital banking" is absolutely horrible. Sure, it looks nice, but from a user experience perspective, the old one was better. The old system was far more compact and laid out more efficiently, so you could see more information at once. Also, I have an issue with a vendor repeatedly charging my account that I did not authorize. They charge me $1 every month. Each month, I have to go through and file a claim. Apparently RCU has no way to block the vendor. Yes, it's only $1 a month, but it's a hassle to have to deal with over and over again. There should be a way to block that company from fraudulently charging me for something I cancelled, permanently. Also, if you're picky, RCU ATMs are sloooooow. If you go to an RCU branch and use an ATM there, it takes forever to load or process any transaction. Thankfully, RCU does reimburse ATM fees, so you can really just go across the street to a different bank, use their ATM, and be done in half the time... this has just frustrated me for years. Overall, RCU is a great choice compared to the big banks, and they have competitive rates on car loans, etc. I do like working with them. That said, there is room for improvement, so I think four stars is fair enough.”

3300 Jefferson St, Napa“Looks like lots of bad reviews because of one bad employee. I have not interacted with her, so I can't speak to that however she no longer works there. I've been banking with them for 10+ years and am happy to keep my business there. All staff I've worked with are friendly, greet me by name and have been very helpful.”
“New Location to me. Friendly Staff who are ready to help. Had a great experience last week purchasing a vehicle that was owned by RCU. They helped with Paperwork and made transaction quick and simple for myself and prior owner.”
“Everyone greeted me as soon as I walked through the doors! I feel welcomed every single time I go here! They are always very thorough with the questions that I ask them!”

901 Main St, Napa“I have consistently had good experiences with this bank over the years. My mother has been banking with them for over 30 years and I recently helped her with something (no fault on Wells Fargo's part) that only went as smoothly as it did because the manager Scott was willing to repeatedly go above and beyond what would have been an acceptable level of service. I would also like to give a nod to the security guard who is always very nice. This review is long overdue. I hope it makes it in and stays in. Wells Fargo in downtown Napa really showed up for us, and we sincerely appreciate it!”

1700 1st St, Napa“I was so thankful for the ladies at this location today. I showed up at my wits end, fraud had locked me out of my account and my money, and to top it off another branch out of town didn't tell me to start a new account and transfer my funds I needed an appointment. Jennita was a sweetheart and spoke to her very busy coworker and she agreed without hesitation to thankfully help me despite her full load of appointments for today (I hadn't had access to funds for a week and resolving was taking way longer than I was told so I need access to my money or I wouldn't have money to even put gas in my car) well Lourdes or Lulu as she told me was a saint and fit me in between appointments and quite literally saved my day and entire week making it so I could get access to my funds FINALLY. I am so greatful that someone saw I was in such a bind and had the compassion and empathy to help me out when I really needed it. These girls went above and beyond to save me and I am greatful beyond what words can convey. Thanks again ladies. You rock!”
“First my history with Golden1. I got a car loan in the summer of 2020. After the dealer I was working with hit up different lenders and I ended up at G1 with a car loan. Standard 5 year kind of deal. I got to work and paid it off in 20 months instead of 60. No issues there, I was making huge monthly payments and had no contact with them because there were no problems. Then that was it. A few months later I started getting letters to put some money in the savings account to keep it open. I ignored it for months and then finally decided to add some money in there to keep that relationship alive. After I deposited a small amount in savings I got an ATM card, not a visa/mastercard debit, a literal ATM card. I have never used it. I also called in once in the beginning because I could not create an online account to use the app. That was my one phone encounter, all good no issues there. The branch person in Napa CA was nice and helpful. I went in again because my phone number to activate the card was no good. I went in a second time and the number on file back from the car loan in 2020 (now late 22) was not right, I have no idea where it came from. Again, the branch employee was helpful. Oh and I forgot to mention both of these visits were on Saturday, they have short hours like 10am to 2pm I think, that's another reason I went with them. I still was at Citibank for my checking by the way. Ok next I decided in Jan of 2023 to check out their credit card offers. Their member cash rewards plus looks really good. 4% back on gas, 3 for groceries and restaurants and food delivery, 1% everything else and no annual fee. They clearly state you need good to excellent credit for this card, and might offer you the next card down if you don't qualify for this one. My FICO in Jan of 2023 was around 788. Glad I stuck with G1, I was approved online in under a minute with a 14.5k credit limit. Nice. After that I opened a checking account and deposit my paychecks there. So far no issues. So here's my only reason for 4 stars not five. It's the app. There are two, one that just says G1 and one called card controls. You don't need both just the basic one with get you to everything. So the app is just buggy, slow and crashes a lot. Sometimes you open it, and it opens for 2-3 seconds and it's gone and you have to repeat. Sometimes it's fine. Other times it just locks up when switching between debit card and credit card. You have a lot of controls for your credit and debit cards. You can choose what areas (by zip code) your cards can be used and set dollar limits as well. You also have controls for what type of business your cards will work at. Look around you have a lot of controls. I have chase/amazon, discover, AMEX and Capital One and they don't have these options. Transfers from checking to savings or the other way around are instant and easy. Paying the G1 cards is fast an easy as well. So I started using my new G1 card around end of Jan 2023, I don't have any cash back yet. I don't like that you can't see it as you go along or by transaction. I think I read a review that states it gets deposited once a month to your savings. I don't like that, I wanted it to be connected to my card like my other credit cards so I can see the amount separately. But I haven't been using it long enough to see cash back numbers. Almost forgot my APR is just over 16% it's lower than all my other cards. I pay off all my balances so I never pay interest, but if I had a really big purchase or emergency the G1 is the go to.”

I've noticed the difference before covid and after, and these ladies are still patient as ever and there as much as possible! I hope they get the credit they deserve, my apologies if there is a male working at this establishment, the ladies are always so helpful every single one of them!”
“Surprised to see all the bad reviews. I come here several times a week for deposits for work and have never had any issues. Very occasionally the line can be a bit long but my personal bank account is at RCU and the wait time and level of staffing seems comparable. Overall I am usually in and out in 10 minutes. Everyone that works here is friendly and competent. No complaints!”
