Sweet small bed and breakfast in foot distance from Napa downtown. In the late afternoon there is free wine and a snack plate. All through the day there are free tea, coffee and soft drinks.
The only negative aspect would be the quite loud street right in front of the bedroom.

Beware their cancellation policy, which is pretty unforgiving. We booked one night here and wanted to cancel because it was a cold rainy day and winery tours wouldn't be enjoyable at all. They were pretty happy to charge us the same cost as if we stayed.
It seems like it would have been fair enough to charge us half or something, but to just take all our money for nothing really sucks. They still had three open rooms, so it wasn't like we were leaving the last empty at a full hotel.
I'll be more careful next time with policies like this.

Good reception, they explained the previous agreements, recommended what to do in the center and other tips on what to visit as well as considering the transfer times by application or own vehicle.
Extremely clean, tidy and with details everywhere to make you feel better than in your own home, (at least better than mine).?
Very central, safe place, easy to get to and with parking in front of the house.
The last of the two breakfasts booked was 15 minutes late, making me have less time to enjoy it and go to the airport, an extremely important detail when the time and availability had been agreed upon.
There are few tables, so you can have breakfast in your bedroom.
The images are from room 12, yellow house.
Walkability: Two blocks from the center.

5 stars, because of the quality of the furnishings in the room and public areas, the homemade cookies, the daily happy hour, the surprisingly good quality coffee, and of course the location right on 1st Street, 10 mins from the river
Rooms: Not huge but tastefully decorated and very updated bathroom
Walkability: 10 mins to riverfront
Food & drinks: Free breakfast, free coffee and cookies all day and free happy hour!

Consumer BEWARE!
Several months ago my husband and I booked a room to celebrate our neice's 40th birthday. Unfortunately, due to an unforseen emergency, we called 8 days in advance to cancel our reservation Nicole was extremely rude, having no sympathy to our situation only stating she needed our confirmation number in the email sent. We tried to explain that we never received the email, she insisted that she had the correct address and resent it. Again it was not received and therefore she looked up our reservation and stated that the cancelation policy stated in the email requires a 60 day notice or a cancelation fee of 400.00 would be charged. Nicole did not have the correct email address, however she does have the correct banking account number and charged our card 400.00. I am saddened that Blackbird Inn only cares about my money and not the customer service and experience that I have received.

My wife and I stayed here three days and absolutely loved this place. They served you breakfast every morning. Had a beautiful bottle of wine and cheese at 5 PM, a refrigerator with drinks when needed, and all the amenities you need. The room was clean, temperature controlled and spacious. The employees are super friendly and answer any of your questions. It’s located close to everything down Main Street just a few minutes walk away. We highly recommend this place to anybody and will definitely come back with more friends and family in the Spring.

This is an architectural dream of the craftsman style. All wood crafted by the owner. Highly recommended.

Fantastic bed and breakfast in downtown Napa! Blackbird Inn is a super cozy, craftsman style house, with all the added features of a lovely B&B. They have a wine and cheese happy hour from 5-6pm, breakfast at either 8:30am or 9:15am, baked cookies, and a drink station (coffee, tea, soda). We were greeted upon arrival and given the key to room 1. Room 1 had a wonderfully warm fireplace and an outdoor patio with its own entrance. The decor was charming and there was nice craftsmanship throughout the building. The windows had lovely stained glass designs added to it. There was a lovely charcuterie board for happy hour with one red (cab) and one white (Chardonnay) wine. It was a lovely treat. The inn has books to read, photos to look at, and a chess set to play. The inn also has wifi and cable TV with hbo and showtime. For breakfast, we had salmon frittata, fruit, and yogurt. The only downside to this experience was that I found a small, black, rubbery circle in my salmon frittata that wasn't edible. No one knows how it got in there, but they apologized about it. Other than that, the experience at Blackbird Inn was really nice. I would definitely like to stay here again.

If you make an advanced reservation make sure you check the current rates 1 week prior to your booked dates. The place was almost $300 cheaper for 2 nights than the amount we were billed and the place was less than half full! We have been customers for over 10 years and never going back!
Walkability: Easy walk to downtown.

If you are looking for a bed and breakfast to stay at while in Napa - look no further. The Blackbird Inn should be your go to place. The blackbird Inn and its adjoining property is a warm, charming, and welcoming place. They serve a different homemade breakfast each morning, homemade cookies in the afternoon, and wine, cheese, and more Happy Hour between 5-6 pm. The friendly staff go beyond to make your stay comfortable. The location is just walking distance to downtown Napa where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and wine tasting places to explore. A big shoutout to the amazing staff, Nicole and Martha. Scott, one of the owners we met is a hands-on owner who helps with the upkeep, maintenance, and beauty of the Inn. Also, they sometimes have specials, which we were able to access one during our midweek stay. It is best to book directly with the Blackbird Inn to get the best prices and specials. Looking forward to our next visit. Michele and john
Rooms: The rooms are very charming and clean. Some rooms have fireplaces, and balconies.
Safety: We felt very safe walking around and the area very nicely kept.
Walkability: Plenty of places to walk to.

Another weekend and another great stay. A nice walk into town and then a relaxing glass of wine before heading out for dinner. They always make a great restaurant recommendation. Don't sleep in and miss the breakfast that is provided

We came here for a birthday celebration and really enjoyed our time. It was such a great location within walking distance to downtown with lots of restaurants, bars, tasting rooms, and shops. Perfect location. They even left us a welcome wine gift for our arrival. See photo. Breakfast was great. Filling and tasty. Lots of coffee although it wasn't always refilled throughout the day which would've been nice. They have a happy hour with wine and some appetizer/charcuterie bites. This was really nice because at that time of the day it was nice to take a breather and sit on the porch with a glass of wine. They also had little fridges with non alcoholic drinks in each building. It has sodas and sparkling water which was a nice treat. Our room was great. It was spacious with a fireplace and a huge bathroom. There was a jacuzzi tub and shower. The bed was comfy and we heard no noise at night even though we were on the first floor by the entrance. Everything was secure with keys to enter the buildings and the rooms. Check in and check out were easy. There was plenty of parking on site too. My only constructive feedback was that the staff situation felt more like a hotel. There wasn't a lot of engagement like I've had at other B&Bs where the owners/staff are around during breakfast or check in to give hints on places to go or ideas for activities. Check out was just a sign to "leave keys here" and check in was also very straightforward with little engagement. I don't really need this but it was certainly different than other B&B experiences. The lack of availability did frustrate me a bit when I had a question during breakfast and couldn't find someone for over 15 min. I even called the number at the desk and an answering service picked up. I prefer to keep to myself with someone available if an issue arises so this didn't affect my experience much. But something to think about if you prefer more engagement or interaction.

Don't waste your money or vacation time here! On the positive the bedroom and bath were clean and comfortable that is all that was good about this place. We stayed two nights and wish we had chosen another place. There is a major street right next to the home and the noise day and night was ridiculous! The breakfast was horrid! They Saran wrapped over a previously frozen small waffle and grapes and strawberries that should have been thrown out a few days before. They served it on a cafeteria style tray that I am not sure was clean. There was NO one serving the food or no one to ask questions if we had any. The "wine and cheese" was costco wine and literally a glob of hummus and a few crackers slapped on a plate. Again no staff at all! How can you call it a B&B if there is no staff?? A motel has more interaction with staff then this place!Really a sad place.
