Jen and the Summerhill team are really quality people. They know their subject matter, they are helpful. They are quick. They do what they say. It's honestly been the best tax experience I've had in years. If you are needing someone to do this work for you - there is no one else in this town (maybe in the surrounding towns) to do that work for you. 10/10 would use again.

Jennifer is super knowledgeable and helpful. I always get anxious with my taxes and have gone to same accountant for years. But he's in SD and frankly felt like I could find someone closer to home. I very strongly dislike leaving 1-star reviews, but alas, here I am. I've used Summerhill tax services for the past two years and just received my second notice from the IRS in the two years that I've used them that my taxes were filed incorrectly. The first year was somewhat of an unexpected plus in that we originally overpaid and were getting money back, this year it was underpaid and a penalty assessed. In full honesty, the issue this year was a missing document that was not uploaded related to the new advanced child tax credit that we apparently only had one of two that should have been received for our situation. I use a CPA to file taxes for two reasons: 1.) To help me maximize my write-offs. 2.) To catch any potential errors in submission. Summerhill let me down on the latter. I tried calling to better understand next steps and why this might happen, and was given a response that "we only put in the return what was uploaded online and it didn't throw an error because there was something there. This is the challenge with online and is better in person." Maybe my expectations were too high for using a CPA, but I think this mightve been an omission that TurboTax would've caught, or at least helped me understand.

Michael is great! It was my first year having a business and it is also an LLC. Michael helped explain the differences between the different types of corporations. He also broke down what I can write off and how to keep myself safe for future years. Michael was super helpful and provided a blue collar approach to a white collar circumstance. Every approach or method Michael advised me to use was explained in terms that I understood. Once people understand how complex the process is, they will realize how a professional is the only option for them. I can't thank Michael enough for the feedback, guidance, and expertise. My family and I will definitely be going back to Michael and SummerHill Tax Services for generations to come.

I've been going to Summerhill for the past several years, and I don't intend to go anywhere else anytime soon. I see Jennifer every year, and she's not only fast and thorough, but she's approachable and easy to talk to. She asks the right questions to ensure she's preparing the taxes correctly, and she critically assesses throughout to ensure all income, deductions, etc. are accounted for. Give Summerhill a try. You won't be disappointed.

I would not have even given this tax service a one star. Jennifer has a lot of complaints if you look on the reviews, she was horrible my first time doing taxes with her and she did not even attempt to try and ask questions that would Have helped me get my max refund. I used another company for the last 10 years and they were the best I have ever had always trying to get your max return asking questions to make sure that there's nothing left out. She did a horrible job on my taxes this was my last year I can claim my school for the rest of my taxes and she did not even maximize that please please please do not get your taxes done from this place especially from Jennifer. She seems like an amateur and she does not work hard to satisfy her customers . I would definitely give her a zero never go back again I will be looking for another company this place is absolutely horrible
