Absolutely love this friendly and welcoming business! Attending a Christmas event thrown by a friend to support our local libraries. I am NOT a crafty person but they made it so easy! I went home with an awesome sign that I can't believe I made. Prices are very reasonable and staff is super helpful

Last weekend my team second grade teachers made beautiful signs for our classroom doors. We had the the owners all to ourselves. They helped each of us with our projects and helped us have a fun and memorable experience. They are fabulous humans. Lots of laughs. Our signs look amazing on our doors. We will definitely be back!

I can not say enough about how amazing Hammer & Stain is! I contacted them to see if they could make a very special wall hanging for our daughter who unexpectedly had to have her beloved Frenchie put to sleep. She had found a saying that was exactly what her heart was feeling. They were able to create a beautiful wall hanging! I am ever so grateful for the care they took in making this for her. I can’t wait to be able to go back when this is over! Oh I also have an at home project that I am going to start!! You will love the things that they have for you to personalize, make and take home!! So fun!!

What a wonderful and fun projects to do as a family. We enrolled in a virtual door hanging class. Our hangers arrived with everything we needed to complete the project. The class taught by Suzy was very interactive, and we got to work at our own pace. Suzy periodically checked up on us and answered any questions we had. This is definitely worth the money and you end with your own original door hanger. I recommmend this place for anyone wanting to try something different. Thank you Hammer and Stain for the wonderful experience and allowing us to create memories. I can't wait for the next project!

They offered a paint Easter egg contest for kids. My kids entered the contest and once we submitted our paintings, they decided to extend the date that people could turn in their paintings. They also extended when the contest was going to end. It was supposed to be an Easter contest and and the Friday before Easter but they pushed it out and add an unknown date and time. I kept messaging them to ask them when the contest would and I could never get a an answer from them. We had people voting for the kids paintings and I kept messaging them to ask them what time the contest ended with no response. They finally end of the contest at a random time that they chose. My daughter Alyssa was one of the winners and was informed through a post that they would be messaging all the winners on how to pick up their price. We never got an email. I messaged them multiple times to find out how to pick up our price with no response. Finally I emailed requesting my money back and I finally miraculously got a response. They are refusing to give me my money back and also have stated that they don't know when they will be getting the prizes to the winners. It was a scam and I am really upset that they felt the need to scan little kids. Shame on you!

What a wonderful spot for date night! We met some fun people and the whole ambiance was so fun. The owner is very helpful and creates a fun atmosphere for even those who have no experience with woodworking. Highly recommended spot!

Signed my adult daughter up for a Chunky blanket course for October 2019. Received a nice enough email, confirming her attendance. I replied and let them know she would like me to attend with her, but that she was the only person participating in the workshop and that I had attended elsewhere previously and did not need to take the course. I received a response stating, I could not attend with her that it was only one person, one project. I then replied that I would like a refund as my daughter would not attend alone. I sent two emails regarding the refund. No response, therefore I called and spoke to Trevor Fawbush (owner, I assume). He explained that due to liability (because they have tools there), it was an issue and mentioned something about signing a waiver. (I am fine with signing, no issue there.). He then told me, he could not issue a refund but a credit for a future workshop, which I in turn stated, I didn't think I would want to attend any courses in the future as I was not happy about him telling me I could not attend with her. You see, my daughter, has health issues, she doesn't drive and is a dependent. I mentioned that if she was handicapped how would they handle a situation as that. Basically, she is, but I didn't feel I needed to discuss all of her personal disabilities to be able to sit along side her. Long story short, he wanted to discuss with his business partner (wife, my guess) and see if they could allow us to attend together. At this point, I no longer want to take her there, now it's an embarrassment for her and awkward for me. He now tells me he will refund a portion of my money, but has to keep a 20% "re-stocking fee". Seriously? The course is still a month away, another person can attend in my daughters spot & it's not as if they will not offer a chunky blanket workshop again! Any way, at this point he states, he will refund all my money. Well, that did not happen, he refund all but 20%. This isn't a review so much about the money, but how we were treated, made to disclose personal information about my daughter and then to be made to feel like we were asking for something really extraordinary. All we asked for was to sit along side each other while she takes the workshop. For them to keep any money at all I feel is wrong, and to basically discriminate against a person with "issues" is against my belief on good customer service & accommodating a person with special needs. Please be careful in purchasing a workshop, they are very strict on who or what type of people they will accommodate. Happy ending, I have since purchased a workshop for her (I can attend to, no problem, whatsoever) with Pinot's Palette in Temecula. Highly recommend them! Update, I have been blocked from their Facebook page. Apparently they did not like me commenting on their policies and warning people that they cannot refund and "if" they do issue a refund at all it will be 20% less. Not okay! Discrimination against any person is not ok! It would have been so easy to just accommodate us, but that was asking too much. Sad that there are small businesses that choose to operate in this manner. Instead of a great experience, I am disputing with my credit card company, taking my business elsewhere. Not sure they choose best, poor customer service and to not show kindness towards all people. This was over $80 people. It is not about the money for me, but the lack of empathy & doing the right thing, for all people to have an enjoyable experience. This was meant to be a gift for my daughter, what fun is a gift she wouldn't enjoy?
