American Diesel has a superiority to all other repair facilities in Riverside county, office staffing is very positive and professional and knowledgeable in the Heavy duty verbage to communicate effectively with customers when they expeditiously compile service repair orders. Their Heavy duty technician complete repairs as outline on service repair orders well within time standards allowed. I have a 2006 F350 with the 6.0 power stroke which American Diesel has performed all preventative maintenance and Major/minor repairs needed for over a decade. When I drop off my truck I can rest assured it's in great hands. American Diesel is a repair facility that former / retired Heavy duty repair techs take there diesels vehicles to. My last service I actually waited for my truck and it was completely within the time quoted by staffing..

Wonderful! Wonderful ! Wonderful.
After Ford dealership wanted an arm and leg and possibly some organs.
American Diesel fixed out truck in less than a week. Mind you Ford Temecula had out vehicle for over 3 weeks!!
Definitely honest with us and fraction of the price ford was trying to get.
Definitely recommend!

Well I guess this teaches me to read and believe the reviews. Made an appointment three months in advance and showed up on time, 8:30am, for an oil change and possible air filter change on my 37 foot Cummins MH. I guess being in time is only important to me. Called them at 2pm for status and the rep said he would check and call me right back. No call, and called again at 4pm and they said he would check but I would likely have to leave it tell Monday. I asked why they didn’t call to tell me with no answer. Went and got it and cancelled service. Total waste of time and no concern for customers at all. Stay away if you want work actually done..

I took my 45’ RV to American Diesel in Murrieta, CA to get the oil and filter changed on my Cummings diesel and my generator. They had a young technician do the work. The young kid, instead of just unscrewing the drain plug, went above the drain plug and broke off the connection to the engine. Somehow, it stayed until my next oil change when they told me that they would not change the oil because of the broken connection. It was close to a year later and I was told by a different repair service to take it to Colton Trucking in Colton, CA and they would repair it. Colton was able to put an extension on with epoxy, but service places still do not want to touch the drain plug as they are afraid that it will break off. Colton trucking charged me $750 to repair the plug. I could try getting my money back from American Diesel, but after all this time, they would say no. Just be aware that service people are often untrained in the basics. This was all very aggravating.

This will be a long one, so here's the TLDR up front:This is the single best and most honest Diesel shop I have been to with my Ford Transit 350 Diesel - and I've been to 8 in 4 different States. If you need a shop you can trust to get your vehicle working properly, take it here. The long story is that my wife and I bought our transit used, and it quickly had the engine light pop. We took her to 3 mechanics and 2 Dealerships in Michigan and Indiana, paid way too much money for repairs that didnt fix our problem. We traveled with it for a while because it didn't seem to impede operation and we were sick of getting taken for rides by people who didn't know how to fix it and didn't want to take the TIME to figure it out. We started working with American Diesel a few years after our purchase when we traveled to California and quickly appreciated their honesty and fair pricing with work. It was also immediately apparent that everyone there knows diesels better than anyone else we'd met.Eventually we bit the bullet again and asked them to work on perpetual engine light problem for us - half expecting that like everyone else they wouldn't be able to fix it.No.They worked on it, and worked in it. They didn't show us the door because it was complicated or time consuming. They didn't rake us over the coals when It came to pricing. They just took the time necessary and approached the problem like professionals with an eye for detail. My wife and I have been driving without issue for over 5000 miles and 5 months. It's been life changing for us to be able to travel without that constant amber glowing light. These guys are the absolute best and you cannot give your business to a better team.

On Feb. 07, 2022, I paid American Diesel $20,283 to replace the engine. On 08/01/2022 they asked for another $1801 to replace the valve body. American Diesel replaced engine with Jasper engine. Jr. also suggested I replace the turbo. He said "it's not if, but when" it will go out. Said it would be cheaper now. They put in the wrong turbo, many wrong parts. This caused computer to send false signals of bad valve body. Numerous trips back and forth stating truck was done. Continuous problems... After 13-14 months they stated truck was finished. Terrible problems continued. Took truck to new shop. Discovered wrong turbo installed which caused all problems, including valve body. Very shoddy work, missing brackets, loose hoses and broken caps. Had to purchase another new valve body because American Diesel said they didn't have the codes, they discarded them..? According to transmission mechanics I've spoken with, you always log the codes. It's the only way to communicate with the engine. After new valve body instal, all questions were answered about American Diesel. Cost me an additional $8000 to get my truck back running with no further problems. Filed a complaint with Bureau of Auto Repair. American Diesel told them that I asked for that turbo??? Hello, I'm the consumer not the professional. At no time did I ever ask for that turbo. I didn't even think about replacing the turbo until Jr. told me I should because of the miles on the truck. This facility should not be in business. I'm sorry I learned the hard/expensive way. Yes, I could take them to small claims court and undoubtedly win. However, then you have to collect the money. In this state.....good luck. In my 57yrs I have never written or filed a complaint. There is so much more to this story. I have photos of the 2 boxes of wrong parts that had to be taken off and replaced with the right ones. At this point I would just like to get the $8000 back that it cost me to get the truck running right.
