488 Main St, Murphys“We were on our way home after spending the day at Calaveras Big Tree State Park. My wife is vegan and had been craving a sandwich when she mentioned she noticed Sierra Hills Natural Foods as we drove by it. I said maybe they have a sandwich counter so I made a U-turn. The store is small but packed with lots for good things. They didn't have a sandwich counter but we left with some items my wife had been keeping an eye out for and hadn't been able to find in Sacramento. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures at the store so I included one of Big Tree State Park.”
“Incredible boutique grocery store with incredible selection of goods. Fresh sourdough, best vegan cheeses ever, delicious spreads, Thai/asian/italian cooking materials.
Reasonable prices too, like a Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s but with the vibe of an 1850s store. You NEED to check this place out if you’re plant-based or vegan. Teresa really has a lovely place here.”
“Had a tri tip dinner. It was phenomenal. Came with a generous amount of tri tip and sides. Definitely will be back for lunch and get the dinner again in the future.”
“What an amazing little store, hardware, groceries, top shelf adult beverages,a butcher counter on top of its game( the chipotle marinated chicken wings are wicked good) and staff that know a thing or two about customer service, this is way it's supposed to be, friendly, engaging and knowledgeable describes the entire staff at this little gem.Thank you and kudos to y'all at Sender's Market and Ace Hardware,it's a genuine pleasure doing business with you!!?”
“Service is amazing. Food is fresh. I'm able to take something home and it doesn't rot the very next day and that to me is awesome! This place takes its customers personally and cares about you.”

22277 Parrotts Ferry Rd, Sonora“Been going here for many, many years. Always kind, but just as with anyone else, they will give you the same attitude you bring in with you. Prices, yes, they are high at times. A little convenience store in a little town has many competitors. Do you not like the price? Go to Walmart and spend the extra gas money on top of the price of your Oreos and cheap booze. Thanks for existing, R&L.”

404 S Main St, Angels Camp“I accidentally left my wallet on the checkout counter while stopping into the store on my way home from a cabin trip. Luke and the other employees there were incredibly helpful in helping me get my wallet back without me having to make the 2-hour one-way trip back to the store. Very grateful for their kindness! They went above and beyond! It means a lot. I definitely recommend shopping here. They also had great deals and products! Thanks so much!”

2182 CA-4 #6, Arnold“This is me writing a review about Big Trees Market and wishing I had a local market like this back home. My family and I were in the area at our family cabin and needed to stock up on groceries. We found Big Trees Market nearby and I was really impressed. Why you may ask? How could a person be impressed by a mere grocery market? Let me tell you why, it's because this place seemed like a family grocery store. Well stocked and workers actually working to stock and help out. The people shopping were very friendly and the staff was so nice. I don't know how much more to explain it, it just gave a very homely feeling that left an impression on me. We were able to find everything we needed quickly and did not have to wait in extremely long lines to check out. It was a nice market place and again I wish we had something like it close to home. This will be our go-to market when we're visiting our family cabin again in the future!”

260 S Main St, Angels Camp“First time shopping at this store/chain.It feels comparable to a Safeway, with a wide selection of major brand products, a deli, bakery, and plant departments.Clean and well stocked. Friendly service.”
“I love this store. It is very convenient for a stop after work (no more having to always drive to E. Sonora for every little thing). The store is well stocked, clean and friendly employees. Great addition to our community.”
“I've been to this tasting bar twice and even though it is expensive ($66.00 for a bottle of olive oil) I don't mind paying for quality. What really bothers me is the scam. They have a card with 15 stars and when all are punched, you get a "free" bottle of olive oil worth $17.00. So basically they are overcharging by $!.13 per star which is refunded when all the stars are punched. It takes most people several months to reach fifteen stars and the tourists who don't come back are stuck with the overcharge. So, the owner is keeping the overcharge or receiving an interest free loan. Of course, the owner doesn't pay $17.00 for the bottle, so he/she is making out like a bandit. The answer is to charge a fair price in the beginning.”
