I had a verbal confrontation with the store manager "Jeff" (not sure that's really his name because he was hiding his employee badge from me by walking away). I was at the self checkout register when I needed help with a transaction. I called for help but nobody would answer and "Jeff" was busy chitchatting with his colleagues. I snapped my fingers to get "Jeff's" attention, but apparently that really hurt his fragile ego. Jeff asked to me leave my groceries and leave the store because he didn't like the way I got his attention LOL. So then Jeff forcibly placed some of my groceries back, but another employee intervened and fixed the self checkout transaction for me. I ended up making purchase for rest of the items because I did not want let Jeff to bully me out of the store. All this over Jeff misunderstanding the situation. I mean, really, who put this man child in charge of the store? Corporate Safeway needs to investigate this further and fire this employee because he hates his job and harasses customers. He has no place in customer service.

64 dollars for a dozen of roses, 29 for non rose flowers. All because it was Valentine's Day. What a rip off. And I bet your suppliers abroad don't even get a slice of the cake when yall price touch. Ewwww!!!!!! Update , on my drive home I pulled over in a pop up stand in East Palo Alto , paid less , but if my roses math is Right 40 would be how much a pop up charges for a dozen. Still way cheaper .

Enough parking, many other shops around, a bit old compared to San Antonio Safeway, same on space too , no self checkout lane, friendly staff, good selection of groceries, less organic selection

I like this store. Management is always much too busy to have a conversation, but the line employees are nice, and the store isn't kept at 30 degrees like some Safeways. Biggest problem is that there are no cold caffeine-free/sugar-free sodas available in the register coolers. No diet root beer, no diet Sprite, no diet ginger ale, no diet 7-Up. Just diet Coke, which many seniors can't have because it has caffeine. IF my walker and I make our way to the deli area, about one time in three, there's a single diet something rolling around, but usually not. I'd give them 5 stars if they'd add cold diet sodas to their coolers!

I'm in awe. This location has the friendliest people employees. The managers were great and so was Viviana at the Boar's Head. They made me my gluten free sandwich and that made my day. I didn't know that Safeway offers gluten free bread.

Worst frozen food section of any grocery store. The products are either half melted or completely frosted over, and there isn’t a day where at least one section is completely empty because it’s running too warm.Don’t buy anything frozen here unless you like crystallized ice cream with soggy packaging.

This Safeway is quite spacious and has a better butcher and seafood section compared to other Safeways, especially those in the East Bay. It's clean, like most Safeways, and offers plenty of self-checkout options for quick shopping. The fresh produce is readily available, and it's convenient to ask staff for help if you're lost. With a consistent layout across their stores, finding what you need here is straightforward, just like in other Safeway locations I've visited.Easy to park with the large parking space and close to the freeway so great access. Also I like how fast they do curbside when I order from there. Saves me A LOT of time shopping and they don't charge any extra fees!!!

Increasingly bad service and price gouging. All safeways doing this. Produce is way over priced poor quality. Bags of rotten bananas is the best sale going. Ice cream is ridiculous. Get a grip! Done shopping at your oversized convenience store.

Worst produce ever. All the onions are bruised and have moldy black spots. Fruit flies infestation on the onions at my visit on 8/16/2023 at 8pm.

I have been going to this supermarket now and then , it has stock everything you need for house hold. Very nicely mercahdsewd . It also has bakery and you get fresh bakery items . The wine and premix alcohol collection is good . So also hard liquors and beer. The fruits and vegetables are good . I love their readymade salad with sauce . I will keep visiting them again . Only sour point is the quality of coffe in their Starbucks outlet which is not good

I sometimes buy groceries here because is close to my home, but I have had twice the disgusting experience of buying expired products without noticing, and by expire I mean 1 month expired!! Don’t know how they manage to sell those products to customers

This is a poorly managed Safeway. The to-go food closes at 6pm right before the dinner rush. I now spend my money at different Safeways that are managed by people with basic common sense. Safeway should sack the decision maker on the to-go food hours.

Just wanna say the people that work here are amazing. Store manager past all the tests on good management and willingness to take a moment. I appreciate the free deli product for returning 10 plus carts from two blocks away. It wasnt necessary but, he still did it. (Lol I Got tired of the homeless or lazy one way pile up of shopping carts near my house).Compassion is well noted by much bigger eyes than mine. Thank You!!Employees here are community people with no bias and appreciate their customers. Glad to have you in the neighborhood Safeway on N Shoreline! Love!
