Absolutely run down, today only the gift shop is a reminder of its long-gone glory. There are no longer any exhibits to see, the shelves are half empty and the whole thing seems out of place. There are still some nice souvenirs to buy, absolutely overpriced, you feel like you're in a ghost bazaar.Really not recommended!

It's a bit harsh, but there are still quite a few choices of t-shirts

This was a pleasant surprise of NASA gear for an affordable price. Like a nasa outlet store in a sense. I was disappointed there were no educational displays or insights into the happenings at the Ames center, as that was what I hoped for. But if you want to some cheap merch, you got it here.

It's a poorly stocked gift shop rather than a visitor center, with no exhibition or whatsoever. Surrounding NASA facilities are all heavily guarded from trespassing. The staff said all the exhibitions are moved to Oakland... just like how they outsourced their space program to Elon's company. I guess this evidences the decline of the good o' US of A... To save your time, don't come.

Horrible place. Do not waste your time! Actually, it is a military research facility and tourists are not welcome. Avoid!

This has been closed ever since the pandemic but they have an online website with the same stuff online it's called NASA gear . Com so that's where I have been going to get it all now until they open back up.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to visit. Tourists are allowed only in the shop which should also have some small exhibition rooms. It's a shame that those rooms were closed, resembling more storage closets than the exhibition rooms they were supposed to be. Overall the place seems kind of abandoned and not in very good conditions (there were also water on the floor in the conference area). I would be happy if the NASA will renovate this area, showing more about the missions and the projects the Ames Center is contributing.

No longer a visitor center as of 2020, now a gift center since 2018 according to staff. Fine if you're only expecting a gift shop, and does contain a couple NASA pieces, but certainly no longer any sort or gallery or exhibit. They say the building will be replaced in a few years and perhaps turned back in to a true visitor's center and public exhibit in the future, so perhaps consider a visit in the future.

It doesn't contain much. It's much more of a gift shop than a visitors center. Still it was fun for a half an hour or so. Stop by if you're in the area for other reasons.

The NASA Gift Shop is the worst online shopping experience I ever had. Knowing how notorious the NASA is, I would have expected a bit of professionalism but these persons are just thieves!
