The management removed my review. All of the statements below are true. If you are looking for apartment, please take a look of all the 1 star reviews on Google map.
Past Reviews
Terrible management. I have never seen any maintenance team checking around the building interior to spot any issue. The management doesn't do anything for the residents. I think because they are leasing agents, nothing about maintaining the building.
BTW, the package thieving is horrible, they thefts even come into the building and hunting their needs during business hour in front of the management office.

The tap water from this building started to have some unknown add-ons. The smell is kind of sour, but not like chlorine, it is much more irritating than that. I did invenstigate the the tap waterin surrounding facilities, they are all normal.
Side effects
1. Allergy, such as rash, runing nose, itchy eyes, etc.
2. Hard to wash away the detergent which can cause skin issues.
3. If you use tap water as your drinking water, you may have high blood pressure.
Possible cause: Building may use exceeded amount of water softerner (potassium chloride).

I wholeheartedly encourage the potential residents taking time and reading Ronika Lewis' review. She did fantastic writing and explained all the down sides that the management is trying best to hide.
After the management replied me 4 weeks that they are intend to improve the service quality, but that is totally a joke. When I reported issues to them on 4/4/2024, they were still kicking the ball back and forth, and finally to the GreyStar legacy.
The P1 main gate was down on 4/2/2024, and I was calling the office in the lobby while 3 employees (Including the manager) were there to report the issue and nobody picked up my call.

The management hired some contractors to fix the pool issue, then the workers caused the serious leakage in the garage. The weird thing is that the management even didn't notice this issue and relying on the residents to report any issue in this complex..... Come on, the management should patrol your property everyday or every few days to notice any problem. The pool water contain chlorine which can corrode resident cars chassis.
The most funny thing is, the management just did the drain pipe repair for the pool last November, how come it broke this fast?
Avoid this complex at all cost please. DO NOT be trapped here.

We are obligated to utilize the trash pickup service, yet the personnel enforcing it appear excessively stringent. I've witnessed pickup workers wielding disproportionate power to reject trash based on their mood. Despite securely packaging my recycled trash in plastic bags and adhering to all the rules set by the building management, the pickup worker still carelessly scattered my trash around the hallway carpet. It's baffling why we're subjected to exorbitant extra trash fees only to receive such rude and unprofessional service. The management must terminate this futile service altogether.

Updated: finally I got the check so that I changed it from 1 to 3. Overall, it’s a slow process. Every time the staff promised would help and call back but call back never happened. And also I confirmed my address when I cancelled but they got the address wrong every time I called and had to correct it again and again.
I visited here and found a nice room but the offer was not good enough. The leasing office asked me to apply and they promised to argue a better offer for me. But finally there’s no special offer. So I cancel my application the very next day. And they said they can’t directly return the 150 USD deposit to my card, but instead they can refund through check. Now one month passed, I still haven’t received my money. I called them every week, and every time they promised it will be returned very quick. But the check never arrived. I don’t know what they are doing. Are they assuming I will forget it sometime so that they can keep my 150 bucks?

This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. The management only says sorry to the residents without fix any issues. Please think about this place triple times before you sign the lease.

We just moved in and it’s been a pleasant experience with the office staffs. They are professional and responsive to email/questions.
From the apartment tour to signing the lease, everything was smooth and the staff members are super friendly! They were able to accommodate our requests (swapping units, parking and locker) which I think they definitely try and help out wherever they can. They are a new management company that took over the previous one, so they still have to work out some road bumps. We’ll update our review as we continue living here.

A few weeks ago, I relocated to MV and the experience has been fantastic. The team here is incredibly supportive and attuned to the requirements. Their approach is far from ordinary, as they consistently aim to exceed expectations, not just complete transactions. I'd like to extend my special gratitude to the lead Kristel, Bridget, and Sean for their exceptional dedication, and for my smooth move. Let's not overlook the maintenance team, who are also outstanding. It's common to encounter problems anywhere, but what matters most is the promptness and positivity in response, and this place excels in both aspects.

I've seen significant improvements in our apartment since the new management took over. Initially, I encountered some issues during my renewal process due to the previous management. However, the new team, led by Kristel, has been exceptional in their dedication to resolving issues promptly and efficiently. Kristel genuinely cares for the tenants and is an excellent manager. I appreciate the team's positive changes and the commitment to ensuring resident satisfaction.

I have been a tenant at MV Apartments for two years as an executive rental while commuting to the bay area. The building is fantastic with great amenities and a great location in between Palo Alto, Los Altos, and Mountain View. There were some mix-ups with my lease dates, and transitioning front desk staff...however, I spoke with Kristel Jensen of new management, and she was exceptional. She kindly coordinated with me over the next few days, trusted my input, reviewed documentation, and resolved the open items promptly and effectively (even during her evenings). They are also experiencing some issues with their payment portal, which she assured me they will resolve and come back to me rather than having me worry about anything...she was exceptional and for that reason (as well as the amazing building) I would refer anyone including those looking for a high-end executive rental to choose MV Apartments.

Incredibly poorly run from a management perspective as well as maintenance. We had ongoing problems in the apartment that took forever to get fixed and also problems in the garage with flooding. We understand it’s under new management, but the prior management team was completely unprofessional, and totally unqualified for the work. We left the apartment complex because it was literally intolerable to live there.

We have been living in MV apartment a few months, the following is the list of the problems I have spotted. This is a long review and gives you all the details, please be patient while reading. Thanks!1. Water PollutionThe water hardness in bay area is actually normal, but this apartment put water softener into the tap water and caused so many issues whatever to your convenience or healthy.a) California is known as a state which has water shortage issue, but this apartment's "soft water' requires you to use much longer time to rinse the soap or hand wash away. This is wasting water and dramatically raise your water bill for sure. b) The mixture of of soft water and body wash will cause the extreme slippery while taking shower, I almost fall while taking shower more than 10 times in the passed 3 months. c) I and my wife notice the water softener can cause skin allergy. After shower both of us feel the skin itchy and some of the areas turned red. d) Since the water softener uses "potassium chloride", human can get sufficient potassium from food, and drink extra amount of potassium can cause your heart issues, like high heart beat rate. Based on my recent monitoring, the building is adding more and more potassium chloride compare to the previous months, so you need to buy bottled water for your healthy.2. 48 Hour Entry NoticeThis apartment never give you the 48 hour notice on time. When they give you the notice, that means sometimes 24 hours left, sometimes 30 hours left. They never follow the law to send the written notice to you before the 48 hours time window. Also, for the parking position on the shifter in the garage, the workers entered it without any notice to the tenants, and after they left, the rolling door stopped working and could not be closed. Very unprofessional management and they never give you the solutions to it. Don't trust the response from the management, it will result in "nothing we could help". The general manager should do most of the customer service work, but why this complex forced the 2 very nice leasing agents to do so?To be continued. I will have the rest information listed here once I have time.
