Lovely apartment complex, well taken care of apartments, new, thick and good quality carpet, free accent wall and welcome gift basket, common pool and laundry rooms, pet friendly, good communication with property managers, reasonable prices.

I highly recommend this apartment complex especially to those of you with cats! The apartments are well maintained, spacious, QUIET, and the grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. Apartment reviews and finding a good complex can be so hard in this area. This place is truly as good as the reviews make it sound! This complex has the added benefit of being gated, so the grounds and pool feel even more secluded and relaxing.

I love living at Loma Vista! The building is in a great location andwe have a great community. It's a great place to come home to after work, knowing that I can relax and not worry. Momi and Tom take great care of the place and all the trees make it feel less like a city apartment building and more like a nature preserve. 5 Stars!

Loma Vista is a wonderful place to call home. I spent a little over 2 years at Loma Vista and it was by far the most pleasant, beautiful and best maintained place I've lived in around the Bay Area. The property managers, Momi & Tom are incredibly attentive, helpful, and friendly. If you're looking for a great apartment with beautiful grounds, great location, and management who genuinely care, Loma Vista is an excellent choice. There are quite a few things that stand out about Loma Vista, but a primary one is that since it's not part of a faceless corporation, you won't need to send 20 emails or be on hold for 4 hours to get something dealt with, you can message Momi & Tom and they'll address whatever issue you have incredibly promptly. Momi & Tom make it a top priority that you feel welcome and at home in Loma Vista. They'll even give you tips on where to visit if you happen to be traveling. The grounds are beautiful and tidy, with manicured trees and foliage. The apartments themselves have solid wood (oak) cupboards, and the rooms actually have lights and ceiling fans in them (which seems to be a rarity in this area...). Overall a great spot.

Loved, loved, LOVED my time at Loma Vista! My two bedroom apartment was beautiful, spacious and well designed for easy living. Lots of storage! AND best of all, a great deck that was surrounded by a beautiful tree (affording privacy) and overlooked the pool. The property managers (Momi and Tom) are thoughtful, responsive, helpful and kind. Took care of any requests promptly and communicated clearly. Received notifications regarding any work that was happening that included the duration and impact to the tenants. Would have stayed forever if I didn't get a job opportunity in another state. Will always think of the place quite fondly. It was well cared for and felt like home.

Not the best memories living at Loma Vista for almost 10 years. The owner is extremely paranoid and makes many assumptions about tenants that make them a target for her brand of approaching issues big or small. But it's a cat-friendly place and is one of the better-priced complexes in the area. If you can tolerate the stress of feeling watched by the owner and getting notices threatening eviction over minor (or even fabricated!) issues, then it'll be fine. We lost many nights of sleep and spent days hating living there because of the vibe of the owner. With regard to the quality of the complex, it had been improving with each new management team over the years we were there. Amenities are simply 4 washers and 4 dryers to share with the entire complex and a pool. For our tastes, the complex got really loud, and the owner loves leaf blowers and has management run them daily. Even when the fumes cause you migraines and you ask the owner to use an alternative, the owner will ignore any mention of your discomfort and simply state the device is to code. Obviously this review is mainly about the owner and not the various resident management teams we met over our 10 years at Loma Vista. They had all been fine for as long as they lasted, although there are times when the owner puts them up to stuff and makes things worse. Again, the owner... We removed our prior reviews after a condescending and manipulative conversation with the owner 8 years into our tenancy (never met her before then), but I'm re-posting a short review without details of the myriad troubles created by the owner. We moved out after finally buying a house across the Bay, away from the owner and her paranoia that made our lives so very uncomfortable. So, just be aware.

I lived in Loma Vista for 3+ years. I even upgraded from a 1-bedroom to a 2-bedroom in the same complex. Before Loma Vista I lived in one of these new construction monstrosities in San Jose that had more space but nickels and dimes you. I found Loma Vista to be reasonable management and they keep the grounds so green and natural. It was refreshingly simple compared to most options in Silicon Valley. Even though it is right on Rengstorff, it is surprisingly quiet inside.

Loma Vista is a lovely apartment complex. We moved in the beginning of the pandemic and always found Loma Vista to be our safe oasis, and we just moved out because we are moving to the east coast. The apartment was given to us super clean and renovated, like a new apartment. Any issue we had was immediately taken care by the managers Momi and Tom, who have been the sweetest and most efficient managers we have ever met. They pay attention to details and keep the complex in great shape, with beautiful gardens and a clear water pool. Our neighbors were super friendly and polite people. Loma Vista will always be a special place for us, and we will miss a lot Momi and Tom!

This is a great place to live in Mountain View. Rent is very reasonable, comparing to similar apartments. The 2 Bedroom and 1 bathroom layout is very spacious. Large windows and the sliding door on the balcony make sure there are enough sunlight coming in. The current onsite managers are very nice and respond maintenance requests very fast.

As of today, I have lived here for roughly 14 months, and moved in just a couple of months before the new managers showed up. The managers and the unit conditions are superb, and prices are consistently below-market. One of my friends is living in a one-bedroom apartment in Mountain View and pays the same as I do for a two-bedroom apartment at Loma Visa.
Management: Both the assistant manager who helped us with signing the lease and the new managers are extremely responsible. They are proactive about communicating ongoing maintenance work and very prompt to reply to both maintenance requests and questions.
Apartment & Environment: The apartments are in excellent condition, appliances are modern, lighting is great, and the area between the two buildings is very well-landscaped. The pool is cleaned very regularly.

I lived there for two years. The new managers are personable and take great care of the landscaping. However, the landlord / owner was difficult to deal with since the very beginning and it only got worse. More details forthcoming. But I think if you search around, you'll find several people saying the same thing. She truly seems to have it out for her tenants. The landlord was somehow able to convince the worst reviewers to remove their reviews, which is artificially inflating the rating for this place.I took my first opportunity to leave, and while moving is a hassle and costs a pretty penny, it was worth it to me to not give this landlord any more of my business. I wasn't going to bother with reviews, but since the owner kept most of my $2000 security deposit unreasonably, I thought it prudent to let others know what they might be in for.The apartment itself was not bad, but not a luxurious place either. The carpet quality was slightly better than comparable apartments. My apartment had a sliding glass door to my patio which overlooked a pool. Parking spaces were small — I'd park the passenger side of my car all the way next to the wall to give myself and my neighbor room. Driving out of the apartments was tough, since due to the parked cars on the street (parking in red is common) there was no visibility on either side when trying to turn on California St. I witnessed a car accident last year as a woman was trying to leave the apartments.I did not like the laundry facilities and wrote the management an email with the details a few months back. There is no in-unit laundry, but there are two shared laundry areas in the back of the complex. The machines do take credit card which is great. However, the washers don't do a good job of getting any stains out.. at all. And I would swipe my credit card several times and have the dryers run for over an hour, and my clothes would still be damp. I ended up drying a lot of my clothes in my living room on a rolling rack. Eventually, I started going to a laundromat to finally have laundry that was both clean, and dry. (Shoutout to El Camino Laundromat, I reviewed them a few months ago)A lengthy, full review of the pros, cons, amenities, my overall experience etc is forthcoming when I next find down time.
