I had a piercing done last Friday expecting my appointment with Mark but without warning someone else tended me. I would have appreciated the heads up since I built a rapport with Mark and enjoy his professionalism and straightforwardness as a nervous customer that does not do well with needles. Customer service was great but my right ear was not sanitized before piercing just measured. My earings were sanitized which was greatly appreciated.
I asked about Mark but my question was dodged and couldn't get a straight answer. I'm not sure what happened but would appreciate to know if he is still working there or not for any future piercings I decide to get.
Update to response:
I guess my review was not read before responding but my right ear was not sanitized before piercing. I was not given a straight answer regarding Mark since it was him whom I made my appointment with.

Nontransparent pricing bordering on dishonesty. Came in to buy a backing for nose piercing and asked for a price estimate - was told "not sure, probably 15, definitely less than 30". Was ultimately charged 41 due to convenient omission of a "25 dollar service charge" for 30 seconds of work. (Putting my jewelry back in). Had I known about this fee, would've sought business elsewhere.
Disappointed about this misleading and arguably dishonest business practice by the store operators.

I had a fantastic experience with Clay!I originally came in for just one ear lobe piercing, but it was so quick and painless that I decided to get a helix piercing too! Clay was patient and very calm, I felt very comfortable and relaxed during the whole process, highly recommend Clay and thank you for this amazing experience!

I walked into the store and the associate was asking me if there was anything that I wanted ??? I asked her for what I was looking for she said that I wouldn't find what I was looking for in her store or anywhere in the area because they wasn't allowed to sell that kind of property or product in this surrounding area !!! She was polite and all about business...

Mark is a wonderful piercer— professional, kind, and precise with his work. I got my nose pierced from him and it is healing very well, no issues.
I felt very safe getting pierced at his studio. He keeps his station clean, is super hygienic, and sanitizes all of his tools professionally. I was nervous to get my nose pierced, and Mark was super kind and affirming, no nonsense. I’ve also gone to him for advice on other piercings I’d gotten elsewhere that didn’t seem to be healing properly, and he really knows his stuff— he helped me understand the healing process for piercings (doctors will usually tell you to take them out, but sometimes what looks like an infection is just the healing process and requires patience and saline spray!). I recommend Mark to all of my friends and will definitely go to him for any future piercings.

Mark took the time to walk me through each step and was very informative about aftercare, ensuring I knew exactly what to expect. He placed my piercing perfectly, and I couldn’t be happier with how it looks! Mark's expertise really shines through, and all the staff were welcoming and friendly, contributing to a great atmosphere. His friendly conversation helped me feel relaxed throughout. I wanted a piercing to memorialize my friend's recent death. I was feeling emotional and vulnerable but Mark put me at ease. He walked me through every step and talked me through the process of taking care of the new piercing. His studio is incredibly clean and organized. Plus, he is just a wonderful human that's been piercing for many, many years. Thank you Mark for your expertise and kindness!

I've gone to Mark for piercings and piercing-related questions/jewelry swaps for the last ten years. He does a wonderful job and I'm always impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. I recommend him to everyone I know in the area who is looking to get a new piercing or needs a question answered about an old one.
His studio is very clean and calm, and he has always advised me on any pain I've had post-piercing. The first time I went to him for a helix piercing, I wanted to put a ring in right away and he strongly advised me against it because of the issues that can cause while healing. His deep knowledge and experience supports him keeping his clients safe and helping them make smart choices to keep their piercings healthy and clean. Glad to have him in the neighborhood!

Took My 5 yr old daughter to get her ears pierced by Mark. She was nervous but Mark explained step by step and that calmed her down. Mark was great, very professional in general, explaining, sanitizing etc. my daughter loved his Job and so did I. Highly recommend Mark specially with kids.

OH. Also. For "reviewers" Please don't go around rating any business 1 star based on information you have not confirmed. People rely on ACCURATE REVIEWS. ACCURATE. Before writing a review, check YOUR attitude..Please. Make sure that you're not blaming the sun that was hot outside for how you feel about a business. We need to support one another. That said, this place is legitimate and it's a great smoke shop. Be honest, provide legit reviews. I'd really be upset for anyone to miss out even on ONE customer over someone else who just felt like writing something ridiculous. So.
