Came to Expert after another repair shop failed to remedy MAP sensor codes and the hard downshifts from second to first that sometimes occurred while braking more than a little coming to a stop. Expert discovered the throttle body was dirty and sticky and likely the cause of the car's issues. They cleaned it and it appears to have to have resolved the issues. They also informed me of a Technical Service Bulletin for a programming update (dealer required) to fix too sensitive the MAP sensor code. We also discussed the sequence of actions to take in turn to resolve these issue. But it looks like the first step has worked.

I took my older Ford Expedition in to have a check engine light and rough running problem checked. Expert Auto did a complete diagnosis and found several problems. Just the parts to correct a couple of problems were too expensive to justify the repair for such an old vehicle. When I said that I would just get rid of the vehicle rather than repairing it, they fully understood and charged me nothing for the diagnosis! Incredible service. Who else does this... no one I have found.

I am so glad I found this place! They are so professional and very prompt with their service. I finally decided to stop going to a dealership for service after being disappointed and I am so glad I came here. Christian is very knowledgeable and doesn't sell you service you don't need. I needed to have all of the brakes replaced on my Range Rover Sport and his price was very reasonable. Couldn't be happier with the outstanding service!

They're super friendly.
I've been taking my GLC to them for regular maintenance.
The price is really reasonable. I used to pay way more at dealerships.

If you're looking for a dependable and competent auto shop in the Palo Alto/Mountain View area, look no further - Christian is super knowledgeable and absolutely fantastic! Not only did he do a great job servicing the car, but he also thoroughly inspected it and offered honest maintenance suggestions without any upselling. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else for maintenance and repair.

I had a great experience. My car was leaking coolant and Expert auto care diagnosed it right away and took care of the problem and I was back on the road. Christian explained all of the issues and I was very happy with the service. Finally found a mechanic I can trust.

I wanted to remove some after-market lights that the previous owner installed in my car. Christian listened carefully and ended up referring me out to another shop that could meet my needs better. We've been going to Christian for all our auto care needs for the past 15 years, both at his past business (MPG Auto) and current one at Expert Auto Care. He's the real deal - friendly, honest, humble, and far-and-away the smartest "car guy" I've ever met. If I don't need something changed, he'll let me know. If there are two options to fix something, he'll give the pros and cons of each, and never upsells. I trust Christian 100% and his work is always perfect. Great guy and great business!

Finally found an auto shop that I can trust in the area. They aren’t going to gouge you and they even comped me for some minor service work. They are my go to from here on out! Oh and I love their repair and maintenance tracking system. So helpful!

Christian is great. His team first performed diagnosis with no upfront charge. Once the issue was identified, he called with the estimate and time to complete.
