Was just charged $500 USD erroneously. Authorities have been contacted. Their website does not allow you to DELETE account either. No one returning calls or emails. Could be fraudulent. Be wary.

Deeply disappointed. I did makeup for a convention for the Confluent booth and was never paid. They hired a company, Characters Inc, and the company paid me by check and then reversed my funds last minute after I bought a wig, gave it a haircut, bought prosthetics and did a quick makeup. I run one of the best fx companies in the Bay Area, but I was hired the night before. Characters Inc scammed me for free work and materials and I emailed Melissa Almgren to ask if she could interject a word on my behalf since she and the convention goers were pleased by the makeup. My email was short, professional and respectful. If she couldn't do that, at least asking Characters to make sure I was paid out of good ethics would have been appreciated. All I can think is that she did not want to get involved in something controversial, but I think a simple letter could have done a lot for me. Characters Inc promised to pay me for almost a year and even said once that the check was in the mail...

Actually, Due to the prolonged wait period I can only deliver this company a 4-star review, however, it was a 3-star experience because you guys missed a spot. :(

I paid for the kit and shipped it on my own account to me and back to the US, only to know that they invalidate my sample. Deeply disappointed!! Plus they have robot like customer service. They don't try to understand your situation...

23andMe is supposed to be scientifically-based. Unfortunately, they don't even understand the definition of race or national origin. They try to force users from the Middle East to identify as non-white. Look up the definition of "White" or "Caucasian", folks! Middle Eastern people are White. Then, they try to say if your ancestors are born in Palestine in the 1800's, that this is Israel, not Palestine. Has anyone on their research team read a history book? Or, are they just playing politics and rewriting history?

One month to get there ( I live in the States....pony express?) and now this message when I looked up the status: We are working to upgrade computer systems at the lab. This will add a few weeks delay to your processing time. Please hang tight!" AND that's over and above the time they told me I'd have to wait. I really wished I would have looked into their reviews a lot more that just the reviews they wanted us to see. Boo!

Its been 2 months and still no results! I called customer service and they refused to tell me if they received my sample. They used the excuse that it was private information that couldnt be released over the phone. And they outsource customer service to india. This company sucks!

RATE NEGATIVE 0 !! Customer service sucks big time. They have people in The Philippines answering and you cant even understand them, waiting for over a week for customer service to respond....
