Lake Hemet Campground is big. Yes that's what came to mind first. It has many different offerings. From RV spots, to tents, to cabins, to even now glamping tents ( which are quite pricey to be honest ). In past they had the blow up floating park in the lake, I am not sure if they still do that. That is fun for the kids when the lake is not too cold haha. You can go fishing, the owners constantly put more fish in the lake. They have a IG page too if you want to follow their activities. My family and I have been there for Easter, 4th of July and even Halloween. They always make these holidays special with treats for kids and activities too.

Cool views. Mountains are what we are looking for. The lake was nice. Cold tho and not so easy comfort wise but it was worthwhile to enjoy the majestic landscape with the mountains so close by. Will return.

Great Lake for fishing. The staff treated us wonderful. Food at the store is very good. Best of all are the views of the snow dusted mountains. Definitely will come back.

So far it’s great. The campground is a little dilapidated, certainly needs some upkeep. But still nice and scenic.Nearby activities: Fishing and boating.

Enjoyed the full hook up sites and the winter weather . Overall experience was perfect. Check in was easy, reminders and rules sent early which is great customer service. All staff was friendly and helpful.Would love to see discount given to military veterans with 50 % or more disabilities many federal and staye campgrounds do ..Thank you all for our experience we will be back , keep up the awesome work .Duane

Nearby activities: Hiking at the Pacific Crest Trail. Shopping and fine dining in nearby Idyllwild. Short drive to Temecula Wineries.Safety: Safety is a fundamental concern in today’s society and I have always felt safe while staying at Lake Hemet.Walkability: The immediate vicinity of the park area is mostly walkable but the further you go the worse it gets & progressively becomes more difficult to navigate the walkways, (IMHO) they are not wheelchair or handicap friendly and are in need of serious maintenance.Food & drinks: Food at the store is ok. Nothing fancy and it is overpriced for what’s offered but it’s nice to have available as an option.Noteworthy details: Lake Hemet can be seen in the opening credits of the show “Bonanza”.

It's a nice scenic drive to the lake. We vent to fishing for a day. The campground was clean in general. Dirt roads but in good condition.

We rented one of the lakeview cabins for our two night stay. The lake and surrounding area is beautiful with lots of wildlife. It’s too bad the campground has such strong restrictions against swimming (limited times to swim so you have to plan your whole day around that, tiny area to swim with a ton of people, dirty, trash everywhere). The cabin was extremely overpriced for what you get—we didn’t mind the small size, however for $200/night I would expect more than four walls. No bathroom, running water or AC in 101 degree heat. Communal bathrooms were centrally located, however very dirty, broken knob in shower, etc.
