“You're not going to want to miss this review! Here's why!1.) They send you a welcome text, a real person is behind it. You can interact with them prior to your arrival. And during your stay, they are a quick text or call away. I had a question and within seconds my question was answered.2.) A lot of older hotels heat does not work well, or it's drafty. My room heated up so quickly. At no time was I cold. And the space has room to sleep, room to relax on the couch and even a desk to work from. And the housekeepers are so accommodating and personal.3.) The room was clean, bright, and welcoming. The bathroom is a little small, but it's a bathroom, its clean, and exceeds all your needs.4.) There is an outdoor longue area with patio lights and a fire pit. Hotels like this don't often have a space like this. So it was an excellent addition and space to spend time with others in your party outside. There is also an indoor living room in the reception area with a fireplace, most people don't take advantage of spaces like this, but it's a must.5.) You can tell the owners and GM Shawn truly care about their guests and property. If I'm staying in a hotel, this is the spot I'm staying in Mount Shasta. It's run like a luxury hotel but with the travelers budget in mind.6 STARS would highly recommend.”

“Nice room, slightly worn in a few spots but very clean. Very nice staff, haven't met anyone who didn't go out of their way to make sure we are having a great stay!Restaurant across the street (Harvest) is very good and you get a small discount if you tell them you are a guest.Breakfast was really good, fresh mixed berry waffle, some sliced fruit and a hard boiled egg with your coffee of coffee, teas or hot chocolate. You can also have roast and there looked like a few other options. No meat, but we felt it was really good anyway! It is located in a good place with other small hotels and just a short drive to downtown or south to Dunsmuir or east to McCloud within a few minutes. At this time of year (end of January) it was very quiet and we didn't have anyone on either side of our room.We will definitely plan to stay here again!”

“We did not stay here we just went up for the view to check out the snow and the ski resort. Beautiful place lots of parking. The people we spoke to said it was a great place to ski and plan the snow with the kids. For rest of you was fantastic we got a lot of great pictures of the area around it.Nearby activities: This is part of Trinity national Forest highway 89 which there is a lot to see. There is an ice cave up there there are waterfalls there are a few different lakes. This is also a place where a lot of people go hunting. There are a lot of places here to go camping with the family there are also swimming holes here with waterfalls.”

“This is a lovely motel. The buildings are older but the rooms have clearly been updated. Most importantly (to me) our room was very clean. The staff is so friendly. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in town.”

“It’s best to think of Loge as an upgrade to a “cabin in the woods with no electricity or plumbing.” Framed that way, you’ll be delighted to have dim Edison bulbs, TV and a climate system that could generate a lifetime of sound effects for the Star Wars franchise. But if you are hoping for a normal hotel experience, you’ll be disappointed. As others have said, this is an old motel that is aging quicker than they can repaint and hang hip art. And it is a community concept, which cuts both ways. We stopped overnight on our way from Oregon to SoCal. Was hoping for some quiet but there was a multi family group here, and their pack of kids were roaming the property, running, screaming, and jumping on beds right until 10p. At least they stopped when the quiet hours started at 10p. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and our pup enjoyed the stay — they made it comfortable for her. I’m glad we tried the LOGE but not sure we’d come back.”

“Best Best Western I’ve ever been to. If you’re staying in Shasta this is the place to stay. They also have an amazing indoor pool and hot top that’s open late. When we come back to the area we will only stay here.”

“It's simple and sweet. Each room is clean and has its own personality. Beds are comfortable and clean. Not deluxe accommodation, but we prefer this good value simplicity, since we're just sleeping and bathing and getting back on the road. Lots of great little shops and restaurants nearby if you're staying to ski. Good deal.Walkability: Across the street restaurants, shops.”
