READ THIS REVIEW - I have stayed here many many times without any issues. My wife and I absolutely love it! Yes, it’s rustic. That is what makes it unique and enjoyable. If you want something with all the modern amenities then you probably shouldn’t be staying on the mountain anyway. The rooms are clean and come with a nice size fridge, microwave and FIREPLACE! Go and unplug! Yes, I’m suggesting that you put your phone away and go enjoy the charm and natural surroundings that this place offers. And by the way, the guys that run it are very friendly and accommodating. They deal with tons of city slickers on a daily basis that think they own the place. Don’t be a jerk and you’ll get along just fine. Thanks for keeping it real guys! I always enjoy my time up there.

I live near here and frequent the area often. I absolutely go out of my way to avoid the grumpy guy who runs the place. From the get your bicycles off my porch to No you can’t park here for a few minutes. The guy absolutely should not be involved in customer service in any capacity. I think he enjoys sitting on the porch and picking fights with people. It’s funny I read about Facebook groups that complain about him and totally agree. Maybe there’s a reason that there’s standing room only at the Outpost BBQ down the street from you and nobody stops by your shop anymore. Good luck, but probably should retire or sell!

F this place and the people that run it. The A-hole at the counter normally would have been enough for me to move on but we were afoot hiking the PCT so we stayed. Time warp back to the early 70s because that was the last time any remodeling or furniture replacement has been done. Only stay here if you really have to.

This place gets reviewed by a lot of hikers, and they think it's good. Hikers are good people, but honestly, It's just hot water and a bed off the ground. I wish someone else owned this place, as well; these guys seem to dislike people, and I did hear them call hikers 'walking homeless', which really, really bothered me. Thanks, no thanks.Rooms: They smelled like mice.

I actually give this place 5 stars, but personally I don't read the 5 star reviews (cause they are usually paid for).I loved our two bedroom cabin. Clean, full size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and heat! We received a set of towels for all four guests. I called a few times, and the owners answered all my questions. They gave me advice due to the weather and fire conditions. Our group is having a great time with a potluck and other outdoor activities. And of course we enjoyed the live music across the road at The Outpost!!

My wife and I stayed at the lodge for one night while hiking the PCT. We really enjoyed it! The proprietor, John, was very kind and responsive to our issues/questions. And the store had plenty of food options; we were able to completely resupply ourselves with no difficulty. A great place to stay and to shop!

A truly wonderful selection of food and gear resupply for thru-hikers trekking along the Pacific Crest Trail. I ended up revisiting the store several times during my nero in the area. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with my questions. The store prices are decent given inflation, the isolated location and lack of mercantile competition. Recalling all the country stores which I've patronized as a thru-hiker, Laguna Mountain Store is one of the best along the PCT.

You know when a wonderful weekend and experience are ruined by one thing/person. Well, if you want to be yelled at for walking in the rain or even considering pulling over in the giant parking lot, the owner of this establishment is your guy. What a shame to have such an angry person in the mountains. I hope his attitude puts him out of business.

Cute store, however, the owner is a complete and utter p***** I have never experienced an angrier person. It was raining this weekend while I was in the area. We pulled over looking for parking and he came out to yell at us because he thought we were walking to the amazing restaurant and bar across the street. It's unfortunate that such a great area, seeing new businesses come to the area, has such a horrible human being ruining peoples' experiences in the mountains.
