“We booked a night here to rest on our way from LA to SF, and very glad we did. The area is very beautiful, the hotel is very nice, clean and large room with the king bed, car parking is free. The restaurants in the area are a must if you wish to try the best seafood in the area.”

“I WILL NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER HOTEL IN MORRO BAY. We had the most amazing time. The indoor hot tub was so fun! I loved that they had towels in there and it was super private. The beds and blankets were soooo fluffy and comfortable. Every staff member was amazing and helpful. They suggested fun stuff to do and were very kind and funny. Some hotels are just the VIBE and this place has it. I highly recommend staying here. Our room had a balcony and a fireplace, as well as the cutest coffee nook. We had a great view of the water. It’s right in the thick of all the fun on the embarcadero so you don’t have to walk far from the hotel to get something yummy to eat. Had a blast!”

“We enjoy the inn very much. Nice location friendly owners! We just visited for our anniversary. Our silver anniversary, 25 years! I love thé set up and I love the location. It's quiet generally and it's right on the water looking out at boats and people watching. The kitchen has most things needed pots, pans, dishes utensils coffee maker etc. We love to cook and have meals out on the deck while watching the water and the sailboats. There is a kayak/boat rental next door and we enjoyed taking a kayak out also. We road our bikes and we were able to keep them on the deck. Walking distance from shops and restaurants. Great spot for a 7 night stay away from the stress of our jobs. It's like going to a second home. The bed is super cozy and the couch is a pull out also. Couch although a pull out very comfy. We walked and purchased lobster tails and had a romantic evening on the deck. The inn is a smaller one, meaning, only 4 rooms/apartments, but it doesn't lack charm. There are plenty of towels blankets pillows and well privacy. We have gone to this location several times and it does not disappoint! Thank you Grays Inn for yet another wonderful anniversary, we will be back.”

“Stay the night at this nice little place at first we did not think the rooms was going to be very good and had doubts but once we were in the rooms were very nice very clean very well put together they had been updated in the little lady at the front desk was so sweet and nice she had everything ready for us by the time we got there no problems no hassles we will definitely stay here again when we go back to Morro Bay

“Not really sure what the other angry reviews are about but we had a great stay. Service was good. They do leave at 5pm, but they make sure you are taken care of. Rooms are smaller, but we had room with kids and dogs. The cafe they give you cinnamon roll coupons for is really good to eat at as well. You can walk to a lot of good options from there. We walked to the Galley for dinner, and it was great. Would stay again. Adding a view from the parking lot.”

“Our arrival looked to be around 1:30 A.M. We had called ahead about 10 p.m. to speak to someone about a late check-in and spoke to the owner. We did an online reservation and arrived around 2 a.m. due to a detour caused by the road closure construction on highway 41. We called and the owner allowed us in to do paperwork and secure our keys. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Coffee, fridge, microwave, and an extremely comfortable bed with a working ceiling fan above. We slept soundly and awoke refreshed and ready to seize the day. The stay was very quiet. Of course as expected, the rooms are priced seasonally, but Rockview was a most affordable room and the ONLY place that agreed to allow us a late check-in. Even the more pricey and affluent hotels wouldn't agree to a check-in after 10pm. I will most assuredly book a room here in my future stays in Morro Bay.

“Staff I encountered was very friendly. Fast check in process and very reasonable rates for the area. My room was clean, bright and cheery with newer accent pieces. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. I felt the room is bigger than a lot that I’ve stayed at in Morro Bay. Overall great experience. I appreciate the easy walk to coffee shops, restaurants and the waterfront.

“This is one of the nicest hotels in Morro Bay. We were very impressed with the room! Very nice, clean and comfortable beds. We had a view of the stacks and could see some of Morro Rock from our room and balcony. The price was comparable to everything else, but it was a much nicer place. Parking was a little tight, but at least it was in a covered and lit area. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay!”

“Back in 2019 till I left California in 2020. This was my go to place for a getaway vacation when I lived in San Diego. This area had amazing rooms amazing views amazing scenery when eating breakfast with the view of the rock and bay. Perfect place to take your date to for breakfast and a walk to the trails of the coast. My last stay here I had a view of the bay and rock with the sunset at an amazing price. If California wasn't so corrupt I'd go back to this hotel in a flash. I often times told nobody this location so nobody knows about it.
Nearby activities: The trial to the coast and the town Los Osos not too far away with the best Mexican food in the state.”

“Great view of the rock and stacks. Some rooms have a jacuzzi tub, others have a balcony. The roof top deck is a great improvement and the remodeled rooms are nicely done. 302 is still my favorite. Allison is the best! Thanks to all the staff for another lovely stay.
