Shout out to Jae for above and beyond Customer Service. Not only is Jae friendly and personable, but she went out of her way to assist customers directly and show them where to find items they were looking for. We need more people like her in the world and especially at stores we frequent.

You'll see The Assistant Store Manager on her phone or in the bathroom more often than tending to the sales floor, The Employees are clearly being forced to lie to customers as I've seen the store manager use the restroom after being told by the cashier it was "out of service" it's a complete mess in stationery/crafts/party half of the store!
Cashier was passive aggressive and he mangled my items and said if it was broken I could return it tomorrow, I'm not going back to a place like that!
You can smell second hand smoke from cigarettes throughout the store. Store manager seems to chain smoke constantly.
You always hear laughter coming from the management office! Must be the reason for such a concerningly high rate of employee turnover. Management does not support staff equally.

I had a whole basket full of items so I am clearly a customer. They have TWO public restrooms in the back of the store. One of them has a sign taped over saying “employees only”, the other one did not, but it was locked. I had to use the restroom very badly. The first employee said it’s for employees only, then why is there two? The second employee said they’re out of order. Both of them? I asked where they go to use the restroom and he said the closest one is McDonald’s ? clearly they’re lying. Both restrooms are supposed to be for customer use. But I just left all my stuff there and didn’t buy one thing because I had to leave to find a restroom elsewhere. Not going back.

Manager Chain-smoked in the parking lot in front of the store, Assistant Manager is always chatting on phone, force employees to lie about restroom availability, the right hand half of the store is a complete mess! Broken glass bottles in front of store. Lot's of fully opened beverages and food items litter every aisle, there are fruit flies in the store! Visited again and heard mice near the grocery section that smelt like rotten cheese, truly a scuzzy operation. This Store is run the exact opposite from Their Los Osos Location, Have no idea how Two store's so close to each other could differ so much!

Since I don't live here in Morro bay ; I usually don't have much time for shopping but I almost always stop here to pick up a few things from their store . Never have any problems and all the employees are all very competent with stocking shelves and ringing up sales at the registers . Today I noticed they had a large number of workers busy upgrading the store with new merchandise . Definitely will be returning ! What is ironic is after I put my purchases into my car I decided to visit the adjacent family dollar place . I was after a screen protector so could replace the worn one on my cell . As I walked around this place I couldn't locate what I needed but I still came close to making a few purchases . After several minutes I realized as I was toward the back of family dollar I was in need of using their facilities but realized the restrooms both had big "out of order" signs on them . Not a problem ! I just have to wait later I thought to myself . Right at that moment I had a woman blasting me with a ridiculously loud and rude tone of voice demanding to know how she can help me ! I was tempted to tell her to get help for herself ! The irony I mentioned earlier is that Dollar Tree bought the family dollar brand stores . It goes without saying that some of the crew need to be spoken to and evaluated as to whether they are fit to continue working . I'll just keep bringing my money to the Dollar Tree instead and avoid all the senseless drama next door $$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!

Well going by the store, there was a lady out front with a dollar tree insignia on with the name MIA and when I went by her I said you know the cigarette smokes carrying all the way to the front door and it's really not real helpful that you as the manager are not making sure that your store is looked at in a better light and I said well I'm just send something on Yelp and she said go ahead Anyway so if you're going to deal with dollar tree I used to smoke too but you don't need to smoke anywhere near the front door because your customers get insulted and then we have to go inside and deal with you at the counter or you're passing around your secondhand smoke anyway, just a thought maybe you could go somewhere else I have a place in Los Osos that's really nice And I'm not trying to say that it's better than the one here Morro Bay but at least the manager who wouldn't say a nice thing at all saying oh so I'm sorry I'll I'll move somewhere else and I offered her some suggestions. She said I can't go there. I can't go out the back door I thought well you can walk around the end of the building or you could walk out into the parking lot, but she got angry with me when I told her that if she didn't move and stop smoking in front of her store, I would give her a review on yelp, so here it is

Typical Dollar Tree stuff which is fine, floor seemed scuzzier than most DTs. I asked to use the bathroom - which was locked but clearly marked for public use… and the cashier told me it was “out of service” and that they don’t have a public bathroom because the “plumbing is horrible” - basically some lousy excuses. This is the first Dollar Tree I have been to without a public bathroom.Come on Dollar Tree!! You can do better- give people a place to go so we can shop in peace!
