I purchased a piece of art glass from the gallery’s website, and they shipped it out later that day. I’m across the country from the Gallery and the shipment delivered within 5 days. Very happy with the piece and the entire process from start to finish. I would not hesitate to buy from By the Bay Gallery again.

I enjoyed viewing the glassworks here at By the Bay Gallery on a recent visit. Being right by the ocean is a lovely environment for the works. The store is very upscale for Morro Bay, so it is fun to see work that I might expect to view in Cambria.

My wife and I visited the Bay Gallery. It was very nice. We made a purchase with the help of Karen Rohach it was a hummingbirds set. Unfortunately the set that we picked when got home and unbxed our purchase wasn't what we picked. The set we wanted were supposed to be hummingbirds sets facing eachother. One set facing right the other facing left. One item was correct it was facing right. The other had two birds facing in Opposite directions. When it was packed for purchase it was handed to someone in the back room. We understand mistakes can happen. What we want to know is with the amount of money it cost for the purchase how can we get the item we wanted.

Terrible experience - staff very rude to my son. When I asked them why they were rude to him, if he had done anything wrong, they replied, "Oh not really, but he was very close to the window display and I am sure you wouldn't like to have to pay for that amount of breakage". Snooty and unnecessarily rude. Not going back and defiantly do not recommend. It is a shame because they have some beautiful pieces. Answering the owners reply - It's funny because as an experienced educator (23 years) I am very familiar with not only supervising other peoples children but also my own. It is quite clear to me that you didn't make the connection that his grandparents were also inside the store with him. We were a large party of 8 people. Sometimes the eyes on the child are not the person you think. I am very aware when someone is politely redirecting a child and when they are being rude, as in your case. If you don't wish to let children enter the store for fear of the thousands of dollars worth of precious material, kindly place a sign on the door that says "no children allowed". It would be more direct than your passive aggressive behaviour.

The art pieces they regularly show are stunning. Yet affordable. And family are some of the most pleasant people ever...truly. Go there.

I have visited this beautiful gallery more than once, drooling over their art glass and unique collectibles. If you are in Morro Bay, you don't want to miss seeing their treasures and taking one home for yourself.Having met the owners I can say that they are warm, caring, and highly conscientious people you can trust. Highly recommended!

I stopped by just this past Sunday and got to meet the owner, Ray. He was very friendly and professional. I appreciated how he didn't treat me differently because of my age (22). Usually when I walk into jewelry shops I don't get as good of service as let's say an older person who could supposedly afford to pay for more expensive jewelry. This was the 4th jewelry retailer I had stopped by in Morro Bay that same Sunday. By The Bay Gallery was by far my favorite out of all of them. Ray was very informative on what jewelry pieces were good investments and which rings were good for what type of wear. He didn't try to just do a quick sale to me like the other shops. He focuses on customer loyalty and retention. I will be coming back to do business with them and recommend others do the same.

I am a local and while in Morro Bay for dinner, decided to walk in to the store. Initially I noticed the beautiful art and was impressed with all of their beautiful pieces. Though I was not initially there to purchase, had my experience been a pleasant one I would have. The employee, who I now know is the owner from other reviews, did not ask if we could be assisted in any manner and made no attempt to engage his customers. I had found a ring that I was interested in trying or having recreated with the same look, but a curved shape. I asked the man if they made their jewelry, but instead of saying yes, he asked what I meant. I asked again and he informed me that they don't make it there, but elsewhere and that it is all custom. I asked if he could make the ring that I was looking at curved. The man replied with, I'm not trying to be condescending, but if you want that ring, then you don't really want that ring. He stated that if it is curved you actually want a new custom piece. I told him that I understand that. The man then tells me that if I want a custom piece, that I need to sit down and talk about the design, product type, stones etc. The man then made the comment that, "it comes down to can you even afford that. " I was so off put by his condescending nature. The fact that he stated that he was not trying to be condescending, makes me feel that he knew that he was. I have used other local jewelers to have custom pieces made and thought this would be another. I will never go back to his business and will be sure to tell my other local jewelry loving friends to avoid such an unpleasant business owner.

This artist owned shop has a truly marvelous selection of fine handmade artisan crafts. Gorgeous jewelry at a variety of prices, friendly staff, and a large selection of blown glass and enamel decor. A must visit on the Embarcadero.
