“This bookstore is the bestest and the cutest, specializing in children's books. They have a huge commitment to stocking diverse books - I always find gems here for my son that I didn't know I needed. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable. There's even a grownup section in the back with a great selection of books in a wide variety of genres. Their sticker/candle/bookmark etc... selection is also on point.”

“I can always find something good. But I'm vegan, and they still put whip cream on my coffee. Put a little crimp in an otherwise great day. I love bookstores.”

“My experience at the bookstore was great. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Always greeted when entered store has an abundance of books and merchandise for the school. Lots of snacks as well with lots of variety. The assistant store manager was a great lady who helped immensely and was a very nice lady. “One of the most beautiful libraries I have ever been inside. The facade gets your attention with its Moorish Revival style. I don't live in Redlands, but I love libraries and since I was in the area I couldn't help to check it out and boy I am glad!I wish I had more time to spend inside! The decor is pretty, its windows are one of a kind. I felt envy for the folks reading in this beautiful spaces. The place is big, great selection for books, nice librarians and very peaceful. You felt like you were stepping in a different time period! The grounds are picturesque as well. If you live here, I hope you frequent it, if you visit the area, like I did, check it out! It's a paradise for bookworms!”

“Definitely call first ... I didn't call and just showed up; got lucky though and was able to reach the owner and he opened up.More non-fiction than fiction but a great old bookstore that you don't see much of any more ... might even be a gem in the stacks if you have the time to browse.”

“As a recent grad, the quality of education I received was superb. Most of the professors I had were wonderful and passionate about teaching, and the topics were engaging, encouraged discussions amongst students, and welcomed different opinions and critiques. I guess I was lucky to have pretty awesome professors who cared for their students' academic learning and well-being. As a non-traditional transfer student, it does get quite challenging to meet new people, but I made a few solid connections, which I care most about. The campus is clean, and the food is not bad; it can be decent. Yes, it can be quite a walk from the parking lot to campus, but who cares? People will always find things to complain about; it's all perspective. I love the libraries and did find many fave spots to study throughout campus. One thing I will say as a transfer, I found it to be quite challenging to find work on campus even though I qualified for work-study. I'd like to add that there is a vegan burger spot within walking distance from campus; it's so good; it's called "Veg & Go Plant-Based Fast Food," honestly, the best fries I've ever had in my life. You don't have to be vegan; go there and order the fries. Anyway, this school is underrated; there are plenty of smart, cool students here, and the professors I had were amazing; they truly made me fall in love with my academic journey and my time at UCR. They challenged me to become a better writer, to think critically and deeply about current events, and inspired me always to be better and grow as a student. I would like to add that the same professors I had have taught at other UCs and had graduated from UCs and other top Ivy League universities. Honestly, one's academic experience is what we make of it, and as long as we have the intention to develop good relationships with our fellow classmates and professors, one's academic journey will be enriching. I enjoyed my time here and I would do it all over again.”

“I appreciate this store for exactly what it is...which I think is the key to enjoying this particular Goodwill location as a shopper. Right off the bat, THIS DOES NOT FEEL NOR OPERATE LIKE MOST GOODWILL STORES DO. It's significantly smaller with a limited selection of items. Every time I've been in there, there's been no furniture/larger items, and the selection of items as a whole is small. An assortment of home decor items and clothing accessories, a wall of books, some clothing racks in the middle. That's pretty much it. That all being said...everything available is very carefully curated and shockingly clean by Goodwill standards. The shelves and books are all color-coordinated, and pretty much everything seems to be in very decent condition. It feels more like a small secondhand boutique than a Goodwill, to be honest. Given the size of the space, I actually appreciate that it's laid out this way. It's easier to find things, and the things that I find are usually of higher quality. If you are trying to make a donation...I, personally, would not do it at this particular location. The thing I like about making donations to most Goodwill stores is the ease of it. I like being able to pull my car up to the side of the building and have an employee take the items without too much fuss. From all of the negative reviews on here, it seems like that isn't really how donations go down at this Goodwill store. I would actually recommend the Colton Avenue location in Redlands for anyone looking to make donations in the area, as that seems to be a store with a more standard donation set-up.”
