I would recommend them , they helped with my account issues, and got me back on track, and especially with one of their best workers , I would recommend asking for Wendy, she is very helpful and intelligent, she will go beyond and above to get the job done for you , she did for me and I truly appreciate her honesty and hard work , she's one of a kind .

Workers need to be more educated on how support members with CPI charges. Although the CPI charges (aka forced insurance) are with a 3rd party they still need to be well aware of how support members when a member is provide documentation needed etc. Altura should consider a different 3rd party for CPI charges as well. This was by far the worst experience I have ever dealt with it took 7 months but it is now resolved thanks to me spending hours on the phone and hours at the branch trying to support altura to connect with my auto insurance. I learned my lesson though. Never financing with Altura EVER again. My first time not going with my original credit union (SchoolsFirst) and Altura was a mistake. I plan on refinancing with my original credit union soon.Since I can’t seem to reply to Alturas’ reply I will edit my original review by adding to it.Altura no one said you can share the auto insurance I have. Now for 7 months I was charged auto insurance and Altura KNEW I was covered the issue that Altura had was that the address was incorrect as the lien holder. I had to connect Altura ( “3rd party”) TWICE. I did my job initially when I changed auto insurances and I was STILL charged all because altura could not connect with my auto insurance. I had to spend my time doing something that Altura should’ve done. Even my own auto insurance expressed to me that they never had an issue like this before. My auto insurance is a very well used auto insurance and has lots of experience with lien holders checking to ensure there is coverage on the automobile. The 3rd party and Altura should have done better. It shouldn’t have taken multiple phone calls, emails, and time spent at the branch. I shouldn’t have been charged in the first place knowing I was covered and all that was needed was the correct address.

Great location just off the 60 freeway from Moreno Beach exit in the Target plaza. This location is newly renovated. The decor and the furniture is very nice and everything is super clean and new. Best of all, I walked in and was greeted right away and received great fast service! Will be using this branch going forward for my banking needs.

I rec'd a text from Altura @5:15am that I didn't understand why. I called the main number 888-883-7228 & a young man answered the phone. (My concern about this would be very long to explain but for this review, that is not important.) He first, right off the bat advised it was a scam type and to disregard it...I explained that couldn't be due to the content. He checked on it and although I knew he was wrong, I do feel like he did the best he could. I decided to go to "my branch"; The Stoneridge Branch on Eucalyptus Ave. I walked in and was greeted with a smile by a young lady. I didn't get her name. She took my checks for deposit and took care of that and then I showed her the text and she agreed. She looked it up as best she could within her ability but she agreed we needed to dig deeper to make sure my account had not been compromised. She checked and set me up with speaking with the Asst. Branch Manager, Vanessa Segura. She was very patient and listened intently to my concerns. (I am very wordy & chatty...but I wanted to make sure she understood everything) She did just that!! She took some time and researched into all my accounts to see what actually happened. That didn't come up with any answers, but she agreed that the text didn't make sense. So she made some calls...to the right people/departments and SHE FIGURED IT OUT! I was SO relieved! It tuned to out to be from Altura and she provided me with all the info I needed and everything then made sense! Whew!Vanessa knew by my frantic actions that this was really important and I really needed answers about this. So she felt it was necessary to take the extra time and effort and find me the answers I needed. It's people like her that give me confidence to continue my banking at their branch! There are several branches around me but because of the great service....I choose the Stoneridge Branch on Eucalyptus Ave. Thank you for hiring employees with integrity!

I'm so irritated, I literally just joined this bank. I called 6 times cause I can't sent money through zelle. I was told I would be resolved within 24hours. Which it wasn't because someone forgot to do something. Now it asks me to verify who I am. And after doing so, it still doesn't work. I'm starting to believe my friends, that this bank is for old people that are behind in technology. Now I'm in the process of looking for a new bank

Always hard to do business. Nothing is easy or convenient. Opening another account. Been with them for over 20 years. Every time I need to deal with a person they may or may not do what you are asking. Anything is going to have a cost. Anything but cash is an “exception”. Free checking is the reason to come and to stay. Nothing else is special. I miss the days of Customer Appreciation days. Luckily needing to go inside doesn’t happen much.

Called to speak to a live person. The wait was 10 people ahead of me. I was prompted to leave a call back number and guaranteed a call back. It's been 3 days SMH. Terrible.

This is the Walmart of credit unions....I had a small business grant of 10k deposited into my account. I then visited the branch at 2692 Canyon Springs. I went inside and attempted to withdraw 6k while at the teller and I had the fraud department called on me and I was told (by Karen) because I don't have a business account this looks suspicious. My response was this is the very reason I don't have one. Needless to say my grant was sent back the the original agency that approved me. I then contacted the government agency that originally approved the grant and they suggested another bank. So to make a long story longer I used Navy Fed. And when the funds were sent the only thing they asked me is would you like small our large bills.

This credit Union sucks and unfortunately this review is to the whole organization and not just a location. 4 reasons why you should not bank here. 1. When me and my husband first joined he had a great credit score but lacked credit history. They said he could get one of their credit building cards that is prepaid and then they denied it to him. They do not help you with your credit. 2. The overdraft fees are ridiculous. Unfortunately one of our accounts fell short because of our budgeting (yes I know that's our fault) but this CU has no option for notifications letting you know about account balances to help with this. So instead of us being notified we were charged $29 over draft fees repeatedly. Which leads me to number 3. 3. The app absolutely sucks. When you open it it gives you a quick look at your accounts which says it includes all pending transactions and it definitely does not. The amounts shown there are completely wrong and were actually never right for us. With no notification options I'd give the app alone 0 stars. 4. Lastly the customer service phone hours are ridiculous. Monday through Friday business hours and a few hours on Saturday. Need help after hours? Too bad. Coming from Navy Federal Credit Union I can't believe how crappy this bank is. I recently pulled all of my money out of here and went back to Navy Fed and I suggest you find somewhere else to bank, as well. A great credit union takes care of their patrons by offering credit building options and actually giving them to you. They have 24 hour customer service hours where you get a live person on the phone to help you any time you call. Their app notifies you if your account falls below a certain preset amount and they have overdraft protection. Meaning they give you a certain amount you can overdraft to cover you just in case without charging you a fee. In Navy Federal's case it's a courtesy $500 that automatically gets repaid by your next direct deposit without ever charging you an overdraft fee. (And by the way, Altura offers overdraft protection but will still charge you the fee to use it). Please consider backing else where.

Recently applied for a signature loan. I just wasn't satisfied. What I needed wasn't provided and I do not understand. I can refinance a 400g house using my credit report, but that same report can't get me 15g from Altura. Never mind the fact I paid back the previous signature loan, Nevermind I've been a member for almost 20 years, Nevermind that my monthly income has doubled the last 2 years, Nevermind I recently paid of a significant about of debt so no I'm not satisfied at all. I'm not unreasonable, nor do I feel like I have a right to anything. But this just BS Bank BS...
