Dr. Crawford and Dr. Linda — we love both of them. They’re knowledgeable, empathetic, and just a pleasure to be around. We take our fur baby and moved my parent’s fur baby over to them. The staff are also extremely caring and always pleasant.

Dr. Crawford is amazing! And I've heard nothing but the best about Dr. Wong. The whole team at VCA Moraga are so incredibly kind and caring! You want nothing but the best for your fur baby, and so do they. They don't recommend unnecessary medications or procedures and that alone is why VCA Moraga and their team is top notch!

New with our 2 large breed puppies. After scheduling received couple of calls and txts regarding history records. Felt very confident from the moment we walked in till we walked out of the clinic. Very respectful staff and well done checkups.

This place is wonderful, the only reason we stopped coming is because it's too far for us now :(My newly adopted dog's spay incision site got infected and they were able to see her the next day. Dr. Crawford is THE BEST! She was so caring with my dog, and asked for daily photo updates to make sure the wound was healing properly with the help of antibiotics.I felt so terrible my dog's incision site got infected but Dr. Crawford was very reassuring and told me that I wasn't a bad dog parent, things just happen. That really meant a lot to me.This is a great place, all of the staff were nice, professional, and seemed to really care about the animals. Definitely recommend!Edit: as far as prices, it seemed reasonable. I had a voucher from TLARF but I did still have to pay a bit out of pocket as well. The itemized receipt I received seemed fair to me.

This place is great. I was able to book an appointment quickly to get my old lady cat (Bacon) taken in for some tests. Dr Crawford, and the staff (Liz) were extremely friendly, and explained all the tests in details. The entire team was super communicative, and would send updates and reminders. The place was clean with all safeguards in place. The tests were quick, and when we got home Bacon was back to normal, no stress at all - shocking after a vet visit. If you're looking for a local vet, I'd def reach out while they're still accepting new patients.

We love Dr Crawford, Dr Wong and the team, especially the Front desk ladies (they are so gracious and always helpful). The #1 we like about this clinic is how organized they are, whenever we ask for our pets' records, the paperwork would be sent within 5 minutes. Don't underestimate how convenient that would be for you - especially if you want to submit a claim for your pet insurance. Our pets also show less distress when we take them here. They don't just take your pets to "the back" only to be ignored for a long time. They will make sure the examination is done in the patient room with the owners in it. Thank you CCVH team!

Honestly BEST vet ever! My Frenchie is 11 and we moved from Hawaii to the Bay Area in 2018 and had some challenges finding a vet initially in the east bay. Wanted someone that listens to my concerns and is honest about risks/benefits/cost/prioritizing issues and just wasn't finding it. Kept being brushed off by vets that they knew better when I know my dog and her many issues. If something isn't broke, don't fix it! Why change a routine med (Cadi shot for allergies for example) if it has been working for years??Came across Dr Crawford when my dog needed teeth extracted and I was so nervous about the prolonged anesthesia and seeking an experienced vet. My intuition at my previous vet was saying he didn't know what he was doing and wouldn't answer my questions. Dr C put me at ease more than any vet. Turned out the dental specialist in the area had a last minute opening so we went to them for this but wouldn't have hesitated to have Dr C do it. Since then, I've even moved again (25 min away now from less than 10) but I still make the drive to keep them as our primary. They make every effort to squeeze you in if your fur baby is under the weather before having to make a trip to the ER (within reason). I'm blown away by them. Dr Crawford, Dr Wong and the entire team are incredible. Id give them 100 stars if I could.

Seriously probably the best place for new puppy ownership. Their VCA care program is awesome, especially because every small problem is easily corrected and it's a huge relief to not worry about the cost because ultimately everything is quite affordable. The Vets and the techs are literally the best, and exceptional. My other dog goes to the Bay Area VCA but the VCA techs at contra go well above and beyond what's required each and every visit. They literally always clean up my boy even for the smallest of visits. They saved his life when he had an extreme allergic reaction after his leptospirosis vaccine, they treat him and cleaned him up cleaner than I've ever cleaned him. I also go to the Bay Area VCA, and it's not bad, but if you want personal care where all the vets and techs know your dog, then contra costa is the vet for you.

I would highly recommend avoiding the VCAs, they are often the most convenient with a broader schedule, but the services are expensive and the primary goal is to lock you in a yearly plan that is “discounted” from already overpriced services. The reception has mis-scheduled me for appointments, messing up my vaccine timeline. The package feels flexible, but I have found it impossible to get in with any meaningful timeline when my dog has experienced issues.Overall, speaking with the Vet herself was a frustrating experience who told me to find another vet if I wasn’t happy with how they were treating me. I wasn’t. Save yourself time, money, and frustration and choose another service.

Update: It was nice for the business to respond below and save face, I emailed them saying I stand by my review and haven't heard anything back in two weeks... don't know what I expected. Though my visit was with Dr. Crawford, Dr. Wong had also reviewed my cat's profile over the weekend and then followed up weekly until illness starting to get better. They are indeed good vets, not one of those squeeze money out of you whenever they could like many others. Highly recommanded.

This is one of the best vets I’ve ever been to—they key is that they actually care. I took my dog to Dr. Pindar since the moment I got my puppy until I had to move out of state a few years ago. When my dog had emergencies or needed a little extra care they went up and beyond. Making calls and checking on her. Since moving I have had nothing but horrible experiences with vets. All are more interested in the money they can get, and none have done the follow up calls or show any level of care about my animals’ wellbeing. And none have come close to the high level care and concern that is found at Contra Costa. If I could I would fly my dog back to see them for every need. A good vet is hard to come by, an amazing one almost impossible— this is one of those rare places and people.
