Moraga Shopping Center, 1355 Moraga Way, Moraga“My husband and I always go here. We normally buy at Costco for bigger bottles and to save more. However sometimes we're too lazy or we don't have a budget to go there lol I always buy my cigarettes and lotto here too. The staff and owners are really nice. Theyve been here several years now. I recommend this store.”

“Neighborhood Corner & Liquor Store is a mainstay on MacArthur and staffed with helpful and friendly folks. Good Sëlection of wares behind the counter and not.”
“I'd first heard about this place from Dr. Dave Jalen about 13 years ago. As a guy that doesn't drink, doesn't buy wine, and isn't very fancy...I'm at a loss about anything alcoholic. Wine scares me. Dan has been my trusted advisor for the past 13 years. He's not only provided me very solid recommendations (with a 100% appreciation rate), he has also helped me buy some legendary wine for some dental legends (Dr. Carl Misch (Dentist to pope John Paul, RIP), Dr. Jeff Brucia). Some of his wines are impossible to get, even for the dentist of the pope. Thanks, Dan!”
8:30AM - 10:30PM
Castro Valley“What can I say about this place that has not already been said. Hands down the best place to get your hands on craft brew from breweries all over. Their selection is always phenomenal. The only way to get a fresher selection would be to go directly to the source. Everyone at the store is so friendly and welcoming. If you have any questions regarding your selection they are always willing to help.”
9AM - 9PM
3524 Mount Diablo Blvd # A, Lafayette“I've now been to 2 of Jackson's affiliated liquor stores; each has knowledgeable staff and a good selection of beers and spirits. I go for the bourbons and stouts and am never disappointed in the selection. be prepared to pay a bit of a premium, but know they have some choices not found at competing local stores. I will definitely continue to shop there.”
“I live in Portland and I needed to buy a Holiday gift for my daughter and daughter in law, who live in Oakland, very close to your store. I called and spoke to Adriana who was lovely and so helpful. Adriana took care of everything and then called me to follow up. Excellent Service! Made my day!!! THANK YOU!!!”

“Open late until 2am, carry huge selection of liquor and wines, mixers, sodas, groceries you'd expect from your neighborhood convenience store and the guys behind the counter are always professional and courteous. The reason I give it a four and not a five star is parking can be a huge challenge.”
“Alkali Rye isn't what I'd consider your "normal" liquor store. They have a wide selection of wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks (coffee, teas, etc.) and other items that are more unique that going to a normal liquor store. They really try to feature women-owned/people of color-owned businesses as well as local businesses. They have a range of different priced items to match different occasions. When I've been the owners and staff seem pretty knowledgeable about the different items and have helped me and others to make good recommendations and not just trying to upsell the most expensive items.I'm a whiskey fan, so I'll put it this way, if you just want a bottle of Jack and Jim, you probably wouldn't go here. But if you want a good bottle that you couldn't get at a Safeway, come here!”
9AM - 8:30PM
1420 Encinal Ave, Alameda“When you need a fresh fruits and veggie pick-up during the middle of the week and don’t want to deal with the hassle of going all the way to Safeway this place is great especially if you’re within walking distance. They don’t jack up the prices here either the prices you get here for fruits and veggies is the same as Safeway.”

“Shame on me for not posting a review of this place earlier. I love Oakland Yard and have been a loyal customer and wine club member for years. The space is beautiful, clean, refreshing, and the wines reasonably priced and wonderfully curated. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and unpretentious. Ask questions and you'll be guided well. Want to browse on your own? They'll respect your space. They host events and pop-ups from budding chefs that enrich the neighborhood and are such a lovely community hub. You can even bring your Tacos Oscar order. I don't know what else to say other than this is the gold standard for neighborhood wine shops. Oakland Yard forever!”

This is a family operated business and they have, liquor, wine, snacks, t-shirts, ice cream, and much more.Whatever they don't carry, they go above and beyond to order it for you. 4875 Telegraph Ave, Oakland“Extremely friendly and helpful. Held last bottle of one brand of liqueur after I called to see whether they had it, without my asking them to hold it. Good prices for a neighborhood retail store.”
“This is THE spot to go if you need cigarettes, an adult or any other beverage, & any other random thing you may need or didn't know you wanted. This place is run by good, hard-working guys & it functions how a good business should. They recognize me as "Kamels with a 'K' guy." I just so happen so smoke Kamel Red Lights, & my name starts with a 'K. I'm kool with that. I once asked if they had candles by chance; for a vigil I was holding. I didn't see any on the floor, but it never hurts to ask. Some emergency candles were brought out”
“This is a great place the owner is the nicest person you can meet and you never leave feeling like you could have got your cigar cheaper somewhere else. This by far is my favorite cigar shop”

4301 Market St, Oakland“Very friendley bring your dogs in. Very nice owner respectful and sell alot of foods Drinks Candy Dog food Cat food soup sodasLunch meat bread all the little things you might need”
“Friendly and knowledgeable help, a nice selection at multiple price points, and good value make this a very solid neighborhood wine shop. Would be proud to have it on my street, that's for sure. On this night I was going to a freind's house for venison and he pulled out two Mourvèdre heavy wines that were both great with the dinner. Not very expensive either. I even questioned if they were going to be the best wine I could get for this dinner and they did not try to upsell me to a pricier bottle that would not have been as good with the food. Integrity like that keeps people coming back and makes better long term value for everyone. Wish I found it everywhere, but regardless, very happy to have found it here, and I will return. Best, Paul”
