I bought their top heater and it continually is broke. It is less than a year old. The gas heart exchange is not working. And needs replacement. We submitted for warranty. They sent the warranty servicer the wrong part now they tell us the part is on back order and they cannot tell us when to expect it (days, months...who knows) we requested they then replace the entire heater. They originally denied that without telling us. We have asked for that again. They several times have said they will call me back and they never do. Now we are going into Thanksgiving and they are causing me to deal with lots of complaints from people that have traveled expecting to use the heated pool/spa and I'm having to pay them money for their inconvenience.

My pool built was completed1/2021. We are in 10/2023 and I've had to change all 3 of my pool light they all went bad. Thank God that they were still under the 3 year warranty. How can you sell a product for +/- $400.00 and the product only less than 3 years. My buddy has the same lights and had the same issues. Definitely dont recommend pentair. Hopefully their pool pump and chlorinator dont have the same problem.

I was selling over 100k of Pentair products and switching over to Jandy. All do to Pentairs terrible customer service.

Very dissatisfied that for the price of their products, mine did not last much longer than the warranty even though it was well cared for. Reached out to Pentair-will not give any concessions. I wish I had known that the motor in the prowler vacuum would only last 4 years, I would have purchased a different brand. Doing the math on $1300 cost versus 4 years of use-terrible.Especially if you only use it 5 months of the year.

Pentair Model 460732We have had this model for about 5 years. We were having a problem, we set it to 88 and it dropped to 86. We brought our pool repair person in. When he set the temperature up over 86 to see what the problem was, the unit blew up! There was a recall on this model before we bought ours for the same reason we found out. We contacted Pentair. They said basically it was not their problem! We wrote back to them, then they ghosted us. We have a Pentair control panel and all Pentair equipment as we upgraded everything.. Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed. The last heater we had lasted 25 years. 5 years on a $3000 heater is crazy. We have to get a new one and it will not be a Pentair if we can help it.

Purchased a new pool pump through Leslie's last summer. The pump was on back order and I didn't receive it until the end of the season. Left it in the box and installed it this season. Hired an electrician to wire it up and the pump runs for about 5 seconds and get's an error. I called Leslie's and they told me to call Pentair for help. Pentair has been no help and neither are their so called local Pool experts. I spent over $3,000 on the top of the line pump and so far it isn't working and I can't get any help.

Intellichlor40WHEN it works it is great.Problem is the warranty is two years and these things (I have bought 4 of them in 12 years) just do not reliably last.More problems: you have to have a power supply for the thing and that can go bad too. Want to switch brands, then you will need a new power supply as well.For something that cost me 1400 to have installed by my pool company, it ought to last longer than four weeks past the warranty expiration.Talk to Pentair? They quote you the user manual. That's some customer service. The last salt water pool chlorine generator I just bought will literally be the last one I ever buy from Pentair.Stick with chlorine or try a different company.

Their equipment does not hold up to use and their support is nonexistent. Spent 2.5 hours on hold today trying to get a part number for a hose. Recording came on during the music, said they were closed and hung up on me. I’m certain the ppl who work here don’t care about the horrible service and sub-standard chinese products they sell. This is one pool owner who is fed up with massively inflated prices for cheap chinese garbage and crummy nonexistent support. I’m throwing a tablet in a floater. Wish I could say it was a pleasure doing business but not. One more headache gone from my life.

Pent Air's cus support is the worst I have ever experience. I filled out a claim for help and I have not heard from anyone in three weeks. They have also ignored my pool supplier. Seems they are totally incompeten.Robert Bartlett June 2023

I initially was very happy with the ichlor 30. After a year and a half the unit went bad. They send a replacement and it lasted a day and a year and stopped working again. I was told to replace the flow switch at my cost and it would take care of the problem. I did so and it still didn't work. Now the 10 amp fuse keeps blowing. I called to get help and they sent me a flow switch. They say the product is out of warranty and they already handled the problem. Two ichlor 30 units that go bad in the span of less than 3 years. They tell me again it is out of warranty and that is the end of it. There is obviously an inherent problem with this Ichlor 30 and they will not stand behind their product. Left in a pool that I have to use chlorine in again. Totally disgusted with the way this company handled this and again won't back up what they sell. Stay away from this company.

This company is the worst. As you can see by the other reviews, their products fail more often than they work. But my issue is that it is impossible to get anyone on the phone. When you call, there's always a wait, but as you are sitting on hold the wait time it just continues to increase. I started at a one minute wait and it continued to increase. I finally hung up angler bring on hold for 37 minutes and the the automated system was at the 51 minute point (which again, started at one minute).DO NOT PURCHASE

Do not buy anything from this company. Awful warranty service. $1,000 for a pump that lasted 6 months under light use. I had a beautiful pool that is now a frog pond. Words cannot express my ire.
