i had my snake aquamated through moorpark vet, and all of the staff were incredibly accomodating and caring throughout the entire process. responses and callbacks were fast, and it took me just over 2 weeks to receive my ashes, which were thoughtfully packed along with a cute wooden plaque with my snake’s imprint on it and a certificate. the process was so smooth which really eased me, and i couldn’t recommend them enough.
the aquamation itself was done through peaceful pets aquamation, which is where moorpark vet does all of their aquamations, so i also absolutely recommend them as well.

We're new to this Vet, and unfortunately, we've already had to visit 3 times in a short amount of time. Fortunately, they have been absolutely phenomenal with addressing my concerns. They are also super patient and kind with my dog, who can be more than a little hesitant around new people. Fingers crossed that we keep are visits down, but I'm happy to have found a vet that I feel confident in.

My dog was a "new" patient. She was treated quickly, compassionately, and effectively. The Vet and staff were clear and patient, explaining what they recommended and why.

Shockingly terrible service. I took my cat in about 3 weeks ago because she had lost a lot of weight and had breathing issues. The first gal who took me into the room was very kind and loving towards me and my cat... then the doctor came in. I felt like she truly could care less about what I told her, then proceeded to tell me I needed to get xrays, swabs, bloodwork, shots, and more done. I said fine - just figure out whats wrong with my cat. This was all to the tune of over $1300.
About 20 minutes later the office staff brought my cat back out front to me... the doctor didnt even come out. I was told that she has some asthma and to YOUTUBE HOW TO GIVE MY CAT AN INHALER. I thought okay... maybe this is normal and I will get more info when the doctor calls me back with the other results.
Today was 3 weeks after my appointment and I still hadnt heard anything from them, so I called back and was told my cat also has hyperthyroidism (once again, NOT from a doctor but from the office staff). I was then told they would text me a link to a website and once i figured out what treatment I wanted to call them back... WHAT?!?!?!
I have never had a vet refuse to talk to me not once, but TWICE. And TWICE refer me to web resources instead of actually SPEAKING TO ME. I am going to be calling my credit card company to discuss charging back the insane cost I paid for absolutely no service. I should have never left Dr. Gonda!!

Dr. Sweitzer is our absolute favorite He takes amazing care of One of our cats who has many health issues, as well as our pup. Everyone is friendly and helpful, I recommended friends and extended family many of whom are also going to MoorPark veterinary Hospital to see him now!

The entire staff is so wonderful. They are caring, patient and interested in helping. They seem like a group of people who like their jobs, which is hard to find these days. Dr. Sweitzer was so amazingly compassionate when we had to make hard choices with our beloved Waffles. We've never had a vet that was so worried about our pet and us. We will always choose Moorpark Veterinary.

Concerns: Exotic Pet Expertise Took my two rabbits for an initial wellness exam and vaccine series three weeks ago. I was impressed with the hospitality, documentation and staff friendliness. I was told Sigmund and Toby were in great health. Especially Toby, my 9 year old rabbit. When we returned for the second dosing of vaccine (three weeks later) - I was informed that Toby had a fever and needed to be rescheduled. (Rabbits usually have a lifespan window of 8-12 hours for treatment for best survival outcome). No further treatment or recommendations provided. I was informed the doctor was in a procedure, Toby was not well enough to take the vaccine, but "well-enough" to be send home without treatment recommendations. Relying on the expertise of Moorpark Vet (specializing in exotic animals) I awaited until morning and made the decision to return to Moorpark Vet. Unfortunately, it was too late and the lack of communication and negligent care resulted in the loss of my 9 year old Toby. After my experience and reading a yelp review sharing a similar experience of rabbit loss last year-I would not recommend exotic pets be treated at Moorpark Veterinary. Condolences were provided by management-however, this lapse in care caused irreversible outcomes.

From the moment we drove up we felt like they truly cared. We've had a few exotic vets in just one year and each one has stopped seeing exotics so when we needed one again we decided to check out Moorpark! The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The vet seemed very knowledgeable about Guinea pigs and was willing to educate us on what was going on with our sweet Cosmo. As well as giving us references to read up more for ourselves. The pricing seemed pretty standard. I used to work at veterinary office and I've had pets a long time so I've seen a lot of vet bills over the years. It all seemed necessary and manageable within our budget. We always expect the worse with the exotic pet bills so it was nice for things to be on the lower end of things. I truly believe we will be back with our other babies and recommend giving this place a try! Lastly I just wanted to say, if you had a negative experience at any vet remember what these individuals who work with animals see and deal with on a daily basis. It's not all puppies and kittens. They are humans too. They have a lot on their shoulders.

Seriously the best place you can take your pet for care! My dog was injured at the groomers, and our typical vet office wasn't answering. Moorpark Vet Hospital was able to calm my nerves over the phone and get my dog in right away. They were able to do a same day procedure. Jenn handled him so well (he was very nervous). When Dr. Barrett arrived she had such a calm demeanor, and explained things thoroughly. Front staff were helpful and caring, seriously VIP treatment! He had to come in for a series of post op appointments. They were able to call/text me when he was ready on the occasions I had to step out, and when I was in there all of the office girls were so sweet chatting with. Tikis name on the welcome board was such a cute touch as well. Pricing is on par with typical vet fees, and they were able to work within my budget. On his latest visit, Tiki stopped in his tracks and didn't want to leave! I've officially switched him here as his vet family!
