I called to ask a few simple questions about their supply of hay this morning. The guy who answered literally hung up on me before I could finish speaking to him. Absolutely awful. This was my first contact with Moorpark Hay Co, and I'll absolutely stay with my current feed supplier because of this interaction. Why are people so rude?

We needed a solution to the 12 x 4' of pet sod we have on our patio. The guy was so helpful. He suggested this already deodorized chicken coop shreds and cedar wood chips to put under the per sod. Problem solved!

I just checked their info and it says open. I called only to be told they are closed till the 27th. Thank the lord I plan ahead as well as call before going anywhere or needing anything.

If you don't want to read all this. Just call him. Now. Don't change your mind. Don't research anywhere else. DO IT. Hashtag no regrets. My sheep can't get enough of this hay. I Switched from another local feed store (huge promoter of small businesses) and was extremely disappointed with XYZ's quality of hay. At the time, I happened to be boarding at a place who also used Joe. I kept telling myself that it was just a matter of, the grass is always greener on the other side, when I saw their hay shipment. I often fed their horses in the AM so it was totally rubbed in!l my face. But as you animal people know we have loyalties to companies etc etc. Until I realized, Joe's hay really was SO much greener than the hay (could I even call it that?) I was wasting a fortune on. So I switched to Joe-- I mean, how could you not!? The delivery is even included in his hay price! Let me tell you! Working with Joe!? Man! Friendly has gotta be an understatement, let me tell ya. As a local business, Joe strives to meet not only the basic needs of his customers, but he absolutely goes above and beyond to meet any other requests you have or answer any other concerns you have for your animals and meet them within reason. What I love about Joe is that when he says he's going to deliver, you can bet your finest donkey he will be there and if not, he always has met his due diligence in contacting me and letting me know the status of my order otherwise. One tip is to Always be sure to have an exact location prior to the order if you want your needs met. You can get creative and use that paint program in your iphone after your have snapped a picture. Color away. Chart out a map. Whatever! Just Be sure to text it to him within the deadline he provides and it will literally be perfect. every. time. Not sure how a one man show manages to juggle all of us animal people, run a business, keep things in order and remember them, be a great person at heart, and stay sane at the same time, but this guy does it.
