Called ahead to get the price for a new propane tank. After clarifying I was interested in a new tank not a refill or swap I was told $69.99. Upon arriving there I see they had a sale on refills. Went to the register and asked for a new tank. The total was $108. Way over what was said on the phone. They tried to say it was $69.99 for the refill! That is more than double what most places charge for a refill. Plus that is supposedly their sale price. Went to Ace for a new tank which was only $65.

I just stopped here for a coffee while getting my oil change next door & I was so surprised when I walked inside the food mart! It was so sparkling clean, super organized & bright! Definitely a change from your usual food mart at a gas station. They have a ton of great iced & hot coffee options for when you're on the go, among tons of other drinks & snacks. Also, the man at the counter was extremely personable & went out of his way to make personal connections with all of the customers while being quick & efficient!

I went inside the store of the 76 gas station to purchase $40 worth of gas and a scratcher ticket. When I interacted with the clerk he told me that "I needed to be 18 years or older to purchase a scratcher ticket and would need an ID." I told him that my ID is in my car and I'll go grab it. When I came back with it, he began to inspect it for a while and made a weird face. While he was ringing me up I asked him, "why did you ask for my ID?" He said "I thought you weren't 18." I asked, "is that something that you ask everyone for while they purchase a scratcher ticket?" He said "no, just the ones who don't look old enough." He then began to compare me to a customer standing behind me saying "see look behind you, if that guy were to buy a ticket I would sell it to him without checking his ID because he looks older." I told him how "that's not fair and that he should enforce the same policies to every customer, and not just me." I told him how "I don't appreciate being treated this way." And he said "I don't appreciate how you are acting and that I need to leave!" I told him that I don't want the scratcher ticket anymore because of how this is being handled and he refunded me for it. I am well over the age that he thought I was, and should not have been subjected to this kind of treatment. I was compliant when he asked for my ID and provided it to him. It was completely inappropriate for the clerk to continuously mention the parameters of my age and how "I didn't look it" despite him seeing my identification card, containing my current age and while comparing my circumstance to another customer. I was discriminated at this facility for my age! I won't be returning here ever again!!! The reason for this post was because I don't want this to happen to anyone else and I am standing up for myself. This wasn't essentially about the scratcher ticket but the demeanor of the clerk and the hostile attitude he projected towards me.

Stopped here for refreshments and a bathroom break. The bathrooms were extremely clean and spotless, and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely make this a routine stop while traveling.

November 2020 by Robert Skelly
I am Robert Christopher Skelly, or Chris, age 53.Moorpark is my hometown.I lived there from year 1967 to Spring season year 1971. Moved to Oklahoma in 1971, although I did return to a second residential address, again on Second Street on the year 1973.I am not living in Oklahoma now.My paternal uncle worked many years at this address, he was Wallace Preston Skelly.I have not been to Moorpark since the year 2009, although I have thought of going there, although I do not have anything here in Bakersfield, CA., U.S.A. to have and hold affordably of my very own, that could get me there. The same can be said that I do not have anything to have and to hold affordably of my very own, in Moorpark, CA., U.S.A., an affordable means of owning land and a dwelling, not a renter as I am, it being the 8th address here locally in Bakersfield, CA., U.S.A., since the year 1985.I became developmentally and learning disabled on October 2nd, 1984, when I was still developing and growing, and I am no longer my full stature height of 6 feet 3 inches, as I was. The disabilities are real lifelong labor, although my adapting is fully effective, I cannot change being disabled as I am, this many years.I became a whole, fully effective dose filter, of what I was supposed to believe was a safeguard combination shot, an M.M.R.. This happened in Chickasha, OK., on 10/02/1984. After the shot, I had intense Tinnitus AND NOT Hypoglycemia, which what my paternal cousin, Carthel Skelly-Mercado from Moorpark had at some time. Tinnitus was in both ears and it was temporary, however, it has come back to my left ear, there daily, every single day since about March 24th, 2010.The other thing I got from that shot was a temporary loss of vision.I would like to visit this place as a generous customer someday, and I am glad to know that organic foods are there, I have noticed from the photos. If I was a regular customer there, a minimum of once or twice weekly, I would like to know that some of these things just might be available there:Penguin Dry Ice, or any Dry Ice.Organic Pine Nuts, fresh.Moorpark area pamphlet paper maps, I am a cartographer, excellent penmanship.American flags, and others as I was born on 10/24/1967, which four years later also became United Nations Day, still is.My brother was also from Moorpark, STEVEN GENE SKELLY (11/17/1948-11/13/1969), died in Vietnam War conflict. Our parents are now also gone, JOHN PRESTLEY (SKELLY) ()[05/07/1925-10/16/1998], and WANDA LEE (DAVIS) SKELLY ADAMS ROCCO[07/07/1927-01/14/2020].I was and am the very last that they could make, their final production.I am original.
