If ur a prime member, I highly recommend checking this place out. Some of the prices are a bit higher than my usual grocery store, but the prime prices are nice. They also have fresh food and package pick up and returns which is an added bonus. The cashier was very friendly and even scanned a coupon for us as well. Over all very satisfied.

I went to Amazon and made a cash transaction and unfortunately did not get my receipt. I purchased some pepper jack sliced cheese which isn’t supposed to expire until August ( it’s late June). I ate a piece and noticed it tasted funny and when I looked down I saw the mold. It kind of blended in with the chili flakes of the cheese so I think that’s how I missed it. It was very gross I immediately threw up!! Super gross! Not sure what’s going on if they’re letting shipments sit out unrefrigerated but that’s a health code violation! Please examine your dairy products, meats and produce. Customer service couldn’t do anything or connect me to the manager of the location because they needed a whole lot of information such has product numbers, etc which I did not have. As mentioned I did a cash transaction and did not use my Amazon account info .

The store is still going through its beta phase but was fun to experience and has real possibilities. The rotisserie chicken was great ? some items were extremely low priced that were on special and they had pricey high end items as well.

It was a rough start for the Just Walk Out technology. There was a disconnect between the cameras and AI. Mistakes on the receipts were common. Cust. service was lackluster. Then, gradually the system got better and better and the online receipt was much quicker (same day). At least at the Moorpark store, cust. service became much better than most grocery stores. The whole system had turned the corner from not wanting to shop there to looking forward to the experience. Now: The official word is out, the Just Walk Out stores will be phased out and Amazon will make more money by selling the technology to other companies. My opinion is Amazon has enough resources to not drop the Just Walk Out ASAP. I don’t think they have given the proper time period for a new, rather radical technology, to catch on with customers. What’s the hurry? Amazon’s profit from retail stores is infinitesimal compared to investments, real estate and online sales; why are they physically removing very costly AI/camera hardware and going backwards with checkout lines and antiquated ‘smart carts’? I worked at Fresh store years ago that had those carts and long lines to boot. There is a very small percentage of customers that love the carts and don’t find the carts clumsy, heavy and not all that easy to use. Im certain Amazon would say they have improved the carts, but checkout can not be as quick and easy as the Just Walk Out system. Probably one in ten customers who tried the carts the first time, disliked the experience, and often the carts were not loaded correctly leading to a conflict where the customer had to take the cart to the checker anyways. Business-wise, I don’t understand going from a technology that’s superior and working well, to backing up and going in reverse? Why would a business purchase the Just Walk Out technology from Amazon when Amazon dumped the system? Hmmmm

Love the produce, prices aren't too bad, could have more variety, I enjoy the walk out feature and how there are never a lot of people all over. I would recommend this store.
