I can't believe with all the negative reviews that someone, a manager perhaps, has not made improvements to this store. So here is one more negative comment. Today I returned an item that was in the wrong section, therefore the wrong price. I find this to be true with many things in that store. Do not trust a price that you see indicated on the shelf. It's hard to figure out what something costs because nothing is priced individually and so many items have been misplaced, so read the shelf tags very carefully. And when I returned it today, the cashier barely opened her mouth to say, "I'm so sorry for your trouble. I'm so sorry you had to make a separate trip down here". A robot would have been more courteous. The time before this trip they totally screwed up my husband's Medicare card. I had to wait about 45 minutes to get a vaccination and he was denied his vaccination. I don't see how this store stays in business other than its convenient location. I've read a lot of comments about Peter being the best pharmacist. Where is Peter? If he's not there could you please bring him back because this store needs help.

My debit card was hacked after purchasing from here and the staff was very unfriendly and unprofessional.

Conveniently located in downtown Monterey, this is a good stop for us when we're on a Monterey trip and need to get some staple items, like water or toiletries. It's never that crowded here and we're able to easily find what we need. Con is that there are usually homeless people on the street right outside which can be a little off putting, especially when you have young children with you.

A phone call would be nice when they fill your online order and don't have the exact item you purchased on line. What difference does it make of it is tissues? You guys sell several brands and boxes of them , pick one call your customer. Lazy.

Convenient location, walking distance to hotels, decent selection of basic products if you are from out of town and forget something. Super rude customer service by cashier.

Since Peter the pharmacist has left , this place has definitely gone downhill. Long waits for medication. Saying they call the doctors for refills when they haven't ! I'm done !

Terrible, terrible pharmacy! I used to go out of my way to come here because the pharmacist Peter was so amazing and he always made sure that I was able to get my medications on time. The last two weeks, though, I have not been able to get any of my medication‘s at all. Peter is gone and apparently they are not filling certain medications anymore, but they did not notify me of this, and no, none of these are controlled substances. Some of them are very common generics. I received multiple different stories from people as to when my medications would be available, only to finally be told that they’re not going to order certain medications anymore because not enough people order them. This terrible customer service coupled with the fact there is no handicap parking and no drive-through, I’m switching all my prescriptions. I’m never setting foot it in the store again.

My husband and I got our Covid shots here! The pharmacist took us early and took us at the same time. Painless! The cashier at the pharmacy was patient and helpful! Five stars. New Covid vaccination cards were handed to us I requested.

Every single time, the wait is forever...if they help you at all. Polite, but slow and pathetic. And they are only open 7.5 hours per day. Go to CVS!

This store exceeds expectations. I have my orders delivered and it's all so fast and easy. This store has stock in store and use Door Dash so orders typically arrive in far less than an hour. A big plus is the staff understands how to use the Walgreens app to communicate with me, manage prescription refills, etc. They work smart, reduce waste and impress every time. Conversely, when I shopped the Seaside store (as I did for years and years and years...) they very rarely had stock in hand, were severely understaffed, couldn't figure out the app functions and delivered items via three day FedEx. Order three prescriptions? They ship them separately. Not smart, wasteful and frustrating. What a mess. Walgreen's on Alvarado is a gem.

Very convenient location, but it's completely meaningless if you "Close at 8:45 tonight" instead of 9:00. Several people outside were stunned and troubled. Not cool at all.

If i could give them zero stars i would… don’t rely on this store for your prescriptions at all. They have screwed up my prescription every month. Please take review into consideration if you want your prescription ready on time
