Parking in front, off the busy main road, lots of food options and a Trader Joe's within walking distance. Driving distance, within 10 mins, of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Denise the Menace playground park, and plenty of beaches. The rooms themselves were clean, fresh, with comfortable beds and bathroom.

No complaints in regards to the customer service, room or bathroom. It was a pleasant stay. For us, we like a firmer bed, so the bed was a little soft for our liking. The location is on a busier road, but the noise wasn't too bad.

*Do not stay here if you are a light sleeper* I am still giving this place 4 stars because it was clean and they had decent service when I needed to move rooms. However, you can hear every single step the person above you takes. And your mattress may as well be laying in the parking lot for how loud the cars and motorcycles sound when they pass by. There is zero sound proofing of the rooms, doors or windows. See photo for how big of a gap there is even when the door is closed and locked. Since these rooms are less than 20 meters from a major 4 lane road, there needs to be some sound proofing.

Lovely place and outstanding value - very quaint room that was well appointed and even had a fireplace. The man at the front desk was super kind and helpful. He let us check in late via a key stashed in a lockbox, ensured the Tesla charging parking space was available for us, and offered us coffee in the morning. Will certainly stay again if travel brings me back to that neck of the woods.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel literally the closest one to all beaches, restaurants, fisherman's wharf walking distance. Very quiant and staff super polite, will be coming back to stay here next visit.Walkability: Close to restaurants and entertainment

No complaints! Our downstairs room was very clean and we didn't hear much of our upstairs neighbors or traffic. The bathroom could be considered small, but it was very well maintained and had relatively modern amenities. Water pressure was just okay. It was really SO clean, so of course, no bedbugs or any other nasty surprises, the cleanliness was the best part. There was no air conditioning, but we visited during summer and had no issues. Monterey never gets very hot, and there is a rotating fan if the room gets stuffy. We were able to easily walk to Old Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row which was very convenient to avoid the headache of parking. Both walks are very scenic and accessible. The area felt very safe walking back at night and the actual building was nice. One of the cheaper options in the area and one of the best little inns I've ever stayed at. Would definitely stay again!

Classic, basic motel room. Convenient to downtown, if slightly removed. Very well maintained and managed, tidy, ship-shape, gracious and accommodating as motels go.
