How my people when they step into this place promises a lot but in reality it is still the same style, there is no that Mexican identity. The meat was very dry, I thought it was jerky!!!

Perfect food, kind staff!!
I visited here with my father and wanted to eat something spicy and coming here was the best choice.
I like to eat Mexican food a lot but this restaurant food was much better than San Diego famous Mexican restaurants.
I had classic burrito and molcajete michoacano and I can guarantee that you will never disappoint.
I will visit here again next time so I hope this restaurant stays famous until then ~

Joel was very good and attentive waiter. Came in around 5:00 p.m. on a Wednesday. All the food was well seasoned and ready to eat. Everything seemed fresh and house made. House made corn tortillas were the bomb. Horchata was very good. Margarita seems fresh made, light and tasty. Kids enjoyed the food. Will be back, seems like a good local place.
Vegetarian options: There was a section on the menu that looked good, but I went surf & turf.

Came from Modesto to Monterey for a day trip. Went to Alvarado Street to find something to eat before heading back & Luckily it was insanely busy and we stumbled across this hidden gem. Poblano tacos were ?. Handmade tortillas ?
If you’re in Monterey YOU GOTTA STOP BY!

Ate here a couple of days ago. Food was very good: freshly made, hot, and very tasty. Friendly waitress. Reasonable prices. Will come back when I return to town.

Just finished having lunch at Casa del Sazón with by family while on vacation and overall I had a very enjoyable meal. Our waiter was friendly and attentive throughout the visit and made us feel welcomed. I had the Mariscos Don Beto which I believe is one of their specials. While I enjoyed the variety of seafood, the top layer was sadly burned so the flavors were hidden by that. I used the provided salsa and that saved the dish for me. Handmade tortillas were great. My wife has the 2 taco plate with carnitas and that was very salty. Again, the salsa saved the dish. The winner of the meal was the horchata which was the best one I've ever had.

Pleasantly surprised! We came right after what looked like a lunch rush and wasn’t sure about the food based on how it looked inside. But what we found was actually some of the best Mexican food! Personally I don’t love greasy Mexican that makes you feel bloated afterwards but the food tasted very fresh and not at all greasy like. I recommend the southwest salad bowl.

The place is nice but really dirty tables and surfaces. Poor customer service, cold food and cafe. First time and last I’m sorry for the owner investment.

The food is delicious in this place, the name of the restaurant honors the food, I recommend it.
