Eh. When it works it works, but we've had to call several times over the course of 6 months for downed or compromised servers causing non-working emails. maybe 10 years ago, it was ok but we rely so much on electronic communication today and likely indefinitely that it can literally make or break business deals.

Spotty internet with a very slow connection in my prior area. Switched when I moved and service is way faster with ATT. Customer service never returned my call regarding the final bill despite numerous calls. When I finally spoke to someone, the customer service was less than optimal. If you terminate any day after the start of the month, plan on paying for the entire month... they do not prorate even though they are no longer providing service if you stay any day past the first. Definitely faster and far better options available. I would not recommend them for service.

This is the worst company in the world. Blatant misrepresentation of their products. Slower than dial up speeds. If you would like a service that will take you 20 years back in technology this is the company for you. Thieves that commit fraud. Jail them!!! Negative numbers if I could possibly enter into yelp that way!!!

Terrible service. Internet goes down for multiple days at a time. I've never had such inconsistency with an internet provider. I always have to alert them to downed internet. I have no idea why they can't figure it out and fix it on their own.

I am updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars. Everyone at Redshift that I spoke to admitted that they can not provide good service in my area (Las Palmas). They all told me to change my service to Xfinity. I did and they were completely right, my internet is blazing fast and I am enjoying the great fiberoptic internet speed. Thank you for your honesty and the great customer service. It is unfortunate that growing radio traffic was interfering (and basically shutting down) Redshift's wireless internet in my area. I was with Redshift for 18 years.

Absolutely wretched. Supposed to open about an hour ago but still isn't open, keep you on hold for three minutes just for nobody to be there so they can keep the false appearance of business instead of honestly sending to voicemail on off times. Signs that pretend to be open even when closed. If you value time, beware

Good local internet service. No charge for bandwidth use! Very helpful when I've needed it, courteous over the phone and good response times when solving problems. 4 vs 5 stars simply because their DSL+ forces you into AT&T (who provides a very insecure modem), and their spam/phish email protection isn't that great. Definitely recommend over other local providers, as well as big cable and satellite internet service providers, particularly if you use WiFi for everything (phone, tv, etc.)

Live in Santa Lucia Preserve above Carmel Valley. Clear view of tower on the peak. But the internet service is horrible. Fast when working but frequently it drops off. While it comes back very quickly, the frequent drop-offs make on demand viewing or recording virtually impossible. And service interruptions are frequent. They do not repair despite repeated service calls. DSL was slower but far more reliable.

As amazing as it sounds in 2017, we live in a neighborhood in Santa Cruz mountains that does not have any highspeed internet options nor any cell coverage. I was chasing down every possibility and either getting "sorry we don't have service in your area" or "we can get you connected for $250,000, please pay upfront" when I stumbled across RedShift internet services. They're a small, locally owned company where phones are picked up by a real human beings sitting in Monterey and emails are answered promptly. Instead of blowing us off like every other ISP, even though we live more than an hour away from their office, they came out to check out our neighborhood. Even though the terrain and the trees were too challenging for them to directly provide service to the houses, RedShift moved heavens to figure out a way to get a 100 Mbps wireless backhaul at reasonable prices into the area so that we could distribute the internet signal and finally join the rest of US and stream Netflix and watch YouTube videos. It's been 6 months since we were able to get the link up and running - it's been a very challenging winter with hurricane force winds and torrential downpours, and RedShift has done admirable job keeping the link up and running, quickly responding and figuring out ways to keep people online while dealing with downed towers and antennas. We've had some disruptions this winter, but RedShift's been responsive and prompt in responding to our support requests and keeping us updated on their progress and getting us back online. Living in the mountains, we're used to power and phone service going down, and RedShift has been a life line in keeping our little neighborhood online come rain or come shine.
