Good surprise. Excellent welcome. The rooms could do with a little updating but are clean. Refrigerator and microwave. No coffee. Mall with dining options nearby. Pretty well placed. Good value for money.

Reasonable discount inn nearby to Monterey Bay. The rooms were spacious and clean enough, the carpet may have needed a deep clean though. The bed and sheets were clean and fresh. The walls were a bit thin. Check-in was easy and as expected, parking is included. I'd recommend staying here if you are looking for something on the cheaper side.

The first thing you notice when entering the room at motel Pelican Inn: the smell. DISGUSTING! It smells like scruffy, wet, old mold. It was so Bad that we were scared for our lung-health. There were silverfish on the ceiling, a clear indicator for mold. The ceiling was very old-looking, just like the carpet. Furthermore, the window in the bathroom was half-broken. BY FAR THE WORST MOTEL WE HAVE STAYED AT FOR OUR ENITRE CALIFORNIA ROADTRIP. Do not stay here!

The room was in poor condition, smelled of mold and silverfish were running on the wall, the view of the garden specified in the booking was not available (see photo), the door did not close properly, the bathroom window was broken

Stayed here for a quick stop before heading to LA the next day. No frills but a place to lay your head for a descent price. The fire place was cute and the bed was clean and decent. No safety lock but the one that's on the handle which is strange. Found blood on the mirror...I decided to skip on the shower and wait until I get to the hotel in LA. Super thun walls. Heard another person's TV in all night. If I were a starving student , this would be ideal.
Will not be staying here again.

Very bad staff management and rooms are bad with smoke smell. Worst owner behavior. He was barking at me when I complained about the smoke smell in the room. I had to run away from the place without any hesitation rather speaking to the owner.Noteworthy details: Very bad
