The room was super comfortable, spacious and clean. Well located, easy to get to and a few blocks from the supermarket to buy food. The room had a microwave and coffee maker, with complimentary coffee. The only poor thing was the breakfast. But it's forgiven, because the service in general was very good

We visited from out of town with family on vacation. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. We had a fireplace which added a nice ambiance to our stay. The room and all amenities were very clean and updated. I would recommend to all my friends and family. Very nice location as well. Thank you to the entire staff.

On our way from Los Angeles to San Francisco we had two free nights and we found this very affordable 2* hotel. The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. Martin, the receptionist, attended to us perfectly. I recommend it.

Avoid. There was mold in the shower. When I asked them to clean it, they came (the next day) and half-cleaned it, getting rid of some and leaving some.(If you read the reviews, you’ll find others noting lack of cleanliness in various areas of this place.)Cleaning staff were asked to come after 10 a.m. to take care of it the next day, but they were knocking on the door 15 minutes before that time.When I told the manager about this later, he was very rude and kept talking over me and interrupting me instead of letting me even tell him what the problem was. He accused me of just wanting a refund, when I had already told him I wasn’t looking for a full refund, just to discuss this and see what was fair. He chastised me for not telling them the problem so they could change our rooms, even though after two different things I’d told them that they hadn’t taken care of, there was no reason to believe they’d handle anything properly.The rooms have thin walls. You could hear every time a car door was closed or the vehicle was locked. People in the next room audible with raised voices.Carpets are cheap. Most of the lights are like hospital lighting. Location wasn’t what we went there for, but it was so-so, no big deal.The fireplace was the one high point here. We enjoyed that.I wouldn’t recommend this place. Avoid any place that doesn’t properly clean and then tries to put the problem on you.

There was mold in the shower that they half-cleaned only the next day after I complained. And the cleaning staff came specifically during a time window when I asked them not to.Loud rooms--you can hear every car door and next-door neighbor. Weird lighting. Crappy carpets.To top it all off, the management was extremely rude. Kept interrupting me and trying to talk over me, accusing me of just wanting a refund, when I had made clear I would like at most a partial refund, but more than anything for the complaints to be heard. If this had been a fairly cheap hotel, it would be fine. But they charge a relatively high price and pretend they're a nice place. AVOID!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Clean room. FNice and helpful staff. (Breakfast- coffee, packaged pastry, yogurt, cereal, meal, orange, Apple, oatmeal. )

It's more like your typical 3.7-3.8 rating for a casual apartment type feeling here. Old buildings. There's room for improvement. Very comfortable place to stay and convenient for walking to downtown Monterey. Low key area. Decent prices with deals that can turn into $90-$110 per night. Quiet parking lot onsite. Free complimentary grab and go Costco/Kirkland type pastries, cereal, fruits, and organic fruit juices/coffee in the tiny lobby daily. Very small lobby, but rooms are generously spacious with cozy fireplace. Everyone minds their own business here and it's not far from the shopping outlets and Cinemark/Century movie theater. Staff was friendly. Only thing I disliked was the hair dryer in our room. It was a 1/5 rating because hair dryer was nearly busted, sticky/dirty to the hands, and not too functional. They really need to replace that thing. Microwave and refrigerator plus cups and coffee maker included were very clean. Bathroom decent with very good water pressure in shower area. Room was unique! Loved the interior. Nice upgraded lights. Closet and bathroom sink were small. We enjoyed the stay because it was very close walking distance to medical appointment offices too. Not bad for staying in Monterey for a few days. Cozy bed and soft clean linens for sure. Fireplace helps in the room. Slept very well here. Very walkable. Enjoyed the stay.

We stayed here for 3 days while celebrating our anniversary and absolutely loved our time at Munras Inn. The room was clean, updated, and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately the room wasn't clean on the first day (lots of hair in the bed and shower). We noted this at reception and received a new bedsheet for the night and thorough room service the next day.
The room itself was very nice, even with an electric fireplace. No safe in the rooms - valuables could be left at reception.
There were few tasty, pre-packaged items for breakfast. Unfortunately, the plastic bowls for the muesli/yoghurt were dirty.
Walkability: A gas station and a diner are within walking distance
