Very unprofessional and not considerate on emergency last min cancellation! They wont give your money back! I will never go there! They very rude not willing to work to changing dates when you have an emergency situation! I lost my money! I wouldn't deal with them again?? Bad service and not considerate!

Great location, but being that the location is ideal and probably where they get most of their traffic from, the hot water should not smell like hot wet farts. Both the shower and the tap hot water smelled like farts. They refused to comp us, and said all of the rooms are like that. The front desk person Mike came and smelled our water and he hadn't encountered an incident like that before. Disgusting! For the amount we paid to Stay there, and it not being advertised that they have fart water is completely unacceptable and disgusting.

Very friendly staff. Room was comfortable and clean. Great location, close to the Fisherman wharf and mile 17 highway. Would definitely stay here again. No bugs, no roaches, no pine sol smell.

THERE WAS A CAMERA IN MY ROOM!!(30) This is probably by far the worst place I have stayed at the guy at front desk and very rude. I called before hand and asked if a deposit and I was told no deposit required just card for the room and I also asked what cards they accepted I was told credit card , visa etc. once my arrival the rude man said a 100$ deposit is required and I needed a credit card to pay for the room, I told him that I was the one that called and asked about all that stuff and he was stuck and didn’t know what to say all he said was it’s just one of those things he said he would let it slide this one time . Once I got to the room he gave me (30) I walked to the bathroom and noticed something stuck to the TV and to my surprise it was a SMALL CAMERA. I went to the front desk but the door was closed , I have a 1yr old imagine if I would’ve gotten undressed or undressed her. HOW SICK

The room itself is comfortable, although there's only one rolling office chair to sit in. Tiny refrigerator sitting on the floor and a small microwave sitting on top of that.
On the downside I almost broke my neck walking off a planter that's at the same level as the parking lot, Bettina 10 inch drop to the walkway. Could not see it at night.
The first morning we were there we got a call saying that got to change the water heaters. Stuff happens, magnifies the real issue, is that there was no water pressure in the room. The faucet in the room float about a quarter of an inch stream and the diverter valve in the shower didn't work so there was almost no water coming out the shower head. Was there for 2 days and didn't get cleaned up once.
I've spent about $80,000 on hotels in the last 4 years. The manager of the office was indifferent and dis-genuine when I tried to address these issues.
I believe they advertise having a pool. What is empty and full of debris.
I cannot recommend this hotel.
Safety: You have to be careful walking between the parking lot and the walkways as the surfaces are uneven and some of the planters are dangerous.
Food & drinks: The only thing they offer is coffee

everything was pretty decent, but i found two hairs in our tub, which was gross and definitely lowered the rating. however, for the price i paid, it was not so terrible. maybe bring your own cleaning supplies if you want to be extra careful. the bed was comfortable and the sheets were pretty soft compared to some at other motels. the room was pretty large as well, lots of empty space. this hotel is right by a busy road, so be aware of that! not the best by any means but also not the worst either.

Staff was courteous and helpful.. Make sure you have a major credit card if you book a room or you won't get checked in. Though we were able to get a refund which I appreciate greatly. Thank you!

Now let me tell you something, this place is the numero uno in all of this little town. I made the mistake of rocking up to America with a head and a half of hair extensions and no decent hair dryer, the lads here lent me their high powered hair dryer which restored both my hair and my life, also made me a cup of coffee in the morning, they were legit the friendliest staff in all of Monterey. The rooms are spacious and exude luxury. The blackout curtains had me sleeping so well i woke up with the most energy I have had since I was a wee lass. This place makes me wish I could own and renovate a home to have the exact same vibe. Ten stars, this place rocks.

Rated high, due to recent updates, from older style, single story, old style motel.
Complete repaint, update. Pool remodeled.
Driveways , parking, resurfaced.
Happy, helpful reception staff.
Short drive to food outlets, marina and shore walks, etc.
Noteworthy details: Recently modernised, and updated.

We got a non-smoking room.
However when we went inside it smelled like cigarettes. I had noticed the the smoke alarm was covered with a plastic bag.
There were people smoking outside the rooms but the smoke was coming in the room and through the heater. Although I feel someone had also previously smoked in the room. I have asthma and this was very unpleasant to say the least.
When we notified the front desk upon check out nothing was done about it.
I would not come back here, and would not recommend it to anyone who has asthma or any health issues that would be affected by this.
