Funny!
I called to ask how much they charge to have a fvan test and the lady on the phone refused to tell me at first, i don't know what's the big deal, i was only asking how much it would cost since people told me they were about $200 and i wanted to make sure. She finally quoted $400. The way she was acting over the phone was weird to me. Not bringing my pets here .

My dog needed some dental work under anesthesia and the staff made a negative experience as smooth and positive as possible. They called to follow up on her after surgery and took great care of her. Attaching a pic of her post op still getting the effects of the drugs

Kind and friendly staff, however, I had requested a specific doctor, and when I got there, I was told that I was scheduled with another doctor for our initial appt. It was disappointing, but I rescheduled because Dr. CHUNG was highly recommended.

Monterey Animal Hospital is the best! Dr. Chung has been seeing my dogs and cats for over 7 years now. I always feel so lucky to have found this hospital. The staff are so incredibly nice and caring and I always know my pets are in the best hands.

Unfortunately I lost the vet I had gone to for over 30 years. I interviewed other vets and was very unhappy. Everyone at this office is so nice, I'm delighted! The vet examined Gracy while I was in the room and even got on the floor with her. She felt very comfortable! I am recommending this vet to all of my friends!

We have been coming to the Monterey Animal Hospital for many, many years. They have been with us, and for us, through the lifespans of a number of beloved dogs, from the excitement of a new rescue to the final moments of life. In all cases, the vets and staff have been responsive, knowledgeable, and, above all, kind and gracious to us and our pets.

Nothing but great things to say about this place! I tried three different vets in the area, none seemed too interested or helpful at all with my pups situation. From the office staff staff, techs to the vets themselves - they’ve all been amazing & seem to genuinely care about what they do. Grateful we found them!

We are first time vet clients and this place made us comfortable and happy. Very easy, friendly, fast appointment, helpful staff that seemed genuinely happy to see us, and our 14 year old pup is happier than she has been in years only a few days after starting treatment! They were helpful and informative. Very appreciative these folks are here, and that we chose to try them first! The pricing was nothing bad as we had feared, and in fact seemed a bargain for the area.

Across-the-board felt like great care. They addressed all our stated concerns, took time and followed up on any lingering questions the day after. Also really appreciated that Dr. Mulder included our young daughter in the exam!

This practice has skilled, compassionate vets, tech and office staff. I have been a client of the hospital since relocating to Carmel and they have cared for my 3 dogs and my cat for the past 3 years. They have provided the gamut of services from general preventative wellness visits to extensive diagnostics and, unfortunately, helping me to say goodbye to my beloved 14 year old German Shepherd when her time had come. I have worked with Dr's. Fenstermaker, Dr. Chung and Dr. Enriques and I can't say enough good things about the three of them. Dr. Chung, in particular, has been so incredibly skilled and caring during the care of my older dogs. And when the time came to need to say goodbye, Dr. Chung and her staff made everything as comfortable and stress free as possible for me and my beloved girl. We are lucky to have this practice and these fine vets and their entire team. Thank you, Monterey Animal Hospital.

Wonderful vet, great service, everybody here is so kind and caring. Dr Chung is caring, thorough and takes time to explain things. No desire to find a different vet unless we move.

I am an RVT at a specialty but my girls still need GP care, I drive from Prunedale to see these folks. My dogs have seen Drs. Enriques, Chung, and Wilson and all have provided great care. If you have a pet with anxiety or behavioral issues please touch base with their technician Nicole who specializes in pet behavior (she can do nail trims, blood draws, and anal gland expressions on my husky with no sedation and mild restraint). Everyone else is fantastic, great communication and response times as well. Since this is a privately owned practice (which is hard to find in vet med these days) prices are reasonable and at least you know your money is going towards a locally owned business.
