They have a good collection of wine which is hard to find elsewhere and one older gentleman is really lovely who works there. Today I did go in and a man who I hadn't been helped by before was ringing up my purchase. I asked if they carried a specific bottle of sparkling wine and as he walked around and looked for it he said "woman are always causing trouble." And then laughed as if we should agree. Not a good experience.

This wine shop is owned by an ex-con acholic yet dry proprietor. Inherited it from his family and has no real affiliation with the imbibing community. The only thing that motivates the owner is if you give him bucks for the product on the shelf. Most of the clerks are even less knowledgeable than the owner The only reason to purchase from this store is that you want to flush money down the drain and support the delusion of the owner

Wildly over-priced liquor store catering to the 0.1% of Monterey with an incredibly asinine layout of merchandise. Because they're too cheap to remodel, they've put the beer cold case behind the register counter. Duh. Unbelievably rude staff. There are so many great neighborhood liquor stores in Monterey and Carmel -- why would you give these people your money? Try Cork n Bottle or just go across the street to Whole Foods, or even next door to Elroy's (if you don't mind their abusively high prices).

Came in for a cold 6 pack and the beer i received out of their cooler is barely colder than room temp. If you are selling cold beer, sell COLD beer....
