Joel really knows what he's doing. My husband has about a million 10-99s and Joel is always so helpful making sure we don't miss a thing! The bad reviews are just from people who have no sense of humor! He is professional and will get your taxes done in a timely matter. If you want to take the worry out of your taxes next year, hire Joel!

Terrible. Unprofessional and condescending. Constantly made rude remarks and did not reply to any of my questions or concerns. Don't waste your money.

He's so rude! I've never encountered the sort of treatment I got from this person. Belittling, condescending, and way overpriced. I've done better with TurboTax and self study. I've done my own taxes for decades (I work in a related field), even handled two audits which were successfully resolved in my favor. I read a lot, I'm in a lot of groups, I know about tax breaks and loopholes for the average household. We had an unusual tax situation one year and that's why I seeked his services. His secretary screwed up the appointment date and insisted that all I had to bring was my w-2 and copy of prior year tax filings. Knowing a bit about taxes I was surprised but obliged. One day out of the blue (and a month too early) I get a reminder call for an appointment the next day. Since I was flexible, I agreed even though that was not the appointment date that I had set. When I got there, mr. almighty chews me out for not bringing a slew of paperwork (about which I had repeatedly asked) and made fun of my side business. Days later I receive a huge document with instructions on everything I should have brought to the appointment I had just had!!! I had no time to work on the taxes myself given the new level of complexity, but I should have not dealt with him at all. I didn't see any value added over TurboTax and it cost me about 12 times more. Never again.

Your filing of our 2012 tax returns included flaws costing Cate and myself over $40 thousand dollars (IRS and State) that I paid this year. I have no idea how long it will take me to recover this money, not including the interest I was earning.

I recently had the VERY unpleasant experience of utilizing Mr. Knight's tax services. According to the IRS, my most recent federal tax returns were not filed until mid-May, 2013, after I paid for the services on April 7, 2013. The check was cashed 2 days later on April 9, 2013. There were NO concerns or questions raised by Mr. Knight on April 7, 2013 when I gave him my completed organizer. I was eventually fined a $1,080 Failure-to-file penalty by the IRS; and Mr. Knight refuses to accept, or acknowledge ANY resposibility for the filing penalty. Stating that I claim to be a victim rather than the cause. The 2013 returns were filed with the IRS on May 15, 2013. 5 days later, I received an audit letter from the IRS. In Mr. Knight's attempt to handle my audit, I had numerous serious questions about my late return, fines, penalties and the upcoming audit ALL of which went unanswered by Mr. Knight. Just recently, with just 17 days until my IRS audit, Mr. Knight chastized me about my complaints about his and his office's handling of my 2012 return and the subsequent IRS penalties that resulted; and he fired me claiming that I was the cause! Leaving me holding the bag with NO representation for my IRS audit. Best of luck to anybody that may need any professional tax help with this so-called tax service
