Do not eat at the restaurant. 20
Minute wait for a table. 50 minute wait for the bland undercooked food. I’m appalled.

Hotel shut water off to my room with no warning at all. Very nice staff but no warning at all is kind of ridiculous. No crew discount for breakfast either, which was advertised.

This hotel is incredibly overrated.
1- The overall look and feel inside is dated and dingy. Carpet are beaten down and worn out...it all feels dirty.
2- Rooms are outdated and smelt like old smoke. We had to open all windows and let air circulating throughout our 2-night stay. The sliding door to the bathroom was broken and kept on getting off its track; in a couple of instances it wouldn't even open. The tissue box was empty when we first checked in and the toilet paper roll had maybe 15 squares left without the proverbial triangle fold as signature of housekeeping.
3- both queen beds were made with a flat sheet sized for a full-bed as demonstrated on the pictures. (the bottom 4-5 inches of the mattress was not covered by the sheet.
4-The toilet had a trail of ants (picture)
All of these finding combined with a room that was originally priced at $500+/night (we ultimately paid $305/night as attendees of a conference held there) makes this place one of the biggest rip-off. I am not sure how they got their 4-star hotel status but I can assure you that I stayed at Motel 6s with better condition and for a fraction of the cost.
If I ever have to attend another conference at this location in the future, I will not stay at this hotel EVER AGAIN.

This was the absolute worst stay that I've had at a Hyatt both as a globalist and without the status. Staff are rude and confused, was given different information from each person I spoke with. Including different prices for a paid upgrade. I have sentiments regarding this, but will not make assumptions. The hotel is a motel with the name Hyatt thrown onto it and staff behave as such. The rooms are musty and outdated. Time to definitely get rid of the carpets in the hallways. I'm afraid to see what the regular rooms look like because the "upgrade" to a golf view room is a basic room with a golf view. Parking late was a nightmare. I only chose this motel as I had family visit, it was late, and we were far away from my place. Was extremely embarrassed after choosing this "Hyatt". Was also told they could not accomodate a late checkout even though check in isn't until 4pm. The only saving grace was that I used points and even then, I wish I would've just chosen Carmel Valley Ranch or even the Ventana Campground which would've been better.
Rooms: Old, outdated, and musty.

A great stay. This hotel is very dog friendly - you can bring them into the lobby bar or by the fire pits just outside.

Used resort pass to use the pools for the day. Girl at the front desk was lovely and helpful. 2 pools were available to us, and both had a hot tub, towels, and enough seating to lounge in. 1 pool had a little game area with corn hole, bocci ball, table tennis, lawn chess. It was a very pretty well kept grounds. Would absolutely do this again!

The property has a golf course and is huge. They provide a map of the rooms and the amenities because the property is so large. Customer service was friendly, room was clean and comfortable, pool area was clean, the fitness center also has a dry sauna and steam room next door to the spa. They have hammocks, fire pits and game areas as well as pickleball courts.

Not a 4 Star Hotel or a Hyatt Regency level. Look elsewhere for a better value and experience.
Rooms are worn out, and 2300 blocks (specifically 2308) along CA Highway 1 are very noisy. Landscaping could be better for the area—dumpy property.
Thank you to Priscilla for taking my feedback.

Wonderful places, great customer service but the wifi doesn’t work and there is no T-mobile reception. Plan accordingly!
Rooms: Great conditions

Enjoyable stay at the Hyatt Regency Monterey. I would advise this is not your typical Regency hotel, it’s more like a golf course inn. Rooms are in separate buildings and the walkways are open-air like a motel, but the room itself was very clean and modern.
They are on a golf course and do have a cafe, restaurant on site. Large pool for kids and a couple hot tubs.
Love that each room has a ceiling fan and modern AC. Complaints include a half shower with zero water pressure, using a tiny wand to wash small sections of your body at a time. Also, super disappointing to get charged a $35 resort fee AND $20 parking fee in a park yourself motel-like setting. There should be a little shame gouging people in an environment like that. Solid 3.5/5.
