487 Foam St, Monterey“Accommodations were great. Staff were friendly. The main street is a little loud. However, if you aren't sensitive to noise or have a room away from the street you should be good. The room I was in was great. Has historic vibes with modern furniture. Morning breakfast is basic and has food sensitivity options available. Walkable to Cannery Row and have a few thrift shops.”

500 Martin St, Monterey“Undoubtedly a gem in Monterey. My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at this Inn, and we had a wonderful time. The Garden Cottage room was very comfortable and romantic. You will feel very relaxed as you walk through the beautiful and peaceful gardens and enjoy the relaxing aromas lingering in the air from the abundant flowers. Breakfast was served at 9 am, and of course, it was very delicious. The General Manager, Wendy, was attentive to our needs and made us feel comfortable. She made our stay pleasant and, without a doubt, gave us the desire to return.”

571 Wave St, Monterey“Things I like about this place:
1. The reception staff was very very friendly and accommodating.
2. The hotel parking and lobby was very easy to find.
3. The room and toilet were exceptionally clean.
4. The hotel is just a short walk away from Cannary Row.
5. The seagulls were very friendly too.
Some downsides are:
1. Breakfast is not included. But there is an amazing cafe called The Wave Street Cafe right across the street.
2. It's pretty expensive, and parking requires an additional surcharge of 17 USD + tax.
3. The parking spot is pretty small, so it's best to drive a smaller car.”

652 Cannery Row, Monterey“Probably the most beautiful hotel I’ve stayed at. Everyone from the valet to food delivery staff was polite and welcoming and went out of their way to ensure I had a good stay. I had a corner room on the 2nd floor with unobstructed views of the bay and beach below. The perfect setting to eat breakfast every morning and a seat by the window to read before bed with the fireplace on. I could have honestly spent my entire stay in the window seat. Prime location with everything you need to see in Monterey in walking distance. Wine and cheese from 4-6pm and complimentary breakfast delivered to your room. My only bit of criticism was timing of breakfast delivery. It was 20 minutes later my first day and within the window the second day. I’d err on the side of ordering for delivery a little earlier than you’d like it. I’d absolutely stay here again and wish my stay had been longer.”

1110 Del Monte Ave, Monterey“I'm glad that the wife and I found this place.
The staff was super nice, the location was convenient and close to a lot of shops. We also had a nice view of the bay.
As you read all of the reviews, please keep an open mind.
The outside of the building could use some touch-ups to draw a little more appeal. But Monterey is a historical town, so yeah, the buildings are older. That is one of the charms of this hotel. It's old school, but you can see that the business is making changes to keep it relevant but also maintain that vintage vibe.
The rooms are small but cozy. The bathroom has a bidet, which is awesome, in my opinion. The water pressure in the shower is AMAZING!!! The shower fixtures they have in there was a HUGE bonus. (Check the photos).
Breakfasts is an extra cost, but well worth it!
The rooftop bar was also perfect. Good food, cocktails, and an amazing view.
Sorry for the long review. All in all, my wife and I loved staying here. We will be back next year.
Thanks, Hotel 1110.
Nearby activities: Plenty of things to do right at Fishermans Wharf and the downtown area. Bars, Family fun on the beach, and plenty of sights to photograph.
Safety: A few homeless people are nearby on the beach, but no one bothered my wife and I when we went out for our walks during the day or evening.
Walkability: Fisherman's Wharf is a 10-minute walk. The shoreline was just a few minutes' walk.
Food and drinks: There is a rooftop bar that has good drinks and an amazing view.
They had plenty of food spots within walking distance, McDonald's, London Pub, the dusty bowl, Sapporo steak house to mention a few.”

242 Cannery Row, Monterey“Monterey Bay Inn is absolutely stunning. I stayed there on my way to a conference and was blown away by the beauty of the place. The wildlife is incredible—sea otters playing, seals lounging, and pelicans flying around. Watching the sunrise over the bay was the highlight of my trip. I’m from West Tennessee, and this was a nice change of scenery. I can't wait to come back!”

1010 Munras Ave, Monterey“The room was super comfortable, spacious and clean. Well located, easy to get to and a few blocks from the supermarket to buy food. The room had a microwave and coffee maker, with complimentary coffee. The only poor thing was the breakfast. But it's forgiven, because the service in general was very good”

2332 N Fremont St, Monterey“We were traveling from CA to WA and we stayed there. It was great!! Room was clean, bathrooms as well. My favorite part, the pressure of the water was incredible, giving you a massage after a long time driving…
They also offered coffee & hot coco in AM and PM.
Service was great too!
Perfect place to stay when traveling!
Rooms: Clean, comfy and spacious.
Noteworthy details: Amazing water pressure.”

350 Calle Principal, Monterey“Location, location, location. Best one in Monterey. First, we were welcomed charcuterie fruits, cheese, chocolate and champagne! The hotel is walking distance to everywhere and we never took our car out. We took Lyft once to a restaurant that was 6 miles away. First night we had a few drinks at the bar. Service was great from Ricky. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning open at 6:30-11 am. We wanted local coffee and simply walked 1/2 a block. The Wells Fargo Bank was also right there the next block. Staff are super friendly and we had a nice corner room with a view of the Marina thanks to Irma. The hotel is due to for a remodel as the bathroom were a little older. The room decor was simple and beds were comfortable. I did love the cotton light robes and slippers they provide and oversized bath towels. Thank you for a great stay!”
“Parking in front, off the busy main road, lots of food options and a Trader Joe's within walking distance. Driving distance, within 10 mins, of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Denise the Menace playground park, and plenty of beaches. The rooms themselves were clean, fresh, with comfortable beds and bathroom.”

2221 N Fremont St, Monterey“Wonderful stay. I booked for 2 nights & the room was nice & clean. Unfortunately the TV, in my opinion, was too small & I couldn't turn it on. Other than that, I recommend staying here ??”
“The structure is very large and this is very beautiful.
The rooms are spacious and very large, the cleanliness was impeccable.
We didn't have a chance to swim in the pool because it was very cold.
The most interesting thing is that in the reception there is a machine where you can make coffee, hot chocolate and many other things, we didn't expect it and it was a pleasant surprise!
Very kind reception staff, they explain everything to you perfectly.
Highly Recommended!

1278 Munras Ave, Monterey“We arrived late. The parking lot was small and full, one car per room. It is an old style roadside inn. Although old, the outside looks well maintained. The rooms look recently remodeled, very clean and very quiet despite “no vacancy” check-in was a breeze. For the price and cleanliness, I would stay here again.”

Two Portola Plaza, Monterey“Second time I'm staying at this hotel, just as good as the last time. Excellent service, terrific location, near the water, and within one mile walking distance of Cannery Row. And it's a very pleasant walk with lots to see and explore. Rooms are spacious, the only criticism is the hotel is so large it is easy to get a little lost finding your room. And the parking garage is separate from the hotel. But minor inconveniences for a quality hotel.”
“Rooms: Clean, comfortable, and affordable.
Nice patios , friendly and helpful staff.
Food & drinks: Free breakfast was nice. The normal motel breakfast, eggs, sausage waffles, yogurts, fresh fruit, cereal, toast ,bagels, English muffins juices and coffee ???
Noteworthy details: They do have a strict no smoking on the premises policy. You have to leave the property to smoke
No animals are allowed here either.”
“A wonderful hotel with excellent service. Truly a 3-star experience, just like in Europe. Beautiful interior with everything you need and more. The pool is clean and very warm. I will definitely come back and recommend it to friends. Pup-friendly. We had a magical three-day stay.”
“Good room in the given price range. Unfortunately, as with almost all motels, road noise. The room didn't have a fridge, I had nowhere to put a drink. Otherwise clean room, blanket a bit weak considering the low morning temperatures. The heating could be turned on, but it was too loud for sleep.”

675 Munras Ave, Monterey“Very nice rooms, clean. Contrary to other comments, we didn’t find the room loud at all, even if our room was on the intersection. The staff is super nice, there is an underground free parking, and the coffee/tea/water station was very convenient. 10 min walk from the wharf, but surrounded by nice restaurants (dinner, acai bowl, sandwichs, ice cream…). Would come back again!”

55 Camino Aguajito, Monterey“Monterey Bay Lodge is in the best location.
The Monterey Bay is right across the street.
There's also a beautiful lake on the South side of the Lodge
(Across from the Rooms)
It has paddle boats, some look exactly like the yellow ducklings that float in a bathtub or they have a white Swan.
It is "quaint" in some ways, but not quaint as far as design, much more of a "Beach/ Bay Lodge"
There's a medium sized outdoor firepit area with comfortable and up-to-date outdoor furniture.
I remember about 2-3 or 4 Fire pits set in a garden with beautiful white light bulbs strung across that area.
The warm pool is just on the other side of the Firepit meeting/hanging out area, and has a Jacuzzi.
I can say that I thought the exterior public areas were definitely absolutely gorgeous and peaceful.
You can smell the fresh air coming off the Pacific Ocean and the Monterey Bay.
The rooms are clean and simple with big King sized beds, or a Queen bed. I never stayed in a room with 2 beds.
I'm not positive, but it seems like the rooms are all a King or a Queen without a 2nd bed?
(I'd ask first before going if you want 2 beds) they very well might have.
The rooms are all outdoor entrance.
They spread/circle around the pool area, some are two stories and the one story rooms with a front door and a back sliding door that takes you outside in an enclosed area just for you ~ has 2 comfortable chairs and a table for enjoying the outdoors.
Then just 20 feet away are the Firepits ~ all this is”

386 Pacific St, Monterey“Very clean, quiet and nice rooms. Housekeeping staff was great. Close walking distance to the wharf and other nearby places like starbucks! Will def stay here again! they serve coffee and pastries in the am which is wonderful to start off your day! front desk staff is kind. the only thing i disliked was that there is no microwave in the room, so if you bring leftovers from nearby restaurants there is no way to re-heat and you'll have to toss unfortunately :( other then that i absolutely enjoyed it”
“Clean and simple. Had all the basic amenities (fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, iron + ironing board, TV, WiFi, AC, free parking on premises) tho like other guests have noted, a small table/desk would have been nice. Toiletries were very basic (bar soap, lotion, shampoo tho no conditioner) but we didn’t mind. Was initially stuffy, but aired out quickly after we cracked open the windows. Same block as a CVS and across the road from Denny’s. Check-in was straightforward. Place looked remodeled so I suspect the older reviews talking about stained sheets and bugs were from before the big upgrade. Only complaints are the noise from planes taking off from the nearby airport, but that’s going to be true for all motels in the area; and that the “queen bed with queen sofa bed” were definitely doubles.”
“Rooms: King room is great! Ample space, big cozy bed, dressing table area, large bathroom with walk in shower, sitting area and my room has a little balcony. I have a partially obstructed view but it’s still lovely. The sound and smell of the ocean and seagulls … fantastic morning soundtrack!
Also has small fridge, Nespresso machine, tea kettle, and waters, luxurious robe, hair dryer, and iron. With no tacky price lists to charge you for the drink “extras.”
Walkability: 7-10 minute walk to Cannery Row and the much less pricey, far less fancy, restaurants on Lighthouse Ave.
Food and drinks: Chocolate ganache tart at the lobby bar is delicious.”
