Underachieving and rude staff. Outside restroom that is strangely inaccessible…. Very slow pump…. Clearly not concerned with crushing the competition (across the street). If I had it to do over, I would just roll across FREMONT street.

Make sure you can get gasoline and a receipt at this gas station. After which your car will be refueled and you can easily confirm this with a receipt and perhaps even an increased value of the remaining mileage on your car and a completely fair price being debited from your bank account.

Good location and no lines. They need to update their card processing at the pump, took 3-4 trys until it worked.

This Exxon gas station was OK. It served its purpose.We were staying nearby at the Colton Inn on Pacific St and I needed to fill up our rental before returning it. I did a quick Google Maps search. This Exxon popped up a half-mile away and looked good enough. I guess one can consider this the outskirts of downtown Monterey.This is a small Exxon station (eight pumps) at a fairly busy intersection. Due to the limited space, it wasn't the easiest place to pull up to a pump. A big pickup truck was taking up two spaces by itself. I had to reverse next to pump #7 to fill up. The price for regular ($5.459/gal) was expensive, but that was expected. The pump was in good condition and my receipt printed clearly.There was a food truck on-site, next to the Food Mart. I think they were selling bubble tea, IIRC, among other things.

No restroom. An always out of order restroom is the same as an always closed one.

Wife and I stopped to use the restroom and get drinks. The bathroom was horrid and the cashier was on the phone the entire time we were there.

Extremely rude customer service. Seems the same guy is still there, reading the other reviews.It kept saying “Please wait…” on our pump and I didn’t trust just leaving without this being resolved and actually cancelled. The employee obviously didn’t care, just told us to move on to another pump. When I told him that he didn’t have to be so annoyed about it, he started yelling at me that Exxon is a million dollar company. ???? Said employee also told another customer, who was there to use the restroom, that he would be using it first. And off he went.Nice. We are getting gas elsewhere. Our credit card better not be charged by this gas station.
