Nice experience we had in the few times we rode the boats here. Very beautiful lake and spectacular views all around. The people working at this business were nice and friendly, and the rates are not bad especially if go with the 1-hour ride.

El Estero Boating is on a small jewel of a lake...El Estero Lake, by downtown Monterey, across from famous Dennis the Menace Park, joined by a path along the lake. Nearby are picnic tables, grills & fishing piers. El Estero Boating is across from Monterey Beach, the Recreation Trail, & close to Fisherman’s Wharf…a nice day for families, couples or friends. There's paddleboat rides on two kinds of fiberglass boats. Regular boats seat 4, the larger swan, duck & dragon boats seat 5, with weight capacities. All ages can go with no charge for life vests. Open year-round, closed for windy, wet, and very cold conditions.
